Joe Vickers is the best Manager around and the reason I come to this store even though its a longer drive for me than other locations. He is both pleasant and professional on the phone as well as in person. There are never any dumb questions with him; he understands that customers rely on him to be the tire expert and he gently guides you through the decision/purchasing process. This location is clean, well organized, and accessible. You can make appointments online, saving up to 30 minutes. I placed an order over the phone and was contacted a few days later when the tires had arrived. Earl gave me a ring to inform me of this and the next morning they fit me in to the install rotation with a friendly greeting from Ben. Unfortunately due to Covid, they had no coffee but they finished in half the time so I was able to get on my way into the office to pick some up there. So, I needed tires, obviously, and I commute a bit to work everyday so I needed a middle grade tire that would last me a while. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg though! So, I made an appointment with Discount Tire online, which was easy enough, but I still chose the incorrect size tire. I got there first thing Saturday morning and it was already busy. However, they were very quick and efficient with each customer. They chose the correct tire for me and replaced two of the four that were in desperate need. I had to only way around 1 hour, which I honestly thought would be much longer. Not only did they do an excellent job, but they also fixed my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors for free. The light had been on for a long time and a precious mechanic told me it would be hundreds of dollars to fix. Turns out it just needed new sensors. I offered to pay for them but the gentleman working there wouldn't let me. It was one of the best automotive experiences I've ever had. I will use Discount Tire in the future for all of my tire needs. And you should too! You won't regret it! read more

Most recently I went in to get a zero turn lawn mower tire plugged. They were kind and helpful and very polite. I used the ladies room and it looked and smelled like it was kept clean. I purchase my car tires here when they need replacing and I've always had a pleasant experience, even letting me know when the tires were still under warranty and I could get a prorated discount on a new set. With their tire plan, you can get free patches and plugs or replacement if a tire goes bad before it's time, as well as free rotations. I've never had a problem utilizing this. I'd have to say that I don't know much about cars. What I do know is customer service and business ethics. Now, I understand that up selling is an important thing in many types of businesses. But these guys don't push it. They know what they are talking about which is a good thing because I don't. They were all very nice and had good customer service. I have one issue. There were several signs inside where customers could see that said when employees are in the garage area that they must have on eye protection at all times. When I looked, 1 out of 7 people back there working had the protective eye gear actually on their eyes. Why is this important to a customer? It's important because they had the glasses on their heads if on them at all; they were cutting corners on the glasses rule that was clearly posted. I, as a customer, see that they should be doing something and aren't. I wonder what else they should be doing that they aren't. Overall I'll come back again. This is honestly the best place to buy tires if for only one reason they have the best road hazard warranty you can get. Lifesavers! Amazing customer service. I called at 5:59pm and they close at 6pm. Alex answered the phone (which is already amazing that they answered literally 1 minute before closing). I got a flat- a big gash out on the highway and there were no gas stations at the closest exit. I hit a lot of snags getting the spare on but called Alex every 15 mins to let him know the progress- he answered the phone professionally each time I called even after closing. I was about 10 miles from the shop on my way to Charlotte. It's SO amazing that they waited for me and had the tire pulled ready to go. Seriously- if this is their customer service regularly (which seems to be solid based on the other reviews)- hats off to you. Outstanding! My first time here but they treated me like a repeat customer. My old tires were worn out too early (needed to be replaced at half the rated miles). Even though I didn't buy the worn tires at Discount Tire, they gave me a very generous credit per tire which lowered my invoice by $228! Rotations and balancing for life and a very reasonable hazard policy which covers road hazards, nails, etc. In and out with four new tires in less than an hour. I I buy my tIres here and come for the free rotations. Today my back tire seemed to be losing aIr so I stopped in for a rotation + check on the tire. I forgot how professional and efficient these guys are! I told them we had construction in our lot at work and I was suspicious that something had found its way into my tire. The technician who was doing my service ROLLED my tire into the waiting room so I could see there was only a slight issue with the rim. THAT is goIng above and beyond. I was efficiently in and out. They don't seem to have a good system of getting work completed in order. Wait time too long, some customers without appointments come in and get fixed while I wait. Got the email receipt over 30 minutes before they pulled my truck in. I guess that helps lower the wait time reports. Not happy at all. Will find a better source for tire work. read more

