I just got back from here. I got a flat today and wasn't sure where I wanted to go. Discount Tire is on the way home from my work so I drive by it every day. I checked the reviews here and nothing but good reviews so I decided to give them a call. The man I talked to on the phone was very delightful and he sounded very excited for me to stop in. He said he would try to repair it first, and mentioned that it would be free if he did that. When I got to the store, the same nice man from the phone helped me and he was great! He brought my SUV in and saw that my tire had been driven on too long without enough air and it went flat from that. So that was not repairable. Sadly the tires I had had been discontinued otherwise he would just got me a replacement. Since I have all all wheel drive, I had to get all 4 tires. I was scared the prices were going to be crazy, but they werent at all. I got the 2nd most expensive tire and it only came out to $750 with the warranty they offer. I was very surprised and happy. I only had to wait about 30 minutes for tires to get changed and they handed the keys over. Everyone there was so pleasant and the place was very clean and comfortable. While waiting to get a price quote on 1 tire at a nearby tire store, I jumped on Yelp to see if there were any other tire stores in the area. I found Discount Tire store. I decided to give them a call since they had 5 stars. When i called i spoke to a very friendly staff member who seemed happy that i had called. They quoted me with low prices I did not expect to find in Schaumburg. I've got a beater car, so i was not looking to spend a whole lot. I dreaded to have to buy a brand new tire for a car that may not go another 10k miles. After the tire store i was at gave me a quote of $104 for 1 tire with installation, i decided to check out Discount Tire store. I was greeted by Rishi who introduced himself with a smile and open ears. I explained to him that i had a beater car and was not looking to spend too much. 1 of the tires has the wrong size rim, another has a bald tire, and the third was damaged on the highway and exploded when i drove over some debris. I was only looking to get 1 tire. However, Rishi made me an offer i could not refuse. He offered to replace the tire with the small rim with a larger one so that it was better for my car, and offered to replace the two front tires with slightly used tires for $128. I was like heck yea. When the work was completed, i could not tell that the tires he gave me were slightly used. They looked brand spankin new. Wow. I drove around to pretty much every place in the area to compare tire prices and Discount Tire came out to be the least expensive. Despite this, their level of service, I have to say, is absolutely phenomenal. During my first visit, I couldn't afford to get all four tires replaced and so only wanted to do two. The gentleman helping me knocked down the price to something much closer to what I could afford, and I got to roll out with four shiny-new tires on my car. So yeah, good first impression? Nailed it. While I was waiting, I watched another employee spend a good half an hour going over different options with a very particular couple who had walked in, and even called around to get competitor's prices for them at their request. She did so without hesitation and seemed genuinely happy to be of service. The second time I came in to get an "air pressure check" (it was just after the infamous "polar vortex" which left my tires looking like soggy donuts). No appointment, arrived ten minutes before close (I got there as fast as I could!), but they still took care of me very quickly and put air in my tires for no charge whatsoever... the employee even refused the tip I offered him. On top of this, despite the fact that they were about to close and already had a full waiting room, they were still taking walk-ins... even people who offered to come back the next day. When one customer said "but doesn't that mean you guys will have to stay late?" the employee's response was simply "all part of the job, sir". It sounds like the sort of thing you'd only hear in a Hollywood script for a movie that takes place in some overly-nostalgic 1950's scenario. Being a brand-new store, the facility is clean and comfortable. The waiting room has tea, coffee, and refrigerated bottles of water (all free) plus a couple iPhone charging stations. The employees are very helpful and friendly, do not work off of commission, and go out of their way to assist you as well as they possibly can. I work in customer service myself, and I have to say I don't think I could ever have the energy to maintain the level of service they provide. So, yeah, color me very impressed. I honestly can't think of a single thing about which I'd complain, which is a pretty rare thing for me (just ask my husband). read more

The hubs needed new tires because he drives his car like he is on the Indy track. Or because we live in the land of pot holes. Both seem like plausible explanations for his tires being balder than Howie Mandel. The staff here was very friendly and they slapped those tires on quicker than I thought especially considering the fact that we brought it in on a Saturday i.e. the day all us sorry 9-5ers try to get 2 weeks of errands done. Even though the team member who helped us talked my husband into the tire warranty, I forgave her because she gave him a deal- buy 3 warranties, get the 4th free. I always tell him it never hurts to ask for a discount. He seems to be catching on. Be still my heart. Tip to the locals: the parking lot is tricky to get into because of a median and an exit only driveway. You definitely want to make sure you take Higgins west to get into the entrance on the north. read more

