After having a major issue yesterday day at Mavis Tires I decided to come here. I explained what had happened over at Mavis and stated I needed 4 full size tires for my truck. The manager listened and stated he would do everything he could to set me up with tires and as little delays as possible. I came back today an hour early from my appointment time and they put my truck right in! In less than 2.5 hours my truck is off the rack and getting an alignment. On top they have not tried to sell me a bunch of bs. I will be back. And have my other vehicles brought here too. Good job guys. read more

Do not go to this pep boys ever this is the worst store in Georgia, first of all I came to this location for a water leak and they told me it wasnt my water pump, but my heater hose that was leaking and so they came to me with a paper statement saying they will charge me $825.00. The very next day my vehicle overheated and started smoking this had never happened to me before I came to pep boys. So I call them to tell them that they was supposed to fix my vehicle and now I'm faced with a more difficult problem. i was cheated out of my money and I still have the same problem please don't trust these people with you baby because I'm still paying a mechanic to look at my vehicle because of pep boys. After a road trip, my 2018 car with 53,000 miles was making a high pitched hum, I assumed it was rear tires because they were a little worn. We got a flat tire less than 2 miles from this location on a Sunday. Had to change to the spare tire on the side of 316. We don't live near by so we knew we couldn't drive on the spare all the way home. We stopped at this location and got our tire patched and they put it back on the car and the spare back in the trunk. We were glad we didn't have to buy an entire new tire. Very friendly and helpful. Not a good first impression at all! I called before I came to see if someone would be able to give me a second opinion on whats wrong with my car and I was told they'd take a look. I pull into the parking lot and it was like a ghost town. Walk into the store and I'm literally the only person in there. I go up to the counter where I see two employees talking. When they saw me they paused their conversation for a second so I thought they were expecting to address me, as I proceeded to explain that I called a few minutes prior one of them (the one behind the counter in the pic) rudely cut me off and had me hold on as they continued their discussion. Finally as I decided to start walking off and take some handy dandy yelp pics he decided to speak. He asked me what was going on with it and offered for a tech to drive it, not put it on the lift as I originally was told they'd do. They said they'd take about 5 min so their "star tech" can put a tire on another car so I said ok and proceeded to the empty waiting room with a view of the bay area. As you can see there's just two or three cars in there and (as other reviewers noted) the techs standing around chatting. 20 minutes later I see the "star tech" walk out of the bay and begin to drive the car like a nascar driver in the parking lot in circles. Please explain to me how that's suppose to tell anyone what's wrong. I've had absurd experiences before but this has to take the cake. read more

Told me that because they are high customer traffic, they do not repairs tires but they replace the whole when I only just have a small damage on my tire because they want to make more money! This store is a only about making more money and doesn't think about what the customer really need! I guess my business is too small for you guys! And you won't have my business then. Don't even bother considering this place. I've been here 2 or 3 times and it's always laughably terrible. One time I came here for an oil change; they asked me if I was going to stay, or get a ride somewhere and pick it up later. I said that I was just going to sit in the customer wait area, and they were like, "ok cool then we'll just come tell you when the car is done". Ok, yay. I'm sitting in there for 2 HOURS and I then say something to someone because oil changes don't take that long, usually. He was like "oh we tried to call your phone and tell you". I never answer calls from unknown numbers and I had received that call an HOUR AGO. SERIOUSLY? I sat in there two hours and no one said anything to me????? I just went in there today at 2. I asked for an oil change and then was told it was super busy and like a 4-5 hour wait. Ok, I understand that. He then says I can make an appointment at 6 if I'd like. Yay awesome, I reallllly need this oil change and it's my only day to do it. I'm on my day off and I want to go do stuff, but need to be back at the place at 6. I come back at 5:55, and the guy (different guy) says "can I help you?" And I'm happy to tell him I have an appointment at 6 for an oil change. I get a confused stare. He's like "uhhhh, there's no way I can do that. I have so many others I'm working on. I don't even have a 6 o'clock appointment. I then say I was just here at 2 and someone made me an appointment for 6. He then says "we'll I don't know why he'd do that". Are you kidding me? I Recommend: I had a great experience with this location. I dealt with Brandon & Lewis mostly while my car was being serviced. Mr. Noble was very knowledgeable and attentive when I came to pick up my vehicle. All of them were professional and let me know exactly what was going on. Unfortunately, my vehicle was there due to buying a used SUV 7 mos ago and it had to be towed due to over heating. I'm grateful for the warranty however, there were other items that needed to be repaired, so they gave me my options. I appreciate them and will be using them in the future. So.....Where to start. I had an appt. at 10:30am for tire installation. I found they had a good deal online for Cyber Monday. A potential $50 savings over other retailers. So not worth it. I called and verified the details the day before. I get there and they say, "We are super busy. It is first come first serve. It will be 3-4 hours before we can fit you in." He wasn't kidding. So in the waiting area there are 6 of us. Two had been waiting since 8:00am and their cars were in the bays waiting to be worked on. There were 3-4 workers in the bays just hanging out on their phones. Two of the other customers decided to leave due to inactivity. Then a couple of hours into my wait, I discover that the 5th person is actually an employee hanging out watching a movie on her phone. So let's skip to 3-4 hours later....I get my tires and pay. The apathetic Service Rep, who has never made eye contact since my arrival, has put the wrong info on my paperwork and I have to return to fix it if I ever need to return (NOT LIKELY) for any warranty work. So now I am off to my regular mechanic for new shocks later the same day. He tells me the the Pep Boys tech put the balancing weights on the outside of my beautiful custom chrome wheels. Yep. Sure enough each wheel has 3-5 huge balancing weights that should have been put on the inside of the wheels. So I say to all who have read this deep into my comments, stay away from this Pep Boys. I think they purposely make your experience unpleasant to train you never to return. That is the hallmark of any lazy person. They always do everything they can to make my bill as low as possible. Frequently short on mechanics who are qualified to accomplish repairs. I went to a Pep Boys a few months ago; and there were no mechanics on site who were qualified to repair my vehicle. I recently scheduled an appointment at another Pep Boys Center. When I arrived for my appointment, I was again told that there were no mechanics on site to repair my vehicle. Thus, I went back to the original Pep Boys Center; and after several months, they still alleged that they did not have any mechanics on site who were qualified to repair my vehicle. After these recent experiences, I will never do business with Pep Boys in the future. read more

