I came here to get my tires rotated and I kid you not, it took less than 15 minutes. There are other times that the place is a little busier and it takes a bit longer but every time I've come here each person who has helped me is so nice and friendly. Even when I had to buy tires the guy was honest in telling me which tires are the best value for how much I drive and what kind of roads I'm on. The inside waiting area is nice and clean and I never have an issue scheduling appointments online. This place makes annoying tasks like taking care of my tires much more tolerable. read more

Discount tires is able to price match to some degree. The wait is horrendous though - they should invest in some way do intake/check in automatically for those who have appointments - i had to stand in line for 40 minutes just to check in for my appointment. All the people who didn't have appointments and were just simply ahead of me in the line were serviced first because of this. I was probably at their shop for 2.5 hours before my tire replacements were done. Their chairs are all old and beat up too so its quite uncomfortable in the shop. They do have a text notification of how much more "wait time" there is but it's very inaccurate and i ended up waiting 30 minutes longer than what the text said. The people changing the tires and doing the work were extremely nice and courteous and apologized for the wait. The people at the front - not so much and basically told everyone that their car was next. read more

TRASH CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. waited almost half an hour for "air check" which is, by design , supposed to be a quick in / quick out thing. i felt i had low, balding tires and needed to check them out. almost 30 minutes waiting, wasting my entire lunch time. and ultimate had to leave. the guy was struggling to attach WINDSHIELD WIPERS TO THE REAR WINDOW of the car he was helping after checking the air pressure. Why was he doing windshield wipers? and if he was struggling , the. ask the person to pull forward to be helped later so you can do the air checks on the other customers who are waiting for AIR CHECKS. then he wags a finger at me ? twice! then the "manager says i'm "berating" him? when i didn't even raise my voice or cuss on the phone? are you guys ok?? how far the customer service has fallen at this Discount Tire. never again. read more

Update: link doesnt even work so I dont know why they even respond. Maybe ill just call corporate. I came here to get my tires changed. Prior to this i have not had any issues of any lights on my dashboard coming on. After i left my traction; abs; power steering; emergency brake and tire pressure lights came on. I called them to tell them about it and instead of asking me to bring it back in to have it checked out, the guy that answered the phone said that having my tires changed has nothing to do with those lights coming on. I called a friend who is a mechanic and he told me they must have knocked of a sensor during the tire change. I also googled it and it pretty much said the same thing. I drive a manual car and i have the brake delay fearure where when you are stopped on an uphill it will hold the brake a couple seconds so you dont roll back. Because of these lights being on a sensor is not working and the brake delay no longer works. read more

First things first we try to let the people in the front know our car was being towed and we needed to be taken care of. Car got here and we asked someone else did we need to check in and he said oh yeah most definitely which the other 2 workers didn't say so now we're behind others. He gets us checked in and then we got passed onto Hector who was far from cordial. After showing us we had alignment damage I asked if we could just replace the damaged tired to which his response was he wasn't holding our keys hostage and we could tow the car wherever we wanted to tow it to and I stated that wasn't what I asked so then he said yes we could just repair the one tire. He quoted me with the cheapest tires versus asking us what tire we wanted. I asked him if he had the tires we had already he said no he didn't he had to order them so then I asked can he look up the tire we previously had gotten in August so he looked it up and he did in fact have the same tires. He then tells me the total and I asked was that with our military discount and he said your military let me see your card. I showed him my card and then asked was it not on our profile because they told me last time they did it they put it on there so we wouldn't have to show our id again. He ignored me. I was waiting for my receipt and he said you'll get it when you pick up the car. Horrible experience at this discount tire and wouldn't recommend to ANYONE, especially not dealing with Hector. read more

