I've bought tires from Discount Tire, and it doesn't really matter which location you go to. They are all about the same set-up and service is about the same. What I like about Discount Tire is that if you have service or buy tires at one location, you can then go to any location for service. So, I had my tires put on at the Naperville location, and recently moved to the Schaumburg area. I was due for a balance and rotation, so I came here to the Schaumburg location. Didn't need an appointment. In and out in about an hour. They even fixed a screw that was stuck in my tire for free. I didn't know the screw was even stuck there. read more

Firstly, I called NTB months ago and they were rude and impatient. I called this place months ago and the guy could not have been more accommodating for someone who was not even in the store. Outstanding, quick service. As a rideshare driver I needed long lasting tires that would survive any and all weather elements. I was given comparisons of various tires and was recommended a set of 70,000 mile tires. With installation and the optional lifetime warranty, I walked out under $450, a steal considering how much dealerships charge for parts and labor. (Said dealerships often do not guarantee tires, either.) Best of all, I can get lifetime rotations and balancing free of cost because I bought their tires. While I normally recommend sticking with the dealer for optimum performance, this is one area where I think breaking away is worth it. If you drive in cities like I do, tires wear down faster and often pop. The peace of mind Discount Tires offers trumps any dealership, in my opinion. read more

My husband went in to get 3 new tires. He already had got one last July 2022 from the store in Lombard from Cole on Roosevelt who put in the system all the information needed when he returned to any Discount to get the remaining tires. Chris at this Schaumburg location tried to charge him twice as much for the tires after he explained and he would not change it. My husband left and went back to Lombard where they honored what they had in the system. Chris told him it would be dangerous to drive and he was giving him a deal, that was a lie. It's a shame that this location and the one in Algonquin on Algonquin Rd have similar people working there who sho favoritism to white people and black people. We all bleed the same idiots. I thought I became a customer after I changed new tires at Discount Tire. Don't they supposed to check tire pressures after replacing them??? All tires have different pressure so I had to stop by local gas station to fix it. Please go to Costco or someplace else. read more

Mistakes happen, but this shop refuses to admit to theirs. I had tires replaced in June '21 after being told by my dealer that the rears needed to be replaced (documented) It is November and my rear tires are completely bald. Shop made an error and replaced the fronts. Assistant manager tried to claim my rears were fine in June and I have gone from 6/32nd of tread to bald in less than 5 months and 6k miles of driving. Somehow it took 20k miles prior to lose the other 4 or 5/32nd's on those rears from when they were installed brand new. I always had great experiences with discount tire for 10+ years until now. I purchased 4 new tires from Discount Tire on Thursday September 21, 2017. After I left Discount Tire, I drove to an appointment I had and when I left the car began making a very loud scraping noise from the front end (approx. 15 miles from the store). Unfortunately it was after 6 PM and the store was closed at this time so I continued to slowly drive home. As soon as I could bring my car into the store, I did. 2 employees looked at my car and told me that my brakes pads had suddenly failed and that this must be a crazy coincidence that happened right after having four new tires installed. At this point they basically said there is nothing they can / will do because it was just a strange coincidence that the brakes completely failed shortly after having the tires mounted. The manager on duty that morning walked over by the employees to talk about the situation and walked away without acknowledging me or the situation. I reached out to the corporate offices, who then forwarded me to a regional employee, who then left me one voicemail ensuring me that they would forward on my concerns and I would hear back from them and my concerns wouldn't fall on deaf ears -- haven't heard from them since. Could this be a crazy, baffling coincidence? All I can say is that my brakes were fully functional and working perfectly without making any noise or vibration, etc. prior to having the tires installed. read more

At the end of August, I bought four tires from Discount Tires in IN. THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I have had two issues with the tires they sold - I don't consider this a problem. The issues I have are this: The two tire issues: sidewall blowout and a slow leak. Are the issue. On the sidewall issue, I had stopped at a Discount Tire in Hoffman Estates IL at 15 min before closing time and was told to come back another day AND GO TO ANOTHER STORE because they didn't have my tire but St Charles, IL did. Company policy states that they will send someone to get the tire needed and bring it back and install it. Obviously, they had better things to do that night rather than help me out. read more

My go to spot for tires is Bloomingdale's Discount Tires. The service is always spot on and they are originally from Michigan! The only thing that makes things a little difficult for me are their hours. Over the weekend I had a "low tire pressure" message on my dashboard that reappeared after I put air in my tire. So come Monday I knew I had to come to Discount Tire to get my issues resolved. Schaumburg Discount Tires is closest to my work. I got off work at 5:15 and sat in traffic all the way down Higgins, I arrived at Discount Tires at 5:52, 8 minutes before close!! I was terrified that I was going to be turned away, but they didnt :) I was greeted by Doug and he asked me how he could assist me. I told him the issue I was having and he asked me to have a seat. Maybe 5 minutes later he asked me to come back up and I explained the whole situation, I gave him the keys and DT inspected my tires. The temperature may have caused my tire pressure to go down and there was no tire leak like I thought maybe had occurred. My car ended up needing new tires, I replaced them and was out the door about 45 minutes later. While I sat waiting I noticed everyone working hard, as a team and even doing a little readjustment of displays and cleaning. Everyone seemed happy to be there and were incredibly friendly. I have to say one of my best experiences with customer service. I went in already irritated due to having to replace a tire that was barley a year old due to a nail and not being able to patch it because it was so close to the side wall. I spoke with Doug who absolutely gets the true meaning of customer service. He completely calmed me down and and helped me out in every aspect of the word. He priced match and went above and beyond by not only price matching but beating the price by $30. He also helped with making sure that if this was to happen again I will be completely covered. I brought my car in about 4 days ago for a leak in my tire, they were quick and efficient about fixing it, no issues there. However, I did notice some money missing out of my car, I keep change in the door, pennies were scattered in my cup-holder and no change was left in the door. Now, I realize that yes it is just change, but there was at least 6-10 dollars worth of change in there, I never had an issue like this before! Lesson learned on my end, but it is complete BS that an employee of theirs is stealing from people's vehicles. read more

I got new tires this past March and every experience I have had at this location has been fantastic. I have specialty tires and they were able to order them and have them in stock to replace mine within a few days. I've also now gotten two nails in my tire and they were very accommodating and friendly even though I walked in 10 minutes before they close. This past time I needed a tire rotation because I have put on a lot of miles, and they did it the same evening even though they were about to close. I had a nail in my tire while driving on expressway. I went to 4 different tire shops and no one was able to assist. I took a chance going to Discount Tire knowing they were already closed. I knocked on their door and they were able to look at my tire. They confirmed I needed to get a tire replacement. I asked if they could please replace it since I had no spare tire and I lived 40min away. I asked them to also check my front tires since I was recently told I needed to get them replaced. Surprisingly my front passenger tire was so worn out that it was completely ripped. They told me I really need to get it replaced since it was very dangerous to continue driving with it. They didn't have the same 4 tires I had, but provided me with different options so I could drive back home safely. I'm so very appreciative of Michael & the other gentleman who helped me thru the entire process. They tagged team together to get it all done very quickly. Lou was really helpful and knowledgeable about getting new tires on the truck. I called ahead of time to make sure that they tires were in stock. After dropping the vehicle off, I walked down the street to Starbucks and waited patiently. I was told it would take about an hour and that was spot on. I knew the tires needed to be replaced and the prices here were very reasonable if that the cheapest I'd seen tires even after searching the internet.
