Absolutely superb. Beyond expected. Recommended by a friend -- and Discount Tires superseded expectations. I had every intention of using Costco's Michelin sale to replace my minivan tires. Friend suggested checking Discount out. Discount outperformed in literally every aspect. 1. Online. Prompt, excellent, helpful service -- in spite of buggy computer. 2. And guess what -- they did price matching! 3. The shop. Clean, friendly, informed, helpful, considerate -- absolutely superb -- staff. Again, in spite of recent buggy computer upgrade. 4. I got my starter fixed at Mavis and it went well. Decently priced and quickly executed. I had to go back because a screw went missing and a piece was loose. Jeremy and Justin fixed it really quick and was cool to work with. If something happens to your car, I'd highly suggest giving Mavis a chance. read more

ram over a two-inch bolt and blew my tire forgot I had insurance on my tire which is 250each went there thinking I will be spending about 300$ and walked out paying about 70 they even replaced the other tire due to uneven tread wear due to an unknown screw that was implanted in my tire. thank you for letting me know what tire insurance is on these tires. Had new tires put on at a discount tire shop, they stripped a lug nut and stud on front wheel of my Subaru. Discount tire contracts with Merlin in Loves Park to fix their quality rejects. Took Subaru to Merlin's Complete Auto Care, they replaced the stripped stud and reinstalled stripped out lug nut causing another wheel stud to be stripped out. The tech had to have realize this because the lug not could not be torqued properly. Very poor quality. read more

I was shocked to find out that they don't offer tire alignment when you buy a new set of tires. Not sure if that's common place around here but this is standard when buying a new set of tires. If I would've known that they don't offer it, I would've gotten tires elsewhere. Sad part is they didn't even mention it. Only found out after I looked at the bill and asked. Now I have to shell out an extra hundred dollars to get an alignment somewhere else. FYI Walmart auto center doesn't do it either. Crazy. read more

I had a not one but two screws in my tire-I went on line and saw they had an opening the next day at 2:00 p.m. I filled in my information and went the next day. they patched the tire and I was out of there within the hour. 7 or 8 months ago, my son, who is high functioning autistic, wanted to independently handle a nail in his tire. He went in and was told all 4 tires on a 2 year old Honda with approximately 13,000 miles on the tires (because of snow tire use) had to be replaced to avoid damaging the all wheel drive system. He said no, as the tread was barely worn. The nail also, to my eye, was nowhere near a sidewall to begin with. My complaint asking for tread depth measurements that led them to conclude he needed $900 of tires was met with no meaningful follow up. This place used to be fantastic, but now everything is an upsell. When he went in recently to have snow tires swapped over, they tried to talk him into a different tire than the ones they sold him eight months ago. These guys should really be ashamed of themselves and just go away. read more

When I dropped my car off the price was $128. When I paid it was $164. They said I was not quoted with installation. Was I supposed to install it myself. Firestone would have charged me $148 installation included. I picked it up and the tire pressure light was still on. Asked the 3 guys at the counter if it just takes a while to turn off and 1 guy told me yes and another said well maybe there is a reset switch. You would think the customer would not have to be the one to figure it out. Still not off. The wheel that the tire was put on is absolutely filthy too. Plus there was a jimmy johns wrapper sitting in the driver seat. I mean did they take it to jimmy johns or did they just eat the sandwich in my car. Not really sure. read more

Made it there by12:15 with my wife who took a half day off from work to spend some time together. At 1:15 they still had not gotten to my car. I told the man at the desk we needed to go soon. He spoke to a manager and came back and said they would get to the car in 5 minutes. After a 15 minute wait we decided to leave. Normally, good service but today they dropped the ball. The Machnesney Park Discount Tire was able to get winter tires for my Fiesta ST when none of the other retailers in the area could. (I waited longer than I should have, my bad.) I was able to get the car in the day after the tires came in and was in and out in about an hour despite it being a rather busy morning. I'll definitely be coming back. read more
