On Thursday, June 12, 2025, I initially brought my vehicle to NTB for four new tires and an oil change. Midway through the service, the manager informed me that the front rotors and brake pads also needed replacement. I approved the additional work since the tires were already removed. During the repair, the mechanic accidentally cut the sensor wire on the brake pad and attempted to cover the mistake by taping it, then reinstalled the tires and tried to clear the warning lights from the dashboard. As a result, the brakes were improperly installed, the dashboard warning light remained on, and rattling and clicking noises could be heard from underneath the vehicle. Despite keeping the car for over two full days, NTB failed to properly resolve the issue. The business failed to provide a resolution and instead caused further damage to the vehicle. I spoke with Ben Cortez, the Regional Training Manager, whose primary concern was retrieving their parts after I took the car to the dealership for proper repairs. Do not go here if you are a woman. This place is so incredibly rude and they will not have any respect for you. They damaged my vehicle, kept my car for multiple days, lied to me and tried to make me take my vehicle saying I dropped it off in that condition. The manager is horrible. Hour and 45 min later they say they are still working on my oil change but yet my car isn't up in the air and hasn't been touched by anyone in over 30 minutes. And they haven't started the alignment yet. But....a man came in after me and his vehicle is already done for the alignment Stop treating women like we are clueless to what is happening! I pulled in to get my tires checked. I was driving a rental and the low tire indicator popped on. I have done this many times in the past because that is where I buy my tires. No More!! The red headed young man in the bay chewed me out one side then the other. He informed me I had no right to pull in. That it was his garage. I told him I would back out but he just kept on chastising me. I am 63 and really don't need a lecture when all I needed was air.. Enough is enough. I left, went to take 5 and was on my way. This is unacceptable, terrible customer service. I brought my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe in for a replacement front driver side tire. It went flat after purchasing new tires all around. NTB plugged it, just for it to go flat again. The plugged it a 2nd time, it went flat again. We finally had it plugged a 3rd time just go flat again. They finally agreed to replace it. I waited 2 hours just for them to tell me it couldn't be repaired. WE ALREADY DISCUSSED THIS WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. Now I have to wait another 2 hours for them to replace it. So I came to get my alignment after buying my car from the neighboring dealership and I came in for my appt stating my name and the the old man named David said there wasn't an appt... I proceeded to tell him that I was in the day before and scheduled one through the dealership and bc I didn't use the name of the dealership he decided to lecture me about not using the right name with so much attitude it started a confrontation... who does this guy think he is that he can just start reprimanding a grown man for using the wrong name? Also why make appointments if you aren't going to honor them? One car in the whole bay and I have to wait bc they decided to push my appt back. Completely unprofessional and you can bet I'll never set foot in this business or recommend it to anyone ever. The employee who I encountered was so rude and dismissive I decided to go to American Tire down the street (which was amazing, explaining their high reviews). I had a flat due to a bolt puncturing my front right tire - luckily I have a Kia Soul, so tires are cheap. I made a reservation at NTB online, including accepting/declining certain add on services, etc. Obviously, you cannot decline the tire disposal fee or the cost of getting the new tire on the wheel. No problem. I got everything set according to what I could afford post Christmas and pre payday. As soon as I walked in I was hit with a "I don't want to be here and I don't give a f***" attitude exuding from the employee at the desk. Next, was the price. The reservation total was $79.52 after taxes and fees. When I arrived, the total was about $95. I was surprised and politely showed the employee my reservation, including the options and total. He was dismissive, rude, and also felt the need to keep complaining about the sun in his eyes (??? - not my problem dude - focus). He assured me there was no way he could get a $54 tire on my car for that price. If that's true, okay. But that is bad news for someone on a budget, so maybe try not to act like a POS while telling me that? Be professional, maybe throw in an "I'm sorry about that." Also, if that is true, shame on NTB for giving what seem to be detailed quotes online if that end price is not possible. American Tire is on Gordon Smith, they saved me money & got a tire on my car immediately on a Sunday afternoon. Above all though, they were professional and kind. Sooo yeah. On 2/11/12 Took in our second car to replace a tire rim as it got cracked, so they saw the rim and knew this. First they did not see the axel was bent nor did we know. Come to find out by having a friend drive behind me a week later the tier and rim they installed was shacking. Take it back and oh yes it is bent! Was informed the tier techs are not trained to see those issues. Number one you were informed the rim was hurt why not check things out to insure peoples safety??? Number two when I ask what the tech Joe Blow does that is on my receipt I am told he is a full technician oh so he is trained to see this type of issue. They made themselves look like even bigger fools. So I ask for a quote for repair. OMG $907.00 quote for one rear axle. I call Chevy and get pricing direct from them just as NTB does and they had marked up each item over 100%. One item they wanted to charge $89.00 Chevy charges them $9.07 really!!! This is wrong and should be illegal. I call and talk to the manager and he first tries to say well that is because we warranty the parts so I said "Really you do"? "NO Chevy warranties the parts that is not true"! Do you really think you deal with idiots every day! WOW..... He comes down to $700 something. All I could think of is wow how many people do you all do this too!! I call a local shop that has never tried to bend me over and hurt me and the price is $320.00 for everything that needs to be done with all new parts and has a warranty. Seriously check things out before you tell them to fix anything. FYI they will always find something else wrong with your car or truck to get you to spend even more money!!! When explaining all the charges at the beginning they mentioned some sort of warranty that'd cover any flat tire, blah blah blah. We don't live in Rowlett so didn't plan to get that. I'm not driving on a flat for half an hour so you can fix it. We were in a rush and happened on this place by chance. Had to buy a new set of tires, which was painful enough. I signed the ticket at the end THEN was handed the itemized bill and there it was, that stupid warranty. No questions asked, just added. $50 blown without our permission. Thanks for nothing. No longer accept oil stabilizers for bigger trucks was going to get inner and outter tire rods, shocks, 4 set of bf good rich, and wheel barings, ideler and pitman arm and 3 year ailment on the front, and a rear diff service, but they dont take 3rd party stuff so I could not get my oil changed like I have for 700,000 miles. Firestone has already changed my oil and has already ordered parts for tomorrow NTB had 2 cars in the shop and "they bi*** and moan we close in 2 hours" "we are the specialists" I like my truck the way I have it. I am the guy giving you money and now will never see again. I would not go to ntb a day in my life now if randy diken the GM knew that 4-6 grand walked out the door he would not let that happen please if you go to ntb go to the one in Dallas off inwood they want to make the customer happy read more