Picked car up at lunch. Walked in to a clean nice lobby, paid for my tires, and was in the car and headed back to work in less than ten minutes. Easy peezy. Would definitely use again. Can't wait for my free rotation in 5,000 miles. So 5,000 miles later and I can say I have never had a quieter smoother rolling set of tires than the Bridgestones I bought. I had a low pressure light so I thought get my tires rotated and see what's up with the tire. Checked in at the counter and away they went. Screw in the tire, balanced each tire, and rotated them all. Technician came in explained all they did, very nice, very professional and courteous. And then the invoice...which was $0.00. What does Discount Tire not understand about "the customer is always right"? They have a policy of only mounting tires on the rear of a vehicle "for safety reasons" when you only purchase two tires. I wanted to mount my new tires on the front of my vehicle. They refused to do it. Period!! I told them I would walk out the door and not purchase from them if I couldn't get them mounted on the front. They refused. I walked. They kissed away a $400 sale and a 10 year customer because of a hardline stance on a questionable safety policy. For those wondering, my rear tires were installed new 6 months and 3000 miles ago. I purchased a set of tires from this location. Everything was fine with the purchase. Its a clean store with nice seating and they move the cars in and out rather quickly so not too much of a wait. The guy discounted the replacement warranty generously so I would buy it since I really didnt want it ,that was nice. I felt that they accommodated my needs during the purchase. The tires were mounted on custom powdercoated rims that I had brought in to have tires mounted on and put on the car. This would have been a 5 star review BUT, When I returned for my included "free lifetime rotation and balance", they kind of rubbed me the wrong way. When the guy, who I'm pretty sure was the assistant manager, handed me the keys to my car when it was finished I immediately noticed that the adhesive strip and foam backing from the old stick on weights were still on my wheels. To elaborate these are black custom rims and the adhesive strip is about three inches of white foam stickiness that is left behind when the old weights are removed. Clearly visible and clearly looking awful. When I asked the guy if he had anything to remove it he looked at me bewildered. I asked if removal was not part of the service, to which he said " no its not" rather rudely. I was really dumbfounded that I was getting grief for something that should have been done no questions asked. I held my ground and he grabbed a tech and she removed it from each wheel. I couldn't help feeling that I was putting them out or something. To me this is part of the service. It took maybe 5 minutes to remove with a rag and some cleaner and it would've only taken 30 seconds per wheel had the guy who balanced the wheels removed the old adhesive completely when he put the new weights on. All in all I just want a place that gets the job done right without cutting corners. If you re cutting corners on basic stuff, what else are you cutting corners on? I will buy tires again from discount tire, I will just be vigilant during the service and it will probably be at another location. read more

Women should never go to to this store alone. You'll be treated as an imbecile and talked to like you're a liar that's trying to get something over on these tire people, and they're not having any of that. On Monday I ordered a set of $600 Michelin tires on their website and agreed to pay $20/ea for installation. It was a good price. The tires were not in stock and the website gave instructions to make the installation appointment once the tires were received in the store. This morning I received and email that my tires were available so I made an appointment to have them installed today at 12:30. I showed up for the appointment but was told by the tire cashier that there was no appointment in my name. He asked if I had the confirmation email for the appointment, I showed it to him and he stumbled around with his words for moment until the assistant tire manager started yelling from a different register. He insisted that I had missed my appointment from the previous day. I again explained that the tires were not in stock the previous day so I could not have had an appointment as their system will not allow you to book the appointment until they have the tires in the store. He couldn't understand what I was telling him. He just wanted to argue and make me out to be at fault for the appointment mishap. He got angry and loud and started speaking very slowly to me as if I were stupid or hard of hearing, neither is true. I asked to speak to the mgr but was told he was out in the garage working on a car. I sat down in the lobby and called my husband to explain the situation and tell him that I was leaving without tires and the assistant manager started yelling at me, while I was on the phone. He was accusing me of lying to my husband about the manager. I was shocked. I calmly asked for my keys back, told them that I wasn't interested in giving someone that treated me the way he had $700 for any reason. So I left without tires. I didn't tell them what they could do with their cheap tires, but I should have. In fact, that's my only regret. This store is not conducive to doing business with women. Don't go there without a man. I won't ever go again for any reason. They will not only talk down to you, they'll raise their voices at you and accuse you of lying to to your husband over some stupid cheap tires. The abuse I took in that store today was not worth the $20/tire cost savings. You always get what you pay for! read more

My personal experience at this location is prolly the saddest of all of them. I had a flat I ordered a new one over the phone they said it would be in the next day. Great. I made an appointment at 10. Showed up at 10 paid for the new certs for the new tire and asked the guy helping me to go ahead and rotate and balance them. At 10:50 they called my name to tell me it was done. Only it wasn't done. They only fixed the new tire they didn't rotate and balance the old tires like I requested. My sales person was Sean Angle and he was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and super patient with me. He answered every single question I had, compared as many tires as I wanted, and never made me feel pressured to purchase anything. Landon delivered my car and walked me through everything he did. As I started to drive away, I noticed my tire sensor was on so I parked and headed back towards the door. Landon immediately jogged over and met me and knew exactly what I was going to ask. He explained that my car had to reset my tire sensors and that the light should go off soon. He said if it didn't, I could return the next day and they would check it free of charge and I wouldn't have to wait.
