Took 4 hours to install new tires and change a tire rod. When it was done instead of doing an alignment, it sat on the parking lot for almost two hours before an alignment was done. Man who checked me out and processed my papers humming quite loudly the whole time he was checking me out. I noticed that he did not do that to all the other men but he did with me, a female. It felt condescending to me. And if you are going to work on a car don't do it and halfway park it and then return to finish two hours later. I went there on a recommendation but never again. They are definitely helpful over there, taking the time to chat with you. They will try to up sale you but doesn't bother me. One guy took a look at my wheels and said they were 20 x 10", so I bought tires on Facebook marketplace and return then after pulling them off they said the wheels were 11" wide and couldn't put the tires on. So that's was a pain. But I got some other wheels and it ended up being cheaper to put on. It took them awhile the day I came in they were very busy. But customer service is nice and it all worked out even though it took longer than anticipated. read more

Ok the staff did not impress me, not fast at all, or real polite but yes accurate. I called for a single tire and with stock of only 1, they went and physically checked it was on hand and held it till I got there. While not the OEM tire (which they were out of and high priced on) they had a foreign knock off that'll get me by with a very decent price. $22 to install seemed high as it was already off the car too. Work was pretty quick since it was off car, but it's a discount place just to keep you moving no doubt about it. read more

Going Above and Beyond... Last night I was on Hilliard-Rome Rd., and heard this awful sound under my Jeep. I pulled into the parking lot and got down on my hands and knees and looked and saw something out of place. I got up and looked around and saw The Discount Tire store across the street. I pulled in there and went inside. The guy at the counter, Red shirt, (sorry didn't catch his name), offered to take a look even though they were about to close for the day. He went out in the parking lot with me and got under my Jeep and find the problem. The exhaust heat shield had rusted and was pinned between some metal causing the sound I was hearing. He tugged a few times and got it out for me. He got up and his uniform was so dirty. I told him thanks so much for his help!! He didn't know that I was a customer of Discount Tires but that didn't matter he went above and beyond to assist me. I really appreciate his help and want everyone out there to know what he did for me. I have nothing but great things to say about this company as my last two vehicles have had Discount Tires on them. I am not one to free willie leave positive reviews. They have to truly wow me and this company, regardless of location, does it again and again. The service, politeness, value, expediency all always exceed my expectations. This is the ONLY place I get tires from. You'll be a fool to go anywhere else given all they provide and that they in most cases price match. Decided to get snow tires for my wife's car because this is the first time in a while that she's gonna have a RWD sedan for the winter instead of her usual AWD SUV. She is mainly driving our kids around so I wanted the safest thing for them. After doing some research, discount tire was recommended by a lot of reviewers so I decided to check it out. Although the tires where expensive, I had a really good experience without any issues. I bought the tires and made my appointment online. They were ready for me to when I got there. They quoted me an hour wait time and they were done with my car in exactly an hour. All the staff that I interacted with were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I don't know what else you can ask for in a business. I'll definitely be going back here for all my future tire needs! Highly recommended!!! read more

I'm not sure that the name of this place is befitting. I went to Discount Tire looking for a discount on Goodyear tires that I had scoped out at my regular Goodyear service shop. At Goodyear, a set of four tires were about $530 total, a little steep for my blood. So, I made an appointment at Discount, told them what tires I needed in what size for what kind of car, and was all set for my appointment on the first Saturday of OSU football season. Living in Columbus, I say this with caution...I couldn't care less about football. So, when the guy reminded me 20 gazillion times that Saturday was game day and that I might want to schedule my appointment around the game, I got a little irritated. It was obvious that they all wanted to huddle around their TV or radio in the shop to keep up with what was going on versus having to change and rotate tires. So, I got in before kickoff. There were a slew of other people in line ahead of me, but I was the only one in the place with an appointment. Despite that fact, I still had to wait for all of them to be serviced first. I ended up getting out later than I was told I would. When I registered at the counter, the guy told me they didn't have the tires I need in the size I need them, but that they did have the optional size in stock. The guy told me the optional tire was basically the same but might make my car handle a little differently (it's much looser). I said I would take them but grumbled about the fact that I had made arrangements prior to my appointment and was assured that my tires in my size would be there for my appointment time. When it came time to pay, my Discount total came to $561 minus a $50 coupon, so really is was more like $511. But I was APPALLED that my DISCOUNT tires cost MORE than the same tires would have cost at my regular, trusty Goodyear service station. Discount does not have my business anymore. I'm sticking with Goodyear, where my appointment time, tire size, and price, and quality of service are all guaranteed. read more

I've been going here to Discount Tire for a few years now for all our vehicles. All the guys working there have been great. Recently I had a set of new tires installed and after a few days I noticed a couple lug nuts that appeared to be loose, when I went to tighten them up, I quickly realized that they in fact had been cross threaded, and not just loose. It was Sunday, so had to wait until the next day to bring it back. Monday morning comes and I'm promptly greeted by Parker, I explain what happened and he apologized for the mishap, and assured me that they'd take care of it, and walked me through the process. They ordered the part needed for my car and when I called a day or so later Parker, said "yep part is here" I went over picked up and car is being repaired now. I will continue to bring my vehicles to Discount Tire in the future, its difficult to find shops that you can trust and take care of problems if they happen. These guys are top notch though! I understand that mistakes happen occasionally, but these guys took care immediately with minimal downtime and I appreciate the professionalism and customer service. read more

