What a waste of time. This place could careless about anything other than slamming you for the most expensive tire possible. Was told the wait would be a hour to hour and a half for a patch and I dropped my car off at 345 went back at 515 and they hadn't even started. Not to mention when I asked about the prices the sales rep told me my friends and family discount expired... wtf I'll save my money and go to BIG O instead. STAY AWAY or go up the road to camelback where they actually care to help you. read more

Saturday morning i was on my way to Yuma az for a baby shower and i get a blow out on the i-10. I pulled off at the very next exit, checked the tire and broke my nail trying to adjust things. I decided to slowly drive to the nearest auto/tire place and it just happened to be this one. I had my puppy with me, no leash and no collar and I am bleeding from my broken nail. I walked into the shop, which had just opened and Gabriel Lizarraga immediately greeted me and helped me with my situation. He let me bring my puppy into the lounge area to get out of the blazing heat, a gesture i will never forget. He also gave me a tool to assist in getting my hubcaps off in case anything happened and i would need to change my tire in the future. I have never had such outstanding service anywhere in my life. I am a small business owner in Scottsdale and im happy to find employees with half the fortitude and assertion that Gabriel displays. because of my experience with Gabriel and discount tire I am now a loyal dedicated customer. i will never shop anywhere else for tire services. I'm a Discount Tire fan. Sure if you don't have an appointment, you might wait, just like everywhere. I made an appointment, was dealt with promptly, they got my car done in the time they told me it would take. They are professional, friendly, and I trust them. They showed me the options, total costs, and information about the free follow up visits. They clearly are well trained and the simple things they do are noted. Erick told me he would bring my car around. I was waiting outside, another co-worker ran out of the garage and checked that it was clear to pull the car out. The people working there were ok, but too many mistakes to make this anything but a bad experience and one-star rating. First, I notice they put the wrong tires on when I get home (my fault, I trusted them). I have a sports car with mix-match tires (smaller in front, larger in back) and they put four smaller on. Now, I'm not trying to say they did it on purpose (the larger are about $40-50 more), but you'd think their tire techs would've done enough of these types of cars to know better. 45 minutes later I get my car back and get halfway home and the tire pressure light comes on. Now I have to go back a third time and get that fixed. This is not the way I wanted to spend my entire Saturday morning. I'll be going elsewhere next time. read more

After being told my car would be ready in an hour I came back an hour and a half later and the work had not started. I was told I was next but I'm still here frustrated waiting for them to finish. I could have come later if they let me know they were going to be late but no one called. I was driving on a nearly flat tire a couple of days ago so I stopped in at the 32nd St/Thomas location and I received the best service that day from Ryan Castro. He found a nail in the tire and also helped me to understand the condition of my tires (the tread), so I decided to get a new set (he even rotated them so that made me feel better about what I was doing). I felt like Ryan genuinely treated me and the other customers there with great customer service and it was wonderful to get that kind of service, especially from a busy place. :) I will definitely go back there again. :) read more

This place can be busy, especially very difficult to enter and exit during rush hour traffic. Good service, but sometimes you will need to wait for a long time because their store is so small with limited parking spaces. Better make an appointment before you go! read more

These guys are awesome! Professional, kind, courteous. I ran over a nail this morning on my way to work and nobody else around could "fit me in" for a repair. These guys took care of it for me, free of charge, with smiles on their faces. I will definitely be coming back when I need a new set of tires. Even though they were working in a make shift conditions due to their reconstruction I was in and out of there in under an hour. Very bad experience, lie to by Jason and then Sam swear to it. I had a small finishing nail in the center of the tread with only 5,000 miles on a top rated tire. "we can't patch it" after a 1.5 hours of waiting. With my 32 years of experience in this type of work, I told them to "just go ahead and put a patch, it will be fine". They would not, I had the road hazard, free tire but $22 for additational road hazard and mounting AND I have to come back to tomorrow for the tire, we will give you a loaner tire..... oh and more waiting. Question is , Why are they so willing to replace a perfectly good tire with 5,000 miles on it? What do they do with that tire? I'm thinking they are selling it off the used rake of keeping it for them selfs. Either way, Costco will be my tire company for now on, Just base on I don't like being lied to by the store manager. Oh and , As I sat for the 1.5 hour all the sales clerks where clearly trained to "upsell" . They all sounded so pathetic like a broken record. read more

AWESOME Customer Service!!! Fast and fair prices. The Discount Tire Store on Thomas Road is the best one in Phoenix. The service at this location is amazing. The manager and the techs are very friendly and seem to really want to help you. They clearly care about their customers and take time to talk to you and make sure you are getting the best tires for your needs. When I told them I was going to be driving the ALCAN highway to Alaska, alone hauling a large trailer, the service technician, Logan, even showed me where all the tools are in my Jeep and explained how to change a flat tire and how to use the jack for my vehicle. He checked the spare tire and added air and reset all of my sensors etc. With four new tires at a very fair price, I was in the out of there in under 30 min. So I had 4 brand new tires on a car and one had a small screw in the middle of tire. The tire was leaking so I drive into discount tire since they used to repair this for free. The guy looked at tire and said the hole was too big to repair and I needed a new tire. I've had this happen numerous times before and a small screw has never been an issue. However I asked do you have the same tire in stock. He said no but we can put a different tire same size. I said no I'm not going to put a different when they are all brand new. I asked if I could at least put air in my tire so I could drive to another place that at have the correct tire. He responded that the tire was too low to put air in it. Are you serious I just want to be able to leave. These people are so shady and rude. I drove 1/2 block pulled into gas station and filled my tire with air then drove 2 miles to a no name tire shop on Thomas where the guy patched the tire for $5. I recommend staying away from this discount tire at all costs because it will cost you way more than necessary. They are rude and shady. read more
