I went in November '24 with a slow leak in my tire. These were tires purchased at Discount. i ended up replacing the tires because of mileage and a trip I had coming up. the salesman assured me they would take care of the leak. A week later I was back in with the leak again. i was back 3 times over the next 3 months with no fix. The last time after almost 2 hours waiting I was told I needed a new rim. The tech said they water tested it. I asked if they removed it and reseated the tire. He told me it wasn't necessary. I took the truck to another service place. They removed and reseated the tire. They told me that there was a leak at the balancing weight. I've been driving now for a month with no leak. I'll never go back or recommend the Discount Tire on Rt. 30. read more

Plainfield/Shorewood Hidden gem. Current staff and management have been amazing. Haven't brought them a problem they haven't been able to fix quick, affordable, and I have had no issues since. Once again, the Discount Tire flip flop. I came in to purchase rims and low and behold they find something wrong with a tire (that of course requires a new tire). First it was that my tires are from 2012, I had to tell them I didn't care. Then they find another issue that "store policy" requires a replacement tire. I can't imagine how many people they do the same thing to time and again. They refuse to re-mount my tire as it was when I arrived at the store. Subsequently this only wastes time, what was to take about 45 minutes is now on an hour and a half. I'm leaving with something I don't want and not leaving with what I came in for. I used to be very happy with this location. They took good care of us. However this past year something has changed and the customer service has really sucked. Numerous times I've waited 10 or more minutes to get air in my tires (ones it was 25 min). I also came in for a flat repair and after I went home I noticed one center cap was missing and on another the emblem had fallen off. When I brought the car back they said they would only replace one and the other wasn't their fault! I had to wait almost 2 months for the new center cap to come in...not sure why since I could find them new online and get them within a week. Also, one of the employees behind the desk has had a really bad attitude every time I've come in and delt with her. Very unprofessional! Sad to say but I will find another location to go to in the future unless something changes with their customer service. read more

This is the only place I'll be going for tires now. I waited too long on getting a new one and it was about to pop , called all around my town and either no one had the one I needed in stock or it was 250$ + for just one. Couple of my coworkers told me about this place so I gave them a call, we went to the one of Jefferson first (the one I called and said they have it in stock), got all the way there for them to tell me they never talked to me but the other store has the ones I need in stock. So we drove over there with fingers crossed, and Lawrence was nothing but amazing and helpful with everything. They've always been helpful and up front with me through the years. Staff was engaging and kept me up to date. The waiting area was clean; one guy was out there cleaning the rims. I didn't know tire balance and rotation was free when you got your tires there. Went in expecting to pay and was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to. It eased the pain a felt about a year earlier when I went in for a tire leak that couldn't be repaired and had to drop $650 for 4 new tires as they didn't have a configuration that would work for my AWD. The sales people are very knowledgeable about tires. Getting discounts from them takes some coaxing. For the tire that I purchased, they were not willing to give any discounts. However when the assistant manager Fidel saw it was cheaper online, he matched the price. Customer Service is good and they treat everybody with respect.
