Terrible experience. I show up to fix a tire on my Tesla model 3. The front desk technician told me the tire could not be fixed. I understood and asked for a quote on a new tire, which I received and immediately proceeded to order and pay. The technicial was pushy trying to sell my tire protection for $59.99/tire (despite me declining it twice!). In the morning the Tesla mobile service tech told me the tires on my car were half way through their wear and tear and that I should get ~10K more miles on the other 3 tires. The Tesla tech also told me to be careful when going to Discount Tires as they are notorious to tell clients that your tires are very bad and need replacing before they technically need to be changed. Surprise surprise, this is what happened. I advised him I would NOT order other tires. Again, pushy! Just beware, horrible experience and terribly pushy sales people. And at the end of it, after buying a brand new tire, they did not even add the correct pressure on my tire. It should have 45 PSI and instead I left there with 40 PSI!!! After $350 later and 1 brand new tire, these technicians can't even add the proper pressure??!! I would never go to this location or Discount Tire again. read more

I have been to this Discount Tire location a couple times previously for tire rotations and balance. I recently stopped in to have all 4 tires replaced. I would recommend scheduling an appointment on their website for anything you have done from them. They are required to get you right in on the next bay opening no matter how many people walked in and are waiting. Because of scheduling the appointment I had brand new tires on my car in about 45 minutes. They were very busy and had standing room only so I was very glad to get in and out. I decided I didn't like the brand and ride of the tires that were currently on my car and even though two had only been on the vehicle for approximately 17k miles the tread was already at the line for needing replacing. The gentleman that helped me out gave me a credit for the two tires so I was able to get 4 tires for the price of 2. He showed me the top two tires that he would recommend and I went with the one that had the better handling. The staff at this location has always been very friendly and super helpful. It doesn't matter how many people are in line they will always greet you as soon as you walk in the door and let you know they will be with you as soon as possible. read more

Worst Discount Tire I've been to in 20 years. Stood in line for almost twenty minutes past my appointment while three employees stood at the counter answering phones instead of assisting the people who drove all the way to their store. To make things worse, they didn't balance my tires very well and I'll have to take time out of another day to get it done right elsewhere. They quoted astronomical prices for new rims and tires etc so she said she would just pick it up. when she arrived at the Discount tire her car was sitting outside with a flat tire. Now mind you we brought it in Inflated to 32psi. The guy said "we cant put air in it it may explode" What? Talk about unethical repair tactics. So she drove it over and put air in it and drove it home. Made an appointment with a Lexus repair facility and they say listen closely "There Is Nothing Wrong with the Tire"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, I ordered two tires online and booked my appointment (which was beneficial, at least for me). 3 days before my appointment if got this voicemail... "Wanted to confirm your appointment and let you know your tires are here." When I showed up they let me know only 1 tire was there but they had other brands available which were more expensive. Typical bait and switch if you ask me. They know I am already there and don't want to leave. Just a heads up, be prepared to walk if they bait and switch you. I wasn't and I'm mad I paid $100 more. I had bad experience last week at this location. My second time with discount tire. I had the best service experience on my first visit at frisco location and came back for a service in this location expecting that the service should have been the same. However, i left discount tire with very bad experience. I went in for tire service. They stripped one of my lug nut studs while fixing my tire, claiming "these things happen" and no tools to fix it for me and told me to another shop nearby to fix it. He even said "tell them discount tire refer you and they will fix it for free" which they were not and about to charge me for over $100. I ended up heading to my dealer and had them fix for me. Apparently, this discount tire location hired unprofessional people for services!!! Be careful and i would recommend to go to different liable locations!!! read more

