I was holding off writing a review until another unpleasant experience today, after which I simply can't imagine giving this store any more of my money. March 2024 - Ordered a set of tires and had them installed on loose wheels brought in. Upon installation at home, I found that one of the rear tires was installed backwards. Had to make another trip back to the store to correct this. Dec 2024 - Ordered a set of snow tires through the website, made an appointment, etc. After some time, I was told that they could not get the exact tires I ordered, and was up-sold to another brand at about $150 more total. At the store, the salesperson up-charged me another $20 by adding/removing tire certificates in the up-sell process, and it took another salesperson to look at the transaction to convince them of the issue. These tires were installed on a loose set of wheels I brought in, and I later found that they are terribly out of balance, which will require another trip back to fix. The date code on the "new" tires I was sold was 2020, sold in Dec 2024. If you love taking multiple trips back and forth to the tire shop, go ahead and use this store. read more

I have been a customer for 52 years. All my kids and family go there. Over 20 cars!!! I am done! Had a flat, aired it up and drove to discount. Tire is on the back. They will NOT install a NEW tire unless they put it on the back. The front does the brakes AND steering! Safety and efficiency does not count there. I am so disappointed! I'd like to clear up some very crappy comments. I just called discount tire less than an hour ago needing four new tires for my work truck, I was told to come on down as there is nobody in line. I have new tires on my truck in less than 45 minutes and everybody at this location was extremely helpful, there was a newer guy up front that was awesome, he helped me through the whole process, and I feel horrible that I forgot his name! Also, Juan is extremely helpful and professional! This visit was so hasslefree. I was pretty shocked when I got told that my truck was done already, I had barely finished writing up an estimate for a customer and my truck was done. A bit of a love/hate thing with this store. If you want to buy tires and have them installed, sure, they are good at that. Other things, not so much. Recently took an older Jaguar in to have the TPMS fixed - after calling first to make sure they could work on the car before driving it down from Idaho Springs. Confusion ensued as to whether or not the car even had tpms - it does - and then they just gave up, told me my tires were too old and they wouldn't work on it. 2 hours later Les Schwab had me all fixed up for a reasonable charge. These folks always take care of me. Yeah, there's the whole sales gimmick when you get tires but what do you expect? Just doing their job. They are always very polite and as quick as they can be. I usually go about once a month just to have my tires aired up and that's generally a quick experience. They have customer service down, and that's no little thing nowadays. read more

Awful place, totally incompetent clerks but the technicians seem ok. Agree with Leigh that buying and scheduling online makes little difference. Bought tires online and scheduled appointment. Showed up two days prior to the appointment as I had time. They were very busy at 4 pm and could not take the car that day - understandable. Confirmed with the clerk that all was ready for the appointment set two days ahead with his assurance that he had the tires and we were all set. Show up early for the appointment and check in online as well only to have to wait in a very, very slow line which is the norm for this location. When I finally get to the clerk, not the same one as before, am told that they don't have the tires and they will not arrive for another 5 days! Aaaargh. Zero confidence that they will get it right when I go back in 2 weeks. They really need to do the 'take a ticket' method that even the DMV figured out, this would make waiting better at least compared to the non-moving line. Also have a desk for appointment check-ins that prioritizes them over walk-ins otherwise the appointment means nothing. And they need to do something about their parking lot as it is usually past full leaving customers little options. I know it is rough to work in a place that is extremely busy and understaffed but this place is ridiculously bad at treating customers properly. Am giving this place a one star rating as zero was not an option. read more

This was not the best experience, I think they definitely need a full time receptionist because the phones ring nonstop. I think the price was fair but they either need more people or another closer location because trying to talk to someone is a long wait. I was told to be there at 7:45 for my apt and tried to go inside but the door was locked bc they don't open till 8 and everyone inside looked at me like I was crazy. One lady stood out there and they took their time to open the door and it was 27 degrees outside. Also feeding inside the building, why have the AC in and fans going when it's so cold, idk. So..... Colorado weather has been a bit schizophrenic recently. We're anticipating snow tomorrow and highs in the mid 20s while enjoying a mild 70 degree weather today. Man, crazy. Total disclosure: didn't make an appt ahead of time this fall. Two weeks ago, the earliest online appt available was in early December. So, I decided I'd brave it on the "walk ins welcome" premise. Arrived at 7:45 am. Way too late as there had to be at least 40 people already in line. Whoa. No, I'm not kidding. I snapped a few pics for evidence, lol. After contemplating whether or not to leave and "try again" next weekend (spoiler alert: don't do it!), I decided to stay the course. 3 hours later I approached the sacred red counter. Despite having an ENTIRE store FULL of folks trying to take care of business on an early Saturday morning and watching every detail of how they spoke with and interacted with each and every customer, the small but mighty team of three truly kicked ass: smiles, great attitude, and super friendly. Wow. These guys were honest too: "Ma'am, you're 42nd in line, and honestly, it's going to be between 7-8 pm tonight before you're ready. We'll call you. Is that ok?" Yes. It's fabulous, more than ok. Particularly since they close at 5 pm. And guess what, Brian called at 7:10 pm, right after I rec'd the text message. When I walked in, he and everyone else were just as happy and cheerful as they had been 12 hours earlier. This crew has INCREDIBLE service. TL;DR: Basically couldn't be better. Winter tire to all season tire swap. The usual. But what was maybe unusual about my request was that I had different wheels that I wanted to put into my all seasons. So we had to put those into the all season tires and then put that combination on the car, in place of the winter tires and its wheels. No problem for them, though! They gladly did just that! I scheduled an appointment in advance. Upon arrival, they accepted me in and told me it would be a bit before they'd start on my vehicle. That was totally fine. Once they asked me to move my vehicle, they got right to work! After waiting for an additional bit, they were done! The new and shiny wheels were on my car and they were loading up my old winter tires and wheels. Super friendly service in asking what I wanted, what they needed from me, and even asked about things that I most certainly did not know about in a friendly manner, too! Sent my daughter to have her tires rotated. The salesman at the counter tried to get her to buy new tires, she said no. Also, the shop lost the lug nut set that was included with the wheel lock key. When I caalled about the lost lug nuts, they ignored my concern and the salesman who was the same guy my daughter dealt with, tried to talk me into new tires and wiper blades. The wiper blades are less than a month old and the tires are rated for 85,000. I really doubt how much these people know and are only trying to sell something when a customer comes in for what should be a free service included with the last set of tires. I have had this same kind of high pressure from 2 different Discount Tire stores. They claim that they don't work on a commission, but it sure feels like they do. Salespeople must have to meet a quota. I have 6 cars and will not buy from here again. BTW - If someone from Discount Tire reads this, don't ask me to fill out a form and send it back. read more

