I was charged $420 out the door for the three tires, which included the installation, balancing, and disposal fees. After looking into it, the Prtech DSU10 tires typically retail for about $70 to $90 a piece. Even on the high end, three of these tires should only cost around $240 to $270. Factoring in standard local rates for labor, balancing, and old tire disposal, a fair total price should have been somewhere between $285 and $375. Paying $420 means I was charged well above market rate for either the tires themselves or the installation fees. The tires are mounted and working fine, but I recommend doing your own research on tire costs and asking for an itemized breakdown of labor before committing to this shop. Not to mention when I asked to get the itemized receipt they threatened to take the tires off and go somewhere else unless I paid what they said without looking at the breakdown. Having a busy schedule during the week trying to get additional stuff down and trusting this shop was a huge mistake. I will not be returning to this business and will never suggest a family member or friend to go there.

I've been buying tires from here ever since I moved back to the area after entering the workforce. I buy there because: 1) I get what I need, not what he needs to sell. 2) Professional, quality work. I don't want my tires balanced some kid fresh out of high school who was trained for a day, and I don't want my lug nuts tightened (or left loose) by some overworked, underpaid, unappreciated employee distracted by other customers and co-workers. 3) I always get a fair price, always better than the chain stores. 4) Free soft drinks! Something I do, and I would ask of everyone, is pay in cash. Economy Tire happily accepts credit cards, but paying in cash saves them the ~3% fee from the credit card company (and saves me interest charges on the balance inevitably not paid off at the end of the month). Midway through the service, the manager informed me that the front rotors and brake pads also needed replacement. I approved the additional work since the tires were already removed. During the repair, the mechanic accidentally cut the sensor wire on the brake pad and attempted to cover the mistake by taping it, then reinstalled the tires and tried to clear the warning lights from the dashboard. As a result, the brakes were improperly installed, the dashboard warning light remained on, and rattling and clicking noises could be heard from underneath the vehicle. Despite keeping the car for over two full days, NTB failed to properly resolve the issue. The business failed to provide a resolution and instead caused further damage to the vehicle. I spoke with Ben Cortez, the Regional Training Manager, whose primary concern was retrieving their parts after I took the car to the dealership for proper repairs. The attitude displayed by this company and its representatives is a direct reflection of the poor service we experienced.