Bought four tires from Discount Tires last year along with the refund certificate. Went in today to get a nail taken out. Was told warranty would not work as tread was too much. they also said I had to get new tires put in, even though I only got the tires last March. Left with no other choice, forked out over $400 for two tires. They put in a more expensive tire than what I asked for and again charged for warranty without asking me. I asked them to cancel the warranty. They brought their manager to convince me to take the warranty. I said no and they refunded that amount. My wife started backing my car out of the garage yesterday evening, and heard an air pop and the TPS indicator turned on. I checked pressure, and found 15 psi. Moved the car back into the garage, and she drove her car. Too late to do anything about it since it wasn't an emergency. Check again in the morning to see if I could get the car to Discount Tire (about 10 miles away). After inflating, I heard air and psi was back to 20 in about a minute. Left it in front of the house and called AAA (every once in a while, that gold plan comes in handy). Rim was bent causing the issue. Two options. Send the rim for repair (~ 5-day turnaround) or pick up a 3rd part rim (available for same day install) for even cheaper than the repair. Agreen to the price quoted, and that I would take the damaged rim so at some point I could repair it and match my rims. Turned out the tire was damaged as well. They honored the original quote throwing in a similar tire. Back in the house with issue resolved in roughly 2.5 hours including travel. These guys get lifetime customers the right way! read more

Had a flat and unfortunately my car does have a spare so had to have my car towed to Discount Tire. All appointments were booked but the person I spoke with thought he could install 2 new tires that day. My car has AWD so I needed to replace all 4 tires just not 2 which was not in my plan. They offered me a discount if I got all 4 tires which was $75 less than what I paid to get 2 tires at NTB. It was not the same tires. We needed to get a patch real quick on a saturday kind of late. We probably came in about 3:30 to wait around for a rotate as well as the patch and told us it would take them until about 5. They set the proper expectations, snuck us in when they were pretty busy and got us out before 4:30. That's basically the definition of great service to me from a former service advisor. read more

Absolutely horrible location. I went in a few weeks ago with a screw in my tire. They told me it could be patched (we have their tire coverage) and I could be on my way. The patch took 90 minutes (way too long, I had gone to another Discount Tire and they took 30 minutes to give me a brand new tire). Fast forward a few days later and my sensor light goes off. I take it to same location, guy checks my tires, all register 34 psi except for the tire that was patched a few days ago. That one comes in 27, which I find odd. I mention this to him, he takes a quick glance and says doesn't look like a nail in there and it doesn't look like it's leaking and basically shrugs his shoulders. Tire sensor is off at this point so I drive off and keep an eye on my tires. Week later, sensor goes off again. I take it to another Discount Tire and the guy actually checks the tire to see if it's leaking. Definitely leaking and says it needs to be replaced (again, we have coverage, so no biggie). Said about an hour and they were done in 30 minutes (including rotating my tires). Avoid this location. If you have to go to a Discount Tire, try the one off El Dorado and the Expressway. read more

I went to this location with nails in both passenger tires. Was told can't fix front tire because tread too worn on the inside edge of the tire. Wanted to sell me a new one. The back one he said they would fix but would take 2 hours ( in fairness I did not have an appointment ). I said thanks but no thanks. I took my car to 2 other tire places immediately after. The first fixed the front tire in 15 minutes with no issues. They said the back tire had a nail too close to the edge to fix so I took it to a third place that confirmed this and I replaced the back tire. Neither one of these other tire places thought the front tire was too worn. Doesn't say much for Discount tire's knowledge. Won't be returning ever!! read more

Crowded when I got there, but the line was short. Got Dillion. Needed two tires put on the rear, move my two rear tires to the front. Going a little taller & wider with this next back set. Paid, feeling he understood my idea, very well. Walked to lunch, then over to Target, hoping all four tires would be on just like I wanted, when I returned. Got back & the two taller, wider tires were on. Because I had already paid up front, it was very easy to drop off my shopping & pick up the key. Waved at him, he handed me my key & off I went. I Always buy two as a set, which helps with rotations & lets me stagger until I find the setup I really like. Went back & got two more the next day. Will use one as a spare, & the other as a back-up. If you're looking for Tires, go see Dillion. Call first with your #s. 1st # is the Width. Second # is tire height, good to have a strong sidewall. Third #, is the size of your wheel. Those #s are on your old tires. If Dillion is busy, just tell them to have him call you back. read more

