I came in three days ago regarding a tire light. I got a new wheel and went to discount tire on Thomas and 32st. Within hours my tire light came back on. So I made another appointment for today. I've been here over an hour and still waiting for my car. They didn't add enough air. They had me leave their lot with two tires at 19 and 11 psi. Not ok. They need to be at least 34 psi. Ricky was no help at all. Giving me incorrect information and not helpful at all. Told me I had a nail in my tire and upon inspection it was revealed he was telling me about a completely different car under a completely different name. Then when I asked him how come he's not double checking and why is he giving out incorrect information he tells me he knows what he's doing and not to yell. All I asked was why are you giving out wrong information to incorrect information? Then he walks away unwilling to help. read more

Today I brought my mom's car into discount tire on Chandler and 46st (Ahwatukee). I came in last week because the tire was low and had air placed in it. The next day it went flat so I brought it back to find a nail was in it. I'm not the norm who brings her car in, it's always been my Dad (past 15 years), but his passing in December has now passed the job to me. Every time he's purchased tires he's purchased a warranty even the records show but SOMEHOW it was said he didn't (Which again I know isn't facts because over 15 years he has). The employee wanted to charge me $153.00 for a warranty when it's only $30.00 to replace my mom's tire. Timothy said he'd cover the tire because he' sees the history and knows there's been coverage every other time. I know my Dad was dealing with a lot during this time and I'm not sure if they just didn't make him aware of the cost so I'm sure he must have thought they were giving him a deal but he would have never walked out without a warranty. HOWEVER! Chris decides OH NO. Instead of just replacing the tire under loyal customer support of the business let's charge me 194.22. My argument isn't about the cost per se but when one employee says because you've been a customer for so long and we can see you've purchased a warranty every time, to not cover the tire seems to me just bad service. Of course I want my mom's tires to be covered so I paid but the rudeness from it all just makes me now going somewhere else for my car to purchase tires. I'd normally give a good review but this time around I feel Discount didn't show ANY GOOD SERVICE to me this day. read more

I went to get my tires filled up yesterday since my tire light was on in my dash. I waited 50 minutes in line and when I finally got to the front- I saw what the problem was. The employee was taking his sweet time everyone's tires. While taking my information he was complaining on how tired he was and how over this job he was. I thought that was so unprofessional as everyone has hard days but its not good to complain to customers and gave me such a bad vibe. Even after filling up my tires my light was still on. He said to drive it a few miles as it will go off then. I know my car- it won't and will probably need a new tire sensor as this has happened in the past. I scheduled an appointment to repair my RF tire, which had a nail close to the shoulder. My schedule was set for 8:45 on Jan 4th. They were not busy so I was serviced almost immediately. I had seen the screw on my tire was causing it to lose air and knew it needed to be repaired. Shortly after they brought my vehicle into the bays, I was told that my tire was not repairable. I walked to the backroom to view the area in which they said it was not able to be repaired. To my surprise, they had not taken the tire off of the wheel to inspect the inside of the tire and came to their conclusion it could not be repaired by only inspecting the outside of the tire as the screw was close to the shoulder of the tire. I used to be an employee of DT and was ALWAYS told to take the tire apart as you have a full inspection of where the direction of the screw lands inside the tire. This is because if the screw was in the presence of the steel belt (cords), the patch is safe to repair. I am frustrated that after sharing this with the employees, I was presented with pushback that "that's not how it works." I was fortunate enough to have their certs for a free replacement of the same tire which I appreciate DT for having, but I did not want to go in and replace one tire with all of my other tires being close to 6/32nds and the brand new tire being close to 12-14/32nds of tread. I don't need to get into why this is not optimal for your car or why it can cause premature wear on the differential(s) and transfer case. I am simply sharing that much less hassle would have been presented to me if the tire was taken apart and inspected from the inside, providing me peace of mind, knowing that I would be safer IF we were 100% sure that the tire would not be repaired. Instead, I had to pay for insurance on my new tire I never wanted in the first place, and now I have to worry about having mismatched tread depths on 1/4 of my tires. I will never go to other tire shops because I believe in the service and culture Discount Tire conveys, but this time I came in, I left feeling less than satisfied with the service I was provided by the techs in the backroom, and my original rep in the sales room. I would like to thank Jorge for taking care of me and finding ways to add convenience for me when I dropped off my car and picked it up after closing, his attitude cheered me up after me hearing my tire was not able to be repaired. I know DT can do better, which is why I did not rate this any lower, I hope to not have a similar experience next time I come in. read more

Thank you to the kind staff at Discount Tire for getting me back on the road with a new tire! I've visited this location twice in the last few months to replace two flat tires. I originally purchased my tires at Discount and signed up for their warranty program so each replacement tire cost about $20. Not a bad deal at all! If you come when they first open at 8am, you won't have to wait long for new tires. However, if you show up later in the day, expect to wait 1-2 hours depending on how busy they are! I appreciate that the employees are up front about the wait time and it seems like they truly do their best to get your new tires installed quickly! I need to get my tire pressure sensors replaced and they quoted me about $300 for four new sensors. I'll update my review when I get the new sensors installed, but I expect it to be another 5 star visit! read more

Best automotive related experience. The assistant manager Dylan was super helpful and kind during my service appointment. After my appointment when I returned home and reviewed my receipt, I noticed that there was no discount for my tires being under warranty. I headed back into the store and talked with Dylan and he found my tires were under warranty. I was encourage to just wait because I wouldn't save much time with an appointment. Two hours later my car is finally done and they tell me they had to also fill up the other tires. I really don't recommend getting a nail in your tire. However I was just leaving the airport and discovered that my tire barely had any air in it. I stopped by the nearest discount tire and was immediately greeted. They apologized for there being a wait even though I didn't have an appointment which was completely unnecessary. For years i have used Discount Tire for all my tire purchases, feeling comfortable with their character and pricing No Longer. Recently I visited my local store regarding a tire with a nails in it. During our discussion of said tire, they informed me my tires need to be replaced due to lack of thread dept. I was shocked!! Michelin tires with only 32K miles on them. The salesman informed me that was about all I would get on a manufacturers tire. I explained all of tires on car were bought from them. I even mentioned that i had asked for Michelin Defenders with 65k warranty. No discussion of the tires they sold me being "manufactures" tires. True, the bill did say GM in front of tire description. But the price was for Michelin Defenders---not a quote manufacturers tire . I got 32 thousand miles on a 65k mile for which they offered 40 dollars credit . The tire was covered in full under their roadside hazard . So i proceeded to put replaced tire and one other new one on...price out the door was 320.00 . Apparently they automatically add on 20.88 for install and balancing and 39.88 for the tire warranty per tire. Both of these charges are about double the other tire dealers I checked. So no more business with ""Discount"" ( a misnomer). I will say staff was very courteous and polite----check prices at Costco or Walmart prior to purchasing at discount. Went to Discount tire for tire replacement and it was a breeze! Scenario: Called in Tuesday and got my slot the following day. Scheduled for 1pm and got served after 15mins in line. The guy on the front desk told me that waiting time is roughly 45mins to 1hr. Went outside to vape for few mins and I saw my car being serviced (1:34pm timestamp of the photo). After 10mins I decided to go back inside to continue the waiting game. Then few minutes have passed and at 1:55pm, guess what??? It's done!!! The guy handed me back the car with 4 gorgeous tires! And honestly, paying $500+ only for 4 tires + service!? Damn them savings! So far it's handling pretty well and I'm satisfied with the service especially the sense of urgency by these folks.