We've been here four times now and had exceptional service every time. The inside is clean, they have coffee and water available, and even the restroom is clean. Nate and Stewart and JT have waited on us and have always been awesome! They are all very knowledgable about the tires they offer, which says a lot bc my husband already knows a lot about tires and gets so frustrated with employees who guess or lie when they are asked questions. These guys seem more concerned about the customer getting a tire that fits their needs than selling the customer something more expensive. They are very friendly and professional, I have no complaints at all. I had originally come here to get one of my tires checked, as it was noticeably deflating. The guy working on my tire let me know that a sensor issue was causing the problem, and recommended that I replace it. I of course did what he suggested, and paid $65 to replace the tire sensor. About a week later, I noticed that my car was veering right significantly while driving, and as I assumed, my tire was nearly flat once again. I brought my car into Discount Tire for the second time and two weeks and had a much more positive experience this time around. Parker was excellent help, and a very friendly employee. When I pull out my apt complex, whether I turn right, left or go straight, there's building or road construction. I picked up a nail in one tire going through one of those areas over the weekend. The tire pressure light came on before I cleared the area. I called my mechanic, Performance Automotive. They told me to go to Discount Tire. I wanted to see how much tires would cost so I googled the car and I read one article after the next saying you have to replace all the tires. I went to Discount Tire expecting to pay at more than $1000 and I moved that much from my savings to checking. Bryce spoke with me via phone and when I arrived he inspected the car. He was very kind and caring. He treated me the way anyone in my shoes would want to be treated and said maybe they could fix the tire. The technician who fixed the tire brought the car around to the door and handed me the keys. They fixed the tire. I didn't have to pay anything. I highly recommend Discount Tire. Ladies, if you're like me, single and don't have man to handle these things for you, go to Discount Tire for your tire needs. Really no one wants to be spending time in a tire store. If you are there, then you likely have had a flat or other pain in the a** problem with your tires. But if you have to be in a tire store, I have had multiple positive experiences with Discount Tire in Hilliard. The managers are usually youngish guys, but very polite and professional every time I have been in there. They move a lot of people through on a busy day and treat everyone great. Today was no exceptions, I was in because my tires were balding and causing issues with my driving experience. : ( I got there right when they opened and was out of there in less than a half hour with 4 new tires. I was presented with several options in tires and pricing, the store is clean, there is free coffee and newspapers. The last time I was here, I was here for about 3 hours for some reason (it was super busy, but c'mon!!??!) The manager knew they screwed up and gave me his card and wrote "pull this car ASAP!!" on the back and said to give it to the manager next time I was in they would put me to the front - that is how you take care of customers!!! So if you have problems with tires, stop in here and they will take care of you. Also they offer free air-checks and rotations. They also take appointments. read more

Whether they like this or not, I always go online to Tirerack.com and check what my tires cost there vs what they would cost at D.T. prior to going into the shop intself and they match Tire Rack costs every time. It's amazing! If they wouldn't, I might not be so happy to give them a glowing review. This past time I was there, they didn't have the tire I inquired about but actually had a cheaper one so that was even better. I have been going here for about 8 years and I have always been pleased with their service no matter on why I come here. Their staff also has been here for awhile. I always get great service from Jason. I went in the other day to check for a slow leak and got a tire rotation. The slow leak turned out to be a bent rim in which they are honest about it. They don't try to push a new tire on you but they recommend buying one. They understand if you do or don't have enough money. i paid nothing for this. Their warranty is legit and I have never had them give me an issue. I had issues at another Discount Tire, but not this one. The staff is cordial and quick. Also it is close enough to food and stores to shop while you wait. Or you can just stay there and drink a free cup of coffee. This place takes care of their returning customers. read more

I have always had great customer service at all the discount tire stores around the Columbus area especially the Hilliard Rome , sawmill rd and grove city locations! Workers are always very nice and polite! I bought my tires from here (sawmill location) and they didn't pressure me into getting the most expensive tires even though I did end up choosing a more expensive brand. I love this location and the Hilliard Fishinger Blvd location. I stopped in today and needed to replace my 3rd performance tire that I purchased from them 3 years ago. I had purchased the extended warranty at that time - and my total for this replacement was a grand total of $33.00. No questions, no dickering. If the tire had been out of stock, they would have put on a loaner for me until the exact tire came in. I arrived at 11:15 this morning, and was on my way by 12:30p.m. Now for the pricey $187.00 performance Goodyear Eagle tires I purchased, I guess they may have an internal problem since I've replaced 3 tires on 2 locations within the last 3 years.....next time I'll try the Yokohamas.... They also make it very simple to prolong the life of your tires - free lifetime balancing and rotation. A+ for their website as well - you can look at the tires, customer reviews and get an idea of pricing by the time you arrive. They have a wide selection of tires and prices - and most are available within a day. if you are replacing all 4, it's definitely a good idea to pre-order or discuss with them before you actually replace, so they can get them in stock for your installation They do not try to sell you 4 tires when you only need one. The time to avoid is opening - that is when they seem the busiest. I've never needed an appointment. They are direct, courteous, and customer service focused - that's all I need to know. =) read more

I believe this is the best place in Hilliard to buy tires! I have a 2013 Camaro SS and only needed rear tires for "winter" driving. I had done my homework so I knew what I wanted. They did have to order them but they had them the next day. A few months later I was back with a screw in the sidewall. I had to be replaced and they replaced it for feee. I also had a friend with a flat tire. They checked the tire and found a screw. The screw was removed and patched for free! She didn't even buy the tires from there.