This place is great. I won't go anywhere else from now on. I woke up to a flat tire yesterday morning. I put the spare on and headed to work. I brought my tire and wheel here after work and they did a free repair. They said they repair any tire no matter where you bought it for free. I knew the tire didn't need to be replaced and they didn't even make an attempt to sell me a new tire. I did need a new TPM sensor and that was $65 but understandable since the stem was sheared off. I have always been a customer at Discount Tire and have always been treated fairly and respectfully. I went to this location twice last week to check my tire pressure, as well as the alignment. The first time I visited, the associate kindly told me all I had to do was pull up in the free tire pressure zone to get checked quicker and be on my way--how efficient. The second visit was yesterday as I got the car's alignment looked at. When I returned to pick up the car, they confirmed the car was very off balanced and that I would no longer have issues. Can't say enough nice things about this location! I've been to several different discount tires but will continue to go here in the future. After discovering my tire was losing air fast the night before I came here unfortunately without an appointment but that didn't matter. They were able to fix my tire which had a screw in it for no charge! In the time I went and had breakfast and came back it was done. Cody helped me out when I arrived and was polite and genuine. What a frustrating day at this Discount Tire...I came back to do a tire warranty pro-ration with the manufacturer, if it doesn't hit the mileage warranty, they can pro-rate. Came in November the first time to get the measurements and the rep said they would hold the dollar value replacement for 30 days. Came today, 28 days later - different rep said nothing was filed in the system. Wanted an invoice for the original tire install to check miles but my car was brand new and the dealer did a swap for me at the dealership. Had original tire receipt and bill of lading for the car purchase but not good enough for Discount Tire. Manufacturer said those were fine. Mind you, I don't live down the street...complete disrespect for my time the last 2 months. Every rep has a different answer every time I go there and manager was no where to be seen. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to BMW for a blown tire. They were going to charge me $300 for a new tire, I remembered I had a certificate for 4 tires at discount tires I purchased in 2012. I called before coming in, driving an hour and was assured I wouldn't pay a cent for the tire. I said are you absolutely certain, I have a new car and he said absolutely. I get here after driving hours (because of traffic) and they tell me I have to pay even more than BMW was charging me and that they will not honor the 4 free tires I purchased. Had a blow out with front tire night before, and bought car into store early Saturday morning. Without an appointment, and it was somewhat busy, I was able to get my tire fixed within 1 hour. Ramiro at front desk was very helpful in handling this. I observed the shop from the waiting room, and could tell all workers were trained very well, and were very courteous. I definitely recommend Discount Tire at this location! I discovered a screw and pin in my tire causing low tire pressure today at around 5:30PM. The store closes at 6pm. I got to the store at 5:59PM just a minute before the stated closing time. I had a toddler and infant with me - Cody who works there opened the door for me and helped me get my tire fixed within 20 minutes. This was so important to me not just because of their quickness (since I had my two young kids with me) but mostly because they were willing to help me out with my unsafe tire issue even though they had to stay later than closing time. For comparison, I called a car dealership in Schaumburg and they said they couldn't stay longer than their closing time of 6pm. Brought them back due to an imbalance/noise issue. They rebalanced all 4. Still noisy. Brought them back (with appt. that is the way to do it there btw). This is my third sets of 4 wheels and tires with this company my recent purchase was the vossen cvt 20" staggered and asked for a good tire that was good for rain and dry weather because my wife and I are moving to Florida this month. For whatever reason, I'm always a little skeptical when I see a place has a ton of 5 star ratings, but I needed my tire looked at quickly and so I went with it. In short, this place is awesome. 5 star rating couldn't be more true. My tire was flat, I put some air in it so I could drive it over. I went in, talked to a gentleman named Andy who was very friendly and professional, explained the situation. Said they'd take a look and see if it could be repaired. He showed me which tire they would recommend I get if the tire couldn't be fixed and the pricing. A little over an hour later I get a call from the guy saying that they found a nail in the tire and were able to remove it and repair the tire. I asked how much. The reply: "No charge sir.". No charge?! I thought. NO CHARGE!! I couldn't believe it. I picked up the car, signed off on it and have been rolling since. One thing is for sure, Discount Tire in Schaumburg will have my tire business for years to come. If only more businesses could be like this. read more

They were able to get me in shortly after I called and were able to wait while I drove in from downtown even though thier store was closing at 6. My only regret is I didn't call sooner and come in during the day and work from thier waiting area, which is big, really nice and clean and free water and coffee. I had a nail stuck in my tire, so it would of cost me nothing to fix, but because I was a dummy and fixed the first one myself, they couldn't fix it. So the guy behind the desk did something amazing! Mind you, I was ready to spend maybe $300 at most. Instead me put a warranty on all of my tires, and replaced the one for free! They even rotated my tires for no extra cost! What would of costed me almost $150, costed me under $110, and now all the tires are under warranty! Everyone was extremely nice. The tire light turned on in my dodge avenger 5 months ago, also had a slow leak for both the tires. I didn't get it fixed till now. After going to other tire stores saying ridiculous prices for tire prices I didn't bother to get it fixed till now. Brought in my car Saturday and was very pleased with wonderful customer service. Lou was one of the tire expertise their and gave me a good deal for a pair of tires. It was super busy that day because of the good ratings they have. I walked out with two brand spanking new tires. The next day the TPM light came on and I'm like "ughh what now" Came in this morning and told the store manger that I came in a few days ago to get new tires and the TPM System is having problems.
