I brought my vehicle to Discount Tire for a routine tire rotation and balance--something they do every day. When I returned to pick it up, I was informed there had been an incident and my passenger-side mirror was broken. This damage was not present when I dropped off my vehicle. First off. Tires are tires. Discount, Big O.....etc. All the same. By that I mean you can negotiate the cost. How hungry the respective store is to make the sale will determine your luck. I'll explain what happened today to my son's truck which is the same thing I experienced with mine the last 3 times I've bought tires here. My son just came home with $2000+ in Nitto tires for his Dodge Ram. These kids inflated the rear tires to 80psi cold. This is the max pressure for this tire when cold. NOT the running/operating pressure for the hot Arizona streets. As tires heat up, they naturally build pressure on their own by the air inside the tire expanding. Even if it expands by only 1-2 psi, these fools have already inflated them to their max. ANY increase now exceeds the max recommended by the manufacturer. In short, these snot nose kids have no idea what they are doing when installing tires and management is more interested in making the sale then making it safe. read more

As per the above review we usually have amazing service at all the Discount Tire centers we have used over the past 25 years. We use Discount for all of our family vehicles. The service we received today December 17, 2024 was sub par and very disappointing to say the least. This was the store right next to Discount Tires Corporate Headquarters 20555 N. Scottsdale Rd 85255. We dropped off our car today at 10:30 am per the appointment app. My wife had a nail in the drivers side rear tire and we made that clear when we dropped it off. Within an hour we received a text that our car was ready and we came to pick it up. The front desk technician advised us that they removed the tire, dunked it and could not find anything wrong with the tire. My wife walked out with the tech to show him and as he was walking out he said oh I can see the nail from here. They didn't even check the other tires and they took down the wrong information on what tire needed repair. They said they could fix the problem. At 3pm my wife called and asked if the car was ready. No text was received even after 4 hours. They replied the car was ready and my wife had an appointment at 3:30. Upon reaching her destination she noticed the greasy mess that was left all over our light colored leather interior. (See attached photos). She called the store and they offered to clean it up. She had to go back after her appointment. They cleaned the grease off the interior leather with a Clorox wipe. The whole event took most of the day and it was a simple flat repair. We are very disappointed and looking at the other reviews are wondering what happened to Discount Tire. read more

Pretty sure that making an appointment and using the online check in is all a placebo effect. Unless perhaps every person in the waiting room had appointments as well...as everyone continues to have their cars pulled in while mine has been sitting for well over an hour untouched even though I had an appointment. This is follow up to my last review about Discount Tire. Although my last experience was quite terrible and a waste of time. My recent experience was far better in every aspect possible. I went in, in the early afternoon to have my tires replaced and the customer service was very professional and helpful. Also the service manager was very transparent with me about tire prices and the best options for my car. Although service on the car took well over 3 hours and I had wait in a local bar while the work was done. I did get a very good discount for my tires and actually cared about getting the done in a timely manner when it was finally in the service bay. About a year ago, I purchased four Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires from Discount Tire at the Oro Valley location (8125 N Oracle Rd). These tires came with a 50,000-mile warranty and are the same model used on the Ford Bronco Sport Badlands. Unfortunately, one tire started separating and went flat at under 20,000 miles. I returned to the store expecting warranty support. The manager informed me the tire had been discontinued, which surprised me--because I had just seen it listed and available for order on Discount Tire's own website the night before. I had actually held off ordering online to give them the chance to handle it locally. This made me question the value of their warranty. In the end, I was told the tire couldn't be replaced, and I had to buy four new tires of a different brand. They also sell an extended warranty called a "Certificate," but I would be cautious about that as well--what good is a warranty if the tire is "discontinued" and they won't honor it? Now, to be fair: the staff was polite, the waiting room was clean, and for a walk-in on a busy day, a 3-hour turnaround is pretty reasonable. They work hard, and I appreciated their professionalism. But based on how my warranty situation was handled, I would advise potential customers to read the fine print and ask a lot of questions--especially about what happens if your tire "disappears" from the system. read more

A Quick 5 star review for the Discount tire on Scottsdale Road just North of the 101. This morning I got a low pressure alarm on my F-150 Lightning while taking my wife for her Cancer Treatment at Mayo. Being an EV pickup it takes special Michaleans. In the 2 or 3 miles from Happy Valley to the store the pressure went from 28 psi to 10. I left it there for repair and Uber'ed to appointment Two hours later the was repaired at no charge. These where OEM tires, not from Discount repaired at no charge. I will be back for a full set when these wear down. A special thanks to everyone at the store. I was checked in at 11:15am by a guy named Kelsey. I gave him the keys, the receipt and explained the tires need to be installed. I figure they'll get to it rather soon, even though they seemed busy, people are coming in behind me. Another guy, Ethan calls me up to the counter at 11:40am and proceeds to ask the same questions. So basically, I sat in the waiting area for 25 minutes without being placed in the queue. So, I am told it will be up to a 2 hour wait. I arrived about 9:30am and there was already a long line . The attendant took care of each car quickly while ensuring our safety . We purchased new tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) back in November and it took a while for the manufacturer to make the tires and send them to Discount Tire....finally in April they were all 4 delivered and ready to be installed. I did call many times to check the status. I made an appointment in advanced and went in today to get new tires. I was in and out in less than 1 hour! Very professional staff. I Called prior to appointment to make sure they had tires I needed. The Gentleman said they have only had two and would order the other two. When I arrive for my appointment I was told he ordered the wrong tires. The correct tires I needed were ordered and I would have to come back later that afternoon. My whole day was taken waiting for the call for the tires. Discount tire reviews are fake and filter out all the negatives. For instance, the Pirelli 275/55 R21 116H tire was explicitly created for the Rivian R1T three years ago, and there are no reviews from Rivian owners. Additionally, the fact that the Pirelli tire does not come with any tread warranty speaks volumes. (mine's lasted 20k) On the other hand, the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 275/55 R21 116H XL BSW has only been on the market for less than a year, yet it has received numerous positive reviews. I can't praise my longtime relationship with Discount Tire enough. For the last 25 years they have been my source for wheels and tires on every car I've owned during that time. I have a new car and haven't needed new tires yet so the tires on the car are not from Discount but that hasn't stopped them from repairing 2 different nail removals and a rotation in the last 2 weeks ALL FOR FREE. Today was even a holiday and they got me right in. repaired the at and sent me on my way (AGAIN) with no bill. Can't be any more affordable than that!! I love the knowledgeable employees and they walk out and give you a recommendation right on the spot. and they don't try to force you into a sale. they look right at you and say "You can go at least 10-15,000 miles on these. we can check them again later".