I've been a user of Discount Tires and their services since 1985 down in Victoria, TX. I don't remember a time when I went to any other tire store during that time period. I've had very good to great experiences with them over the years and I will, despite what I'm about to say, continue to use them for all my tire needs. The location at HWY I-75 and Hwy 380 in McKinney, TX was very busy today. They told me it would be about and hour and a half and it was. So I found something to do in the meantime and when I got the text I headed back. As I began walking towards the showroom doors I noticed one of the Employees, David, pull a nice Chevy Pickup truck out of the bay and right into the handicap spot. He did it without even thinking. This wasn't the first time he'd done it. The vehicle didn't have the license plate designation nor the placard hanging from the mirror. He got out and got to the door before me and he went and located the vehicles driver, a young, very healthy looking young man, and gave him the keys. So when Shane came up I waited until he'd given me my key and paperwork before I quizzed him about the ADA. He knew nothing about it. So, I told him it was thanks to the ADA that those very well marked handicapped spots were right in front. That those spots are for handicap people that have either the placard or the correct license plate only. Then I asked, some would say demanded maybe, that he educate David about that. That just because there's no spots left in the parking lot does not mean that he can temporarily park non-compliant vehicles in those spots. I pointed out the driver and said maybe it's just me but he doesn't look in any way handicapped. Indeed, from the time I saw him get the keys to his vehicle from David til the time he walked out was at least 5 or 6 minutes that spot was unavailable to someone with a disability. Now I have to wonder just how many of David's co-workers do the same thing. Just how helpful and friendly is this particular Discount Tire location to Americans that have disabilities? read more

I went in to get a set of tires. After all 4 tires were mounted, I noticed that the 2 on the driver's side were different from the two on the passenger's side. The ones on the driver's side were not the tires I had selected. I pointed this out to the sales representative. He told me to come back in 2 days and they would correct the situation. I objected and told them that I wanted them to fix the situation at that time, since I was already there. They said they were now closed and I should come back in two days. They said they had the tires in stock and they would give me an appointment. When I returned they told me that they didn't have my tires and that I should come back in 3 more days. They said they ordered the two tires I needed. When I returned in 3 days and they removed the 2 incorrect tires from the driver's side. Unfortunately, they replaced these 2 incorrect tires with 2 new identical tires of the exact same type, which do not match the tires on the passenger's side. I pointed out that they were mounting the same type of tires which they just removed and that they are different from the tires the passenger's side. Came in to replace 3 tires. I was looking for different options - both in price and quality. Gentleman that initially helped me seemed to not want to explore too many options with me - seemed tired and annoyed. He basically gave me a choice between two. I was quoted a 1 1/2 hour wait which turned into 3 hours. I waited in their waiting room and decided to walk up to the counter to inquire about my vehicle when I reached the 1 1/2 hour mark (the originally quoted wait time). The gentleman that assisted me that time was completely unconcerned that the time of completion had now been doubled to 3 hours. Very poor service all around and tires are not cheap. It's never ideal to deal with a slowly leaking tire but overall I had a good experience here. This is the first tire place where I've been greeted and met in the parking lot while walking into the establishment and when my car was complete, it was pulled up to the door and ready for me just to get in and drive away. This location made my son wait two hours to tell him they could not patch his tire. They initially came out and looked at the nail in his tire. He asked if it could be repaired due to the location and tread depth. They said it would not be a problem. After saying it would be 45 minutes, he gets a call 2 hours later saying they can't do anything. Too many place around here to treat customers like this. No urgency or care. Was there to have a nail pulled and flat fixed. Asked them to rotate and balance to remove a wobble at speed that started after the flat. Flat was in parking lot at a retail location so the tire wasn't driven on. Instead of fixing the flat they replaced the tire without my approval and then did not rotate or balance the wheels. Tire was 6 months old. Had to bring back and bring to their attention and had a lack of urgency to take care of the issue. Quick to make a sale with you present but slow to offer any quality of customer service. read more