Amazing service. I've always had a great experience at Discount Tires, and the Mira Mesa location is no exception. Mg low tire pressure light came on so I drove over hoping it just needed a little air. I made an appointment online, and I highly recommend you do as well. They have plenty of same-day appointments. After the inspection, they said the tread on my tires was pretty bad. I am pregnant and wanting to take care of all the little details before our son is born, so I decided to get new tires. They showed me multiple options at different price points. I picked one option and they took my car back. As soon as they did, I began to get text updates. Poor service Dropped off at Mira mesa office for a MIs functioning valve stem. I gave my car key. Shop never called me to say you needed my wheel lock keys. I NEVER received a call. I waited almost an hour even though i made an appointment a head of time. The carmel mountain shop that installed these tires a few months ago did NOT need my audi wheel lock keys. (they were able to install without the wheel locks key). If you need wheel lock keys you should ask upon drop off. The attendant could not even find my phone number in your computer system when i asked what number your shop called. The automated text messaging was able to notify that it was done 40 min after drop off. This is incorrect since the tech told me he needed wheel lock keys when i checked in. I then had to wait another 20 min to complete work. Then when you installed the valve stem you didnt reset the TPMS warning light. The other discount tire shops will reset the light upon service of a tire. This should have been noticed when the tech drives the car into the repair bay. When i mentioned the problem with the lack of a call and the wheel lock and not resetting the TPMS warning light, the tech did not respond and gave me my keys. I went to a gas station afterward to check my tire pressures and reset the light. The tech did not even fill the tire to the audi recommended tire pressure settings. At the gas station i measured 24psi, when it should be at least 36 psi. When there are problems with a tire, Resetting the TPMS and checking/filling tires to spec should have been done as part of the cost of buying tires from Discount Tire, not just to correct a faulty valve stem. Even after my visit, i am still having a hard time filling air into the tire (the other tires are fine and easy to fill with air).... ****this makes your work VERY SUSPECT when i see little difference in inflating my tire before and after my visit. **** ------------------------------ Edit 3/5/2025 I have updated my rating and review. After speaking with the regional manager and the store manager (sean), the store corrected the problem with my tires. Upon coming back, they found a nail and leaks in the sidewall (due to manufacturer's error) which should have been found on the first visit. All valve stems were replaced regardless as i was losing more than 10psi within a day on the tires that did not have a nail or leak. I appreciate that they took time to correct the error and look to prevent these issues from happening. It is unfortunate that i had to elevate this issue to corporate to correct the problems but we move forward. read more

Update: Business Manager responded to my review with a form that does not work, just like their tires. Had youkohama tire literly explode on a freeway putting me in a dangerous situation, did not run over anything and there is no marks of any puncture on the the tire. It happened on a 1 year old car with 16k miles on it, was told by Erik I need to deal with yokahama myself. Erik told yokohama that damage looks from driving on a flat, when I pulled over on left shoulder without driving on it. Don't recommend this place and dont recommend Yokohoma tire. read more

I am finally reviewing tire purchasing at this Discount Tires location! After so many free tire rotations, the technician finally said that he would recommend replacement of my 6 year old tires. He emphasized that my tires still looked great but that he was making the recommendation because of the age of the tires. I had many nearby options for stores to replace my tires, but made sure to get them at this location because of how honest they always are. In fact, the technician recommended me a set of tires (based on my driving habits) that were actually cheaper than what I ended up purchasing. I had left with his quote to do some online research, and I purchased a set of tires during their Black Friday sale that was more expensive but ended up being similar in price after the holiday rebate by the tire manufacturer. After I purchased the tires online, I scheduled an appointment for installation on their website. I dropped off my car and walked to a nearby grocery store, but the technicians finished on the low end of the ETA they gave me. Such an easy and transparent experience. I came into this place with a nail in one tire and a screw in the other. I left here beyonnnnnd screwed. I'm no tire expert-but I just assumed they would patch the tires and I'd be on my merry way. Nope, Dustin/ Shaun said- they spoke some fancy tire language and I believed them. The consensus was --that I needed two new tires. Panicking, I asked for the most affordable option. They said "I can get you into some used ones if you'd like?" I roll with it and then notice my truck is driving topsy turvy, taking corners wildly, shaking when I brake, rattling when I hit 60 mph and fishtailing. Not wanting to come back here EVER, I asked my neighbor what might be wrong? My neighbor laughed. It turns out they sold me two freeway tires and my 2 existing tires are off roading. Beyond it being unsafe and a major inconvenience, I ended up having an additional expense to correct this. To get all four tires the same tred, I had to buy two new tires to replace the freeway tires they sold me. What a mess. read more

My experience here was fine. They told me I needed new tires which I was expecting. They replaced the TPMS sensors in all my tires including the spare as those sensors were about to fail. They had a AAA membership discount which saved me some money. With inflation though everything was almost $1300 for a 12 year old vehicle which seemed a bit much. It is what it is. They still have a warranty though on their tires and I believe the sensors they installed. There was a mix up at the end where one employee told me one thing and another employee said something else. read more
