10/10 would recommend anyone to go to this Discount Tire. First off, after shopping around, Discount Tire had the best price for the exact wheel and tire combo I was looking for. Their price match and inventory availability made purchasing through Discount Tire a no brainer. What really sets this location apart is the team there, and specifically Diego Sr. I was looking for a specific set-up, and ideally to be installed before a trip in a few days. Diego not only found the wheels and tires locally, but was able to get them to the shop in a matter of hours, where all online quotes were a minimum of a week. He not only treated me with respect and honesty, as I waited for the work to be done on my vehicle I saw him do the same with everyone who walked in the door. There was an elderly gentleman in the waiting area whose phone had died. Diego pulled out his own cell phone and helped this gentleman connect with his wife, and charged the man's phone while he waited. As a delivery driver having quick service is imperative, I take tire orders from discount tire and drop them off at their other locations across town. Dylan originally took the order number and then disappeared for over 15 minutes while I waited outside near my car. Another rep approached me asking if I needed help, I explained my situation he said he would go check on it then proceeded to go inside and start helping another customer with a tire sale. I went back inside and spoke to Alexander who is the only employee who actually knows how to run the place. He was multitasking multiple issues including mine and found the tires within minutes. Folks at the Discount Tire are community heroes. I had an 8am appointment for a tire rotation/balance and arrived about 10 minutes early. Within those 10 minutes, I watched a handful of cars pull into the lot with flat or punctured tires and stressed out owners. Right at 8am, 4 team members came out at once to help each customer. The staff were professional and I didn't hear anyone being pushy or trying to upsell. I appreciate the team's sense of urgency to assist existing customers as more started to roll in this morning. I'm sure they consistently have waves of customers come in throughout the day. My car was in/out within 20 minutes. Second review of this Discount Tires as they have continuously provided wonderful service through the years. They are always very busy and takes forever to get through when calling, but I think all of the locations are busy. I love that they provide free air for tires. I always buy my tires from here and always get their warranty. If a tire with warranty is not fixable, then the tire will be replaced for no charge, although you would need to buy additional warranty on that new tire ($20 ish dollars per tire). They also fix tires if there's a nail or screw for no charge for their customers. read more

Currently waiting for my car. I made an appt online for my winter tires to be put on... at 4PM. It's past 7PM. "Skip the line" is a bit of a stretch. People are literally yelling at the manager because they've been here for 7+ hours. I think they need to better gauge how many walk ins they accept, because it's a little insane they put people through this. Like, this is something that is totally within their control. The manager claimed they're doing "12 cars an hour." Try 2 cars an hour. First time at this location, I can already tell you, I will not be back. read more

They also own mistakes - on one of my visits they had made a mistake. When I came back they inspected and fixed it in under 15 minutes. If you have a Subaru, whatever you do, do NOT go to Discount Tire. Twice they have over-torqued the lugs on my wheels during seasonal swap-outs, and twice they have broken studs on my wheels trying to get off the over-torqued lugs. They send you to Brakes Plus for a free stud replacement. However, this time, after waiting an hour and a half there, the guys told me that the Discount Tire guys also lost my wheel lock tool. Of course, Subaru doesn't have a universal tool I'm writing this review from the Subaru dealer, where they charged me over $100 to replace the lugs. All this in addition to losing precious DAYS of life waiting for service. Do yourself a favor and get your tire swap-outs done elsewhere. And probably just get a Toyota while you're at it. read more

when by to have a rotation and let them know I rotate my spare in and noticed the wheel weights had come off. realistically just needed the balancing done. waited a hour for them to finish. got about a mile down the road and problem were even worse. stopped at big o they had an opening. found that discount never installed new tire pressure sensor that I payed for and they wouldn't program because they didn't put a sensor back in the tire. scammers. also every tire was out of balance. they didn't do there job. save time and money and take your business somewhere else. I made an appt for a winter tire changeover, knowing that "walking in" would not be fast or efficient. I was told that the wait would be about 45 minutes. Sounded reasonable. After over two hours, I asked about the progress. Despite having an appt, I watched as other customers walked in and left with their vehicles while I still waited. I overheard store staff sharing with other customers that appointments were given priority. Appointments aren't given priority when you are running behind, taking calls instead of in person customers and offering free air checks to drive up customers who request the free service. Getting ever more curious as to what was taking so long, I watched my car sit quietly in the bay and could see no active movement around it. Asking about it, I was told that the gentleman who was working on my car was just about to wrap up. Another 45 minutes passed as I watched him. He was incredibly slow, needed several consults with other staff and returned to me a bag of lug nuts and value stems. He "had trouble" was the message I was given. After almost 3 hours, I left with the car. This was only a winter tire changeover. Routine and easy - not a three hour job. This experience would have been less frustrating had the Discount Tire staff checked in with me and offered updates on the challenges of changing my tires from my summer set to my winter set. Process management along with appointment flow and time management can be significantly improved here. I will return to Discount Tire, but I will return to my normal location, not this one. I've always had great service in their stores, but this review is about their online chat support. Something about their website was not allowing me to place an order for tires today. I reluctantly contacted chat support (reluctant because chat support at places is often a VERY frustrating experience), and the person who responded (Romeo P.) was by far the most helpful person I've ever chatted with! Actually read what my issue was, and asked questions relevant to that (vs following a script). Insisted he stay with me while I tried several things he suggested. When they didn't work, he just placed the order for me himself, and contacted my local store to set up my appointment for installation. Store is nice but the work is of extremely low quality. The first visit I purchased a brand new set of blizzak snow tires from the shop. When I got the truck back, the TPMS light was on. I raised this to an associate who assured me it'd resolve itself after ~50 miles. It did not and I had to make another trip back to the shop to resolve this. My second visit was to swap my snow tires out for summer tires. I had both sets of tires marked (driver's side front, passenger side rear, etc). The tires were not put in the correct location. The tech also broke my OEM tpms and replaced it with an aftermarket one. I once again left with the TPMS light on after being reassured it'd resolve itself. It did not after ~200 miles. I had to return to the store again to have the tires rotated to the correct position and they AGAIN were put in the wrong spots. I had to return a third time to finally resolve it. They simply do not pay attention to detail here. read more

The guy who put air in my tire informed me that I would need a new tire and said I would probably get in pretty fast as a walk in since they weren't very busy. Went inside and the guy at the counter said I had about a 6 hour wait or I could make an appointment for Wednedsay. I told him I would just go to a difernet Discount Tire and was told that all Discount TIres are the same. Needless ot say I wen tot he one on 1160 S. Chambers and got in and out within 30 minutes. All I have to say is "WOW"! The pandemic has really made getting your tires changed such a better experience. I booked an appointment online at 8 am to swap out my winter tires (I have 2 sets of wheels). This is a free service and normally I have to wait HOURS at the store to get this done. However, this experience was so much better. I showed up right when they opened, I drove into the garage, and they changed my tires with me in the car in UNDER 10 MINUTES! After the pandemic is over, I honestly hope nothing changes. The service was also excellent! Side note: I think it also really helps to book an appointment for when they open at 8 am. read more
