Discount Tire in Monument was very helpful in getting our 28 foot Winnebago motorhome back on track with the tire monitoring system and we are now able to use the system perfectly. Discount Tire added back onto the inside tire a "stem" that allows us to access the tire pressure so when we are traveling and feel secure knowing the tire pressure. I had a horrible experience with Discount Tire. I had a tire leaking air and had Discount Tire inspect it. They told me there was a 'bolt' in the tire which created a hole that was too large to repair and tried to sell me at least two tires but suggested four tires. They put the spare tire on and I drove it to Big O Tires. They immediately told me the hole is not too big to plug and they can use a larger plug, and even if they didn't have a larger plug, they could patch it. Not only that, Big O found that the 'hole' was not leaking any air (or unnoticeable air) and found that the source of the leak was around the wheel. Big O stated it could be caused by a wheel/rim being bent or rust that happened to make it's way in cause a leaky seal. They took the wheel and cleaned everything and provided sealant between the wheel and tire and everything works great now. They also plugged the hole to make sure it didn't start to leak. They said the hole was just a deep gash but didn't puncture the tire. I'll never go to Discount again and will go to Big O for now on. read more

Brought in a 33ft toy hauler for new tires and we were a little worried about getting it in the lot and how long new tires would take to be put on. We had an appt and they got us in right away and we were out in no time. The only issue was they almost didnt balance our tires because the ones they took off werent, even though we paid for balancing and wanted it. Luckily my husband was watching and caught it. They had no issue with doing it once we mentioned it, but you might want to keep a close eye on them while you're in. read more

I love Discount Tire! I'm full time in my RV and got 6 e rated tires on my toy hauler a couple of years ago from Discount Tire. Even though I did not have DT on my truck yet, I knew I would be getting my tires from DT soon as I needed them. When I'm on the road, I can pull in to any Discount Tire and they check all of my tires, even the ones they did not sell me, just to make sure I'm safe. So, needless to say, when I was in Colorado Springs and decided I needed new tires on my truck how much you can guess where I went! They took such good care of me and gave me a great deal on 6 tires for my truck. The customer service here is excellent. Seriously excellent. A very rare thing to find in auto shops. It had been too long since I had my tires rotated and prepared to wait for an hour plus (usual wait for service there - worth the wait). After getting out of my car I was immediately greeted by an employee who asked how they could help. We checked the tires together and he explained to me what he was looking for, what the wear should look like at different points of the tires, and eventually thanked me for bringing the car in but recommended against rotating because they had worn evenly. This took me by surprise; most places tend to go forward with the service even if it's unnecessary, but not this place (not the first time I've had this experience here). The guys here always take the time to educate their customers and while they are still salesmen, they're not pushy. You don't get that uneasy, deceptive vibe you get from a lot of auto shops and I always feel good knowing that my vehicle was treated right and I wasn't taken advantage of. The service here has been top-notch and incredibly quick. Just the other day my wife and I went by to have her tires rotated and balanced. We were going to leave the car but the car was serviced and back on the road within 10 minutes. Today I got 4 new tires and the wait was 45 minutes or less. This is by far the best run shop in the area. They do great work and they are fast. They take appointments, which is very convenient. Their labor prices are good. However, their tire prices are much much higher than even their own company charges on-line, including the cost of delivery to your home! If you use this shop it is far less expensive to buy the tires somewhere else on the internet, and take them in to be mounted. read more

Unfortunately, I have to write a negative review on a place I have enjoyed doing business with since 2011 and recommended to friends. I have spent $1,000's of dollars here on snow and all-season tires over the years. This morning I came in to get a new set of snow tires, we compared to the Costco web site and agreed to a price that was below the Costco price with a $100 mail-in rebate. The guy I was working with was new so he had a manager help him to ensure the quoted price was correct. They had to get the tires from a different store and asked that I pay a $50 down and come back in the afternoon to have them installed. They provided a receipt with the remaining balance due after the $50 pre-payment. I let them know that we were going to the mountains next morning and I needed them today. When I returned for the install, another manager told me that they could not honor the price we agreed to but that they would beat the Costco price. $71 higher than agreed (a little less than 10% of the total deal) A bit of a bait and switch but I am not positive it was intentional... I was left with no other options as it was 4 pm the day before Thanksgiving. Given the convenience of closeness to home and the fact that the service has been great in the past.... I will give them another chance and post my future experience. You just can't assume the agreed and printed price you paid a deposit against will be honored by this store. Hopefully, the mail-in-rebate works. The paper work says it's a Black Friday sale (11/27 - 11/28) and it's the Wednesday before. read more

I had a great experience here! I will certainly be a returning customer. I'm telling my friends about this location too. I ordered a set of tires about a week ago. I received a call from discount letting me know that the tires that I wanted could be ordered, but they were discontinued. This makes it hard to replace a tire if one is damaged beyond repair. I went to the shop that day an ordered a different set of tires. They went above and beyond with the ordering process alone. When the tires arrived and I went in for installation, the shop gave me an accurate estimate of when the work would be done. The rep did a walk around of my vehicle with me and answered any questions that I had. When I returned after install the rep at the counter remembered my name and greeted me. The guys working in the shop bagged and loaded my old tires that I was saving. On top of all of this, the tires were a good price too. I appreciate the great service. I ordered four tires and made an appointment online. I arrived ahead of my appointment to a VERY busy place. I was helped within a few minutes. We went out, got some information from my car and went back inside where Jay (I think?) explained everything about the tires I was getting - the mileage expectation, the price, what was covered by the additional protection that I purchased. He made sure I didn't have any other questions before I paid for the work. I went there expecting to "camp out" for at least a couple of hours. Jay said I would be out of there in an hour. Great bunch of guys. Always worth the drive. You don't feel rushed, and they finish the work within the time they tell you. I have used them on 3 sets of tires now and been spoiled. When trying to go to a closer Discount Tire (Castle Rock), it made me realize how great this store is. I had prompt and helpful service in selecting the replacement tires for my wife's car--she had been seeking better all season performance and ride comfort and was willing to trade some ultimate grip and handling characteristics. The automated system, combined with knowledgable staff, helped quickly narrow down the choices and although the tire was not in stock, they arranged for delivery later that afternoon. Although there was a bit of a communication mix-up regarding the time required for install, everything was installed that evening and the senior manager of the store Jay Freeman personally followed up promptly once he heard of our issue with genuine interest to make sure we understood what had happened and were satisfied with the service. Cop stopped and helped me with the spare and this Discount Tire place was closest (on way to visit Oklahoma) so I show up 30 min before they close all flustered after being on the side of i25 like a sitting duck for 30 min! Anyhow- point is one of their managers, his name is Christian totally examined all my tires and the blown out one and walked me patiently through all my options and calmed me down! Drove from Springs to have a pair of snow tires I was interested in mounted to my vehicle(only shop within 30 miles with my tires), and I'm sure happy I made the drive! Working in the Auto industry I know how demanding and stressful the holiday season can be but this shop seems to thrive because of it. I thankfully had Walmart and Texas Road House to keep me occupied for a couple hours. Being told they would stay until every vehicle was finished really made me feel appreciated as a customer. Excellent service! i brought in my new mini motorhome to get a balance and rotation and they were so helpful. Dominic was a great help! he explained to me that a special tool was needed to remove the hubcap. He brought the tool out to show me and suggested i take a picture of it so i could keep one i the vehicle....just in case.
