I was recommended to Randy's Downtown Garage, but unfortunately I had a really bad experience with them. At first, I called just to ask about the price of an alignment. I was told it would be $150. When I brought my vehicle in, I was told more work had to be done before they could even do the alignment. On top of that, the representative never disclosed there was a $150 inspection fee just to look at the car. That was never mentioned until I was already there. In the end, I paid almost $1,800 just so they could complete the alignment. They told me the job would take 2 days, but it ended up taking almost 4. I honestly don't even think they worked on my vehicle properly. I was not given a copy of the alignment results (before and after), and the car is still making noises when I drive. I even got into an argument with one of the guys there because instead of answering my questions, he tried to diminish my vehicle by saying it had "a lot of problems." Funny enough, there was no problem taking my $1,800, but suddenly my car was the issue. On top of that, I called the shop at least seven times just trying to get a straight answer about whether they could even work on my vehicle. Every time, I was told "we don't know right now." That kind of response just shows how unprofessional and careless they are. The communication was terrible. Calls were ignored, I was not allowed to speak with the manager, and after multiple attempts I never got a call back. Really bad experience -- I do not recommend this shop. The service was unprofessional, communication was poor, and I felt taken advantage of. No transparency with pricing, delays with repairs, and no proof of proper alignment results. I regret going here.

First time Giving Randys Downtown Garage a try and glad I did ! Made an appointment to drop off car on a Monday morning and was greeted By Andy and the lead service tech . Went over some final concerns for my car and agreed we needed to purchase a part I did not bring . Only a two day wait but Andy saved the day by calling me on Wednesday . I'll definitely give them another try in the future for another repair . All in all friendly staff and quality repair but I do recommend making an appointment only and possibly waiting a day or two longer for the repair to be properly fixed . Thanks guys ! Repairs done : Diagnostic Inspection, Remove and Replace Alternator, Accessory Drive Belt, Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly x2. Post thoughts : car drives great again no horrible noises or whining from the failing alternator and worn belt .

I called these guys to ask about working on my classic car so I say "I hear you guys work on classic cars?"he goes "I try not to." (ok, i'll play along) "yeah, they're a pain huh?" "it's just so hard to find parts." "well, would you be interested in doing a tune up, carb, and distributor adjustment?" and the guy just says "No." As a small business owner, I'd never talk to someone like this and would have words with any employee who did. It's not hard to be like "I'm sorry sir, I appreciate you giving us the opportunity but we don't work on anything pre-fuel injection anymore but I'd recommend XYZ shop, here's their number." No big deal, they don't work on classic cars, but then A. learn how to speak respectfully to customers and B. how about stop using classic cars in your marketing and misleading people?

$200 for an oil change. Not very happy I don't know why they have such high reviews, it is so expensive.

I was then told I was being rude and the manager escalated the situation by using repetitive assertiveness, "You're being rude sir, you're being rude sir!" Just because you say it doesn't mean it's true, and then you escalate and anger a customer that your assistant manager lied to you about. Look to your associates that are lieing about service they didn't perform, it's called fraud. Next time, I'll keep my mouth shut and just report you for fraud. You start an arguement then have to win it, tacky! I'll be back for the service, maybe you're staff will have learned not to lie by then!

I came in for an oil change and was informed by the tech that it would be a few minutes as they had to remove some mud from my skid plate. I told him I wasn't surprised as I live down a dirt road. After removing the skid plate, the tech informed me that some clips were broken and they were going to look for replacements. I was then checked out for the service and sent on my way -- with no further word on the status of my skid plate. Shame on me for assuming the clips had been replaced, since they let me leave without saying another word about it. Shame on me for assuming they would take better care of their customers. After getting on the highway to head home, I could hear the skid plate banging against the bottom of my car before it tore off completely. I promptly called customer service and informed them of the situation, and was told I would receive a follow-up call. The following day, I received a call from the shop and spoke with Corbin, who told me that the invoice (which I never received a copy of via paper or email) stated that the skid plate was damaged upon arrival and it was recommended not to be put back on. I informed Corbin that this had never been communicated to me and let him know exactly what I had been told. He had nothing to say other than that they would be unable to replace it. I stated that if it was recommended not to be put back on, they should have: 1. Told me that. 2. Not put it back on. I told him I was never informed that the skid plate was hanging below my car before being sent out of the shop -- and was met with silence. I called customer service again, and while the representative acknowledged my frustration, she again stated they could not replace it. So now I'm out both the cost of the service and the cost of a new skid plate. 1. If the vehicle was damaged upon arrival as they claim, I should have been informed of that before they proceeded with the service. 2. If they didn't recommend putting it back on, they shouldn't have. And I should've been told. 3. They instead decided to put it back on anyway and were unable to secure it properly. I should have been informed that my skid plate was dragging below my car before I left the shop -- but surprise, I wasn't. I firmly believe they broke the clips off my skid plate while trying to remove it, and didn't have replacements. They should have AT LEAST told me what happened and zip-tied it back up to prevent it from being torn off on the way home. Unfortunately, they won't do the bare minimum to take care of their customers or take responsibility for their mistakes. STAY AWAY from this place. "Certified technicians" is a joke. Don't let your wives and daughters come here. They will take advantage of you, and it will end up costing you.