I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment. They told me my car would be done in 45 minutes to one hour. My car sat for 95 minutes after my appointment. After I asked about my car, they pulled it in and told me it would be 15 minutes. It was 25 minutes later when my car was done. They refunded 100 dollars. This is the worst I have ever been treated by discount tire. I am deeply disappointed that my time has so little value. read more

I ran over a nail. The tire could not be repaired. So I had to get a new tire. Approximately 3 weeks after the tire was placed on my husband noticed it was placed on backwards...the tire was marked "inside" but it was facing to the outside. Clearly a problem. I made an appointment for 445. It is a 1 tire flip around issue...sounds simple....it took over an hour and 45 minutes for them to provide service to correct their mistake. I've been getting tires from Discount Tire for over a decade. It's obvious why I'm so loyal, great customer service, competitive prices and quick service. They are very upfront with what you actually need. I came to this location for winter tires for my new ride that came with high performance summer tires, not a safe configuration for Denver winters. Winter tires are a small price to pay for well being and peace of mind, considering the cost of a brand new car. Cruz was the one helping me and he was very professional and to the point. He explained my options and made a suggestion for the car and my needs. They quoted an hour for the swap and it was on point. Location is spacious with ample sitting for waiting customers. Magazines offer some entertainment, but one lacking thing is WiFi. Come on Discount Tire management, let's get current. Other than that, nice clean location with sparkling clean restrooms. The guys I've had help me over the years have always been helpful and seemed interested in getting me the tire setup I want. I have purchased everything from hardcore kevlar reinforced oversized offroad trail tires, to regular passenger tires, to winter tires, and road high-performance tires. This last time around they even made sure the machinery taking tires off the rim had brand new Teflon guards on so to not scratch my wheels. Pre-story, a tire competitor told me that my tires did not have a mileage warranty so I decided to ask Discount Tires if it was true. Turns out I did have a mileage warranty and these guys hooked me up. Got my tires ordered and set me up with an appointment. I won't bash the other tire place but Discount Tires didn't lie to me. Getting back. If this is how these guys operate on a daily basis it says a lot. Honesty and integrity still have meaning with some people. I highly recommend these guys if you need new tires. These guys are fast. But good. Knowledgeable and very patient. I've been back here alone or just as a tag along person. I don't mind either way. Why? Because their space is bright and clean. They have you in and out in no time-that is if you have an appointment. I have witnessed a few walk in customers with about a three hour wait. You can hear them explain what type of tire your car needs, when you need to go back for the free rotation . That's included in every tire purchase from them ; And how long your wait is going to be. I don't even know where to begin--there's so much bad here. Started when I took a flat tire in to be repaired the evening before Thanksgiving. The guy I left it with said he "had it in the system" (so I didn't get a receipt), and it would be ready Friday. Since I was already scheduled to bring in a different vehicle that Saturday, I told him I'd pick it up then. Fast forward to Saturday--I bring in my SUV to have the front two tires replaced, as well as the TPMS modules. And I ask the same guy I left the flat tire with what the status was with the tire. He said he'd check on it and let me know. So--THREE HOURS LATER, they were finally done with my SUV tire swap. Except, they managed to somehow run down the battery on the vehicle, to the point where they said they couldn't even jump start it. WTF? The battery had been fine up to this point. So now, I can't even drive my SUV home--had to Uber. And just to make matters worse, the guy I asked about my other car's tire? He was long gone (since it was, at this point, 2 hours past closing time). The guy I checked out with said he'd check into it, and call me Monday. Which--surprise!--he never did. So I contacted a regional Customer Service rep., who assured me he'd send a priority email to the manager of that facility. Still waiting to hear from him...or anyone. Oh--and they don't answer their phone there. At all. And the SUV that I had to leave in their parking lot overnight (because they couldn't even jump-start it)? The guys did my seasonal changeover today....they are always so busy and customers often have to wait, even if they have an appointment...but the level of service--which is EXCELLENT--takes time...each customer is taken care of without rushing...that's just how it goes! Unfortunately, there's always that person who thinks they are special and more important than everyone else...well this guy...a male "Karen"...was there today when I picked up my vehicle and what a jackass! He was so rude and immediately started asking to see the manager and wanted a discount because he had to wait. Seth, salesperson 865 is the unlucky guy who got to deal with this jerk...he was the consummate professional and took care of the situation without missing a beat! Have bought many sets of tires over the years at discount tires. Went to this location for my rotation. Tires were not inflated properly, which I asked to be checked while I waited. Had I not asked for my wheel lock back, I would not have gotten it. Poor service quality. Given where I love I now need to drive an hour round trip to have the tires inflated properly and check the work they did. Horrible experience. Select another location. read more
