This store has a great staff that is very helpful. I accidentally purchased the wrong size tires & Discount replaced them with the appropriate size at no charge. They also price match which is pretty hard to do because Discount is the lowest all around. read more

In my opinion, the Discount Tire shop on Culebra is the best place for tires in all San Antonio. I got a very good price for a set of pricy Michelin tires, including mounting, warranty, and damage protection. Protection that was very handy recently when one of my tires picked up a nasty screw. I called them up, got a quick appointment, and was in and out in about 30 minutes (didn't even seem that long). Good staff too. read more

What a professional group of individuals! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and as they were working with other customers ensured us they would be with us in a moment. Adriel was my service advisor, went out to my car and looked it over, they got us right in and discovered the problem. I was shocked they said no charge to repair the problem and check the rest of the tires(never been to discount tire before). And didn't make us wait or anything. Great place, reasonable prices(I started looking after). They offer bottled water and coffee while you wait, for my future tire needs I will most definitely be utilizing their services. read more

Phenomenal group working here. Ended up needing to go to a different store for a flat tire replacement due to a warranty and as a result I had to cancel my order at this store. I have to say this place was awesome. Neil and Adriel were super helpful! From the moment I arrived at the store, to request a quote, to the moment I paid, the customer service was outstanding. Neil was great and I noticed his awesome attitude to help me, and all the customers who showed up to the store. Neil was able to find me the best deal on some high quality tires (I compared with 3 other merchants). Additionally, he was able to provide me additional rebates available. I saved several hundreds on my purchase. Adriel expedited my request big time, he provided me status updates and got my car in and out very quick. They provided me a great military discount, thanked me for my service, and let me know that if I am gone and my family ran into any vehicle problems, they will be available to support. I have always gone to discount tire for all my tire needs and today just proved to me why I always come back. I got to this location at 7:35 and they open at 8. At 8:46 they opened doors and the guys came out to the cars that were already waiting!! It is now 8:02am and I am already leaving! They are so fast and have great service! read more

Pro's: Professional service. Employees are courteous and work fast. Con's: It's all about Sales. My visit: Went to get a simple flat repaired. Tire had a nail. Drove out with a pair of new tires . Total cost with extras, $300. In the initial inspection everything passed on all tires. (My vehicle only has 20k miles. Bought it used 4 months ago.) When the flat tire was being worked on the salesman noticed a previous patch that according to him was done incorrectly. He said that patch could cause a blow out & refused to continue the repair. He offered to install the spare and order another tire. Well, the new tire would take 3 days to arrive. He offered another name brand tire that was priced $5 higher. So I went with that instead. He suggested always buying tires in pairs cuz they wear out evenly. So I took his advice & bought 2. At the end of it all, I'm not sure if I was taken or not. Sam's Club or Costco have always been my choice for tire repair, advise & purchase. I'm thinking I should've stuck with my usual choice. read more

So my Monday morning started off not so good. On my way to work I got a screw stuck in my front driver side tire. My husband used to work for Discount Tire so he recommended me to go there because they fix flats for FREE (if fixable). I got to work and set up an appointment. Took my car in to get fix (mind you I was a good 5 minutes late with having an appointment), CESAR the salesman quickly asked what I was there for, I explained. Then he took me outside and did a walk around my car, he explained to me that it should be fixed, mentioned that if it couldn't be fixed he would help me to get a new tire. Filled out paperwork. Told me it would be about 30-45 minutes. GREAT! 20 minutes pass and bam they called my name and told me it was fixed. Cesar's tire tech, walked me around my car explained everything to me again and mentioned that if I had any problems or it doesn't feel right for me to take my car to ANY Discount Tire and they would get it fixed in no time. Would I recommend this location? YES! I'm highly satisfied with the work they did and in the time frame they gave me. Did they try to sale me anything? NO! They did inform me that I should look into getting new tires within the next 6 months but they were NOT pushy to try and sale me anything. I went in for one reason and they respected that. First time i went in, I waited one and a half hours while other people walked in after me and obtained servicing before I did. (BTW i even had an appointment and still waited) 2nd time i went in, I waited for an hour with zero done to my vehicle. It wouldn't have been so bad, but both times I went in for a rotation and balance that was paid for at the time of purchase. 2 out of 4 bays were empty and enough personnel to work on 10 cars, but an hour later i walked out with nothing done. They go out of the way to sell you tires, but when it comes to maintaining them they run away. If you aren't buying new tires, you just sit there, and sit, and sit, and sit. I will no longer go back to them due to the poor service and poor tires I purchased that they swore would help in wet weather. I still slip and slide even with the new tires. What a waste of money. I'm out! Will shop around next time to see who actually cares about their customers. read more