Yesterday, I realized I had a flat tire on my new car. A friend told me that Pep Boys will put air in a tire for free, so I drove my car there yesterday. It was freezing and pouring rain, but the guys inside immediately told me to drive my car around to the bay area, and filled it up! And my friend was right-no charge! But, in filling the tire, the guys realized there was a nail stuck in it, and told me they could repair the tire. I didn't have time to wait, but figured I would try to make an appointment for the next day. Well, I forgot to call and decided to just stop over the next morning to see if they had time to fix my tire. I walked in and they immediately took my car back, fixed the tire in about 15 minutes. The mechanic also suggested I not use my super heavy and bulky, yet stylish (if you ask me) key ring on the ignition otherwise he'd be seeing me back for an ignition replacement. Thieves. They quoted me just under $500 to change a tie rod and do the alignment. The part itself they said was $115. They're actually $80 from the dealership and some after market only cost $30. They also tried to charge close to $250 for the labor to change an outside tie rod (that's less than an hour of work). My diamond coverage extended warranty wouldn't even cover the amount they wanted to charge for the part or labor: each was about double their allowable max. When I mentioned a warranty company the one guy started whispering to the other about making some kind of change. I walked out and went to a reputable shop who told me they could do the same work for $240. After that shop's diagnostics they told me there wasn't even anything wrong with the tie rod and all I needed was an $85 alignment.... big difference from $500. This might be a decent place to pick up some parts (order online first for a discount). They even screwed that up the last time I was there though and I had to go to Snellville to get a part. Some Pepboys are decent. Steer clear of this service department's scams read more

I was a new customer to pepboys and so in order to find out about their car service deals I checked out their website online conveniently they allow you to schedule specifically when where and why you want your car serviced along with all your car's information such as the make model and year I was actually quite impressed so I joined their free membership set a date and time for the next day after work now here's the annoying part I arrived at the location 30 minutes before my set time and told them that I had an appointment set for 6 o'clock the pep boys employee was very rude he told me that he had to service a car before me first and that it would be an hour wait and then he proceeded to ask me what it was I need service and I told them I'm a member so my information should be on my appointment already. So he goes pulls up my information and all he can find is my name and my appointment time which of course they cannot honor. What's the point of making an appointment with a set time if you can't even keep it for me. That's the whol point of an appointment no? I've not only wasted my time coming here i wasted my time even becoming a member. it was an utter waste of time. NEVER GOING BACK read more

I have 3 different vehicles all of which have been serviced by the same pep boys location at West pike street in lawrenceville georgia. For the most part their service has been up to par in regards of servicing my vehicles. Hence the fact I've brought them back. Howeve, the last time I've brought my Mercedes to this location for a replacement of a serpentine belt. They replaced it. Within a month it popped off. Wierd because it didn't pop off the first time it was just time to replace it. None the less I called and they replaced it under the 3 year warranty. 2 months later it popped off again. I called yet again had it towed up there yet again and four days later it was replaced and I picked it up. On the drive home the vehicle ran hot,check engine light came on multiple indicators popped up on the dash board. I had to return back to work as MOST of us do, so I had my father call to get the vehicle looked at (a senior citizen and a war vetern). My father immediately called me back and told me the individual named Tyler with no last name began to tell him bring it back we won't drop you off we will get it looked at we dont have any techs avaliable for at least and hour and a half and we don't know the price in what my father felt was an absurdly disrespectful manner. So when he arrived I asked to speak to Tyler. Which I then was reluctant to tell me more or less the same. We can't get to it now I already to you that and if you have a problem with that your mire than welcome to come see me etc..  whoa wait! Tyler just disrespected my father over the phone and in person and I feel as though he just threatened me over the phone. Over a car? Not to mention Tyler hung up with no resolve. My father never asked for a ride home (my father and i both live within 3 miles of this loaction. Not to mention have an additionl 5 OTHER vehicles to drive. I'm writing this because at this moment my vehicle that only needed a serpentine has caused me to miss 3 days of work. Multiple headaches and now put my elderly father in a very uncomfortable situation.I regret to inform you that after this whole debacle I've yet to been able to reach a supervisor or any form of management. So to my last attempt I will write this to the corporate office, fix the vehicle at another service location and write as many letters it takes to tell everyone I know my expierence. read more

The people are nice, but I walked in solely to get my tires balanced at 1:30 and am just now leaving at 3. Taking an hour and a half to balance four tires on a day that isn't too busy (open bays and techs standing around) seems a little over the top. read more

Don't bring your car here for service. They are really bad. Front desk guys are nice but they play dumb when you bring up the shoddy service. For the 2nd time in a row they did not rotate my tires during an oil change. They tell you its free and put it on your paperwork like they did it. I know what they're doing. They want to sell me another set as soon as possible. I spent over $400 on the tires which I purchased at the same location.