I scheduled my vehicle, 2021 Sonata, two days ago for an oil change and tire rotation at the Rowlett, TX location. After 10-15 minutes I was advised they did not have an oil filter in stock. I was told they ordered a filter which would arrive in 30-45 minutes. I ran an errand and came back. I sat in the waiting area for approximately 30 minutes before being advised they received the wrong filter and I would have to go to a dealership. I then attempted to leave but could not because they had drained the oil and were going to charge me $78.00 to replace it. No I did not pay. As soon as the oil was replaced I drove home. I vented my frustration with the manager who declined to accept any responsibility. Simple fact is they should have already had the oil filter since I booked online two days earlier. Would not recommend this shop to anybody. Been 3 separate times to get an oil change for my company truck and each time have been refused service. I made sure to get there around two today so I can Make sure there is plenty of time before closing and they still were backed up with 2 cars at 2pm... I have been coming to this NTB for about 4 years it's been just okay until the last year or so. Customer service here has gone down hill big time recently! Skinny short haired guy referenced in earlier reference has a definite attitude issue and not really interested in customer service at all. Came in for simple state inspection and trying to tell me its going to take an hour and half or longer as his only inspection guy is on job with 2 more cars behind it and before mine!! I asked him how long it takes to do an inspection where his only person can't do it quickly after he is done with the job he's on. Tries to tell me it takes 20 min. Total BS taking 20 min not to mention I can see in the garage, the number of mechanics and the number of cars in the lot, math doesn't add up. Ive finally had enough of the take it or leave it attitude of this place not to mention their labor hours are too high!! read more

Avoid NTB at all cost. This place is nothing but crooks. I went to have tires put on my car and asked them about name brands I could get on my vehicle. The manager told me either they didn't carry the tire I was looking for or the tire was no longer being made "yeah right". But he did have plenty of NTB's private label tire in stock that he could sell me which was more than the name brand tires. Go to Discount Tire or Firestone save the hassle and save some cash. I have been to the NTB in Arlington and the Toyota Dealership and they don't have customer service that even compares to this NTB!!! They never assume that I don't know what's happening, which I appreciate because I've had that experience before and I know some things. They always just tell me what I need to get done now that can't wait, and what can wait, and when you have an older car like me, that's really awesome. They always let me know what's going on and recommend better options that will keep my car running. They have never let me down and I will always drive here!!! And I live an hourish away. I have bought several tires from NTB and have always purchased their wheel alignment and road hazard program. I came by today at 1:50pm because I have a nail on one of my tires. The guy running the show today, skinny, short hair cut, very arrogant (I wish I could remember his name) tells me that I have to leave my car until the next day because he cannot guarantee that it would be done today because he has several cars in front of me. He's telling me this with a mouth full of food to go along with his arrogant attitude about it.. Truth is, every time that have dealing with this guy I feel as though he's purposely being arrogant with me for whatever reason he might have. His made negative comments about my that the reason it cannot be aligned very well is because "it's a Mercedes" insinuating that it's not a good make of a Car.. I have to say that when David was running the show at this location that I have always had great service from him. I have had it with this location.. I wanted two low profile tires mounted with tpm servicing. This location was on Tirerack's recommended installers. On Tirerack, it stated that the discounted installation price was guaranteed at this location. The price was ~$24 per tire. When I got there, this kid employee quoted "around $30 each" for just the installation. When I showed him the tirerack printout he said they don't honor online prices. Told him that it was guaranteed; he couldn't look me in the eye nor respond so I left. Went to Eagle tire shop right around the corner and got both tires mounted for $30 total (that's $15 each). They were careful around the tpm. read more

Welll not a happy camper. Stopped by to get a quote for 4 tires and alignment, the gentleman was friendly. Go today, ask for him, older man says he is not here. Looks at quote, says he cant do that or this, has a a different tire, etc etc etc. The price is now almost $165 dollars more and alignment not included. Well now I guess I will buy a used tired and save up more money and try another place. read more

I recently went in for a oil change special and included tire rotation. As usual, they showed me some places where my wife's car had some minor leaks. Unless I allowed them to make the repairs they would not preform a oil change. When I asked why, the answer was "they would be responsible if anything happened to the vehicle unless the oil leaks were fixed first". I then asked about the tire rotation and he said he recommended they not be rotated. I then drove the car to Sachse Service Center who does my mechanical work. They changed to oil and rotated the tires and made no suggestion as to repair the minor leaks. Do not send your wife there unless she is aware and is not easy to take advantage of her ill placed trust in them. Will not be going back read more

He was the absolute best! Completely took care of me and made me tear up because of the gesture he gave me for my husband being in the military. This is an awful establishment. First, they wouldn't fully honor a faulty tire and, then, when another tire company, Firestone, noticed that I had something else causing the tire's problems, NTB admitted that they should have caught the issue during a standard alignment. However, despite this admission of incompetence, they would only honor a portion of the tire and would not complete the alignment. Several of the employees acted like complete know-it-all jerks. The manager was friendly enough, but by that time I had already decided that I would go to Discount Tire or Firestone. read more

This place is doing great when it comes to my specialty alignment. I walked in and the service manager David Sanchez got my keys and got it right on the rack. Then the mechanic, Daniel Madden, got my alignment to where I wanted it. I had to get the camber adjusted because my car is lowered and he handled it with no problem. I took my son's car over to have the oil changed, tires rotated and get a quote on 2 new tires for his car. I saw that they had a few cars there and said that I'd leave it there and have him pick it up when it was completed since I live nearby. The person waiting on me did not, oh let's say he was not really a people person. 5 hours people.........5 hours later I get a call that it's ready. My son brings the car home with a sticker that says the oil is changed, but I think I'll check it tomorrow anyways. Also the tires are not rotated and no quote for the new tires. My son comments that the guys out in the bay area weren't working really hard, but seemed to spend more time goofing off. I don't think I'll be going back there for any type of service. Discount Tire's staff are more professional and I've had my oil changed at different places in Rowlett that never took over an hour, even when they were busy. With so much competition in the area of what they do you'd think they would be bending over backwards to make customers happy, especially since their location isn't that great. This is my second time visiting there. The first visit ended with me walking out and not being greeted. This time it was just short of a train wreck. read more

Sent my daughter in for an oil change and a state inspection. When she arrived the state inspector was out to lunch, so they started the oil change. About an hour or so later they told my daughter the car would not pass inspection due to a leaking power steering pump and severely gouged brake rotors and gave her a quote for $1,000 to fix. I left work to inspect the equipment and found the power steering pump worked fine and was not leaking, the brake pads were worn, but ok, and the rotors were not gouged. I asked the inspector to show me where in his inspection manual that he can fail a vehicle for these issues as normally the tires are not removed from a vehicle for inspection. He couldn't show me because it's not in there. He said if he deemed it a safety issue he didn't have to pass it. He then came up with another reason and said the vehicle failed a brake test which is not true. I left NTB, but before I left the parking lot I performed a brake test just like they supposedly did and the car stopped fine. The brakes worked fine and the steering did as well. I drove directly down the street to another state inspection station and the vehicle passed with no issues. One good thing, the manager did not charge for the oil change. read more

brought in a dead battery, installed by this location, that was still within the free replacement time frame. invoice was in their system, and it showed that this battery was a warranty replacement. since they nor I had the receipt for the battery that this one replaced (why would that matter?), was told that they would not know how to prorate it (huh? it was a settled transaction), and that if they just gave a free replacement that everyone would just turn their batteries in just before the free replacement period ended. the store would not handle this warranty replacement. clerk did refer me to a company store for the battery manufacturer, and they replaced it no questions asked just looking at the date codes on the battery. earned at least 2-stars for the referral and being courteous. read more
