Honestly for a tire shop I was highly satisfied with my experience. I brought my Tesla in for its first set of tires, and my primary concern was that they knew how to lift my car without damaging the battery. The tech knew what settings my car had to be set to and knew how to use the pucks needed to lift the car. I bought my tires online using their credit card (it gave you 5% off which was a pretty good deal) and made my appointment online. I walked in for my 8:45am appointment and my car was done at 9:50am which I thought was a reasonable wait time for the shop being pretty busy. The negative reviews are most likely coming from people that walked in an expected everyone to drop what they were doing to care care of them. Make an appointment online, buy your tires online, and it will be a very smooth process. Staff were very friendly too and provided a good service. I will use them again in the future. read more

My son took his car to Discount Tire because he had a nail in one of the tires. The tires were 10 years old, so they could not patch it and recommended getting all new tires. The estimated wait time that my son was given went past the time by almost two hours. When he got home, I noticed that one of his hubcaps was missing. I sent him back to Discount Tire to see if they had it or maybe it was not put back on tight enough and came off as he was driving home. They did not have the hubcap when he went back, but they told him to go to the nearest Auto Zone, get a new set of hubcaps and they reimbursed him and put the hubcaps on. This place is no longer reliable and I don't recommend it. I went in for low tire pressure. Nail was removed and tire was repaired. The tech told me they changed all four of my TPMS sensors. No conversation about this before doing the work. I would not have agreed to it. Then, he tells me that they couldn't get he low tire pressure light to come off and that maybe the receiver needs to be replaced at the Toyota dealership. Wrong. The remote is still controlling door locks, which are controlled by the same receiver. They clearly don't know how to use the scan tools to get the new sensors to communicate with my car. My car isn't recognizing them and I'm left with the giant "low pressure" alert every time I start my car and it does a system check. Plus the little exclamation point is still there ... even though pressures are fine now. Strangely, they didn't even charge me for the sensor job ... even before I started getting irritated. Very suspicious. I called back later in the afternoon to see if I could get the old sensors they had removed since my car recognized those. Was told they're no longer available. I don't know what's going on at that shop, but I'll never be back. Toyota dealership's quote is in the $800 range. All four of my tires were purchased from Discount Tire. The set before that was too. Never again. UPDATE: The manager, Jim, contacted me and we came to an agreement. He opened an insurance claim and, hopefully, the Toyota dealership can put in new sensors and get them to work. read more

I had to have my flat tire fixed and I went to the Taylor shop on Eureka Rd, closest to work for me. I was concerned about my arriving with less than an hour's time before they closed but the guy on the phone assured me without hesitation, "Well of course we will take care of you! Just come on over." When I got there my tire was repaired for free and I was in and out in approximately 20 minutes tops. While I waited I chatted with 2 guys who were probably managers (I regret not remembering their names) and they spoke about how hardworking their employees are, they like to stay busy/ actually work, will find things to do if business is slow because, "They don't like sitting around." I had an account with Discount Tire for my former vehicle and I intend on getting another for present car. It was so refreshing to have true customer service from employees that know the value of work plus employers that value their employees. When the mechanic(?) brought my keys to me he also asked me if I had any questions for him, as he walked me out and thanked me for coming in. Old school rules! Well done! read more

I am at Discount Tire in Taylor on Eureka Road for a tire with low tire pressure. I arrived about 4:45 pm and it's now 6:30. They have not even looked at my car and the service representative says that my car won't be ready to be looked at until around 8:30 pm. They close at 6:00 pm. These guys are very slow. For all we know I may just need air, but I won't find that out for almost four hours, Don't come here if you can help it because they will never get your car done. They almost force you into the tire insurance when you buy tires from them, but it's a waste of time because you come here for a repair and you spend all your time waiting on them to find out why you have a leak. i'll be looking for a new Discount Tire in the future, at least until my warranty expires. read more

They put a plug in my tire ; and it didn't work . Said the hole was too big - that is a lie . Just trying to get me to buy a new tire .need a lawyer to sue for elder abuse . Less than worthless . I went to another shop , had the tire removed from the rim , they won't work on a bad patch . Looking at the patch , I was able to remove the patch in one piece - IN ON PIECE - should be impossible . Poor service, recently purchased tires for my car, and instead of putting on the tires I purchased they took it upon themselves to put tires that I didn't not purchase, thinking I wouldn't notice. They also took upon themselves to replace the original meta tire caps with plastic caps. I strongly believe it is a professional to call customer by their first name! unprofessional to call customer by their first name I would never recommend this location. What a great place. Everyone I came into contact with from the Manager Andrew Willis to his Ass't Mgr Erick to the other men were professional, friendly and helpful. I watched as they went the extra mile for 2 customers while I was waiting for my new tires. One needed a ride back to their homes to get their spare tires after being towed and dropped off. Another was waiting for his car which was being towed and then he learned it was towed to the wrong store. Erick figured out how to get him the tires to the other place. Way beyond the call of duty. When I returned, after a day of hell and flat tires, the manager made it right and made sure I was a happy customer. While I don't fault the employees necessarily, the over all experience every single time I come here (or to mast Discount Tire locations) is infuriating. I understand it probably makes sense to arrange to have a ride so that you can drop your car off and leave it. If you can't do that, be prepared to wait 2-4 hours for any service, repair, or installation to be done. I unfortunately was not able to get picked up, so my last visit here was 3 hours of waiting to tell me there was a nail in my tire and it needed a patch. I'm not an expert in repairing tires, but I feel like I could have spent less time learning to plug the tire on YouTube, buying the kit, and doing it myself. read more

We went into the Taylor store in hopes of getting new tires put on. We thought it wouldn't be done until the morning. When Dan C started talking to us, he was so kind and knowledgeable. He got us the tires we wanted at the best price. We were expecting to leave the truck overnight. Within 45 minutes of us leaving the store, we received a text saying the truck was done. We turned around and picked up the truck. We were so happy with the results. The drive home was phenomenal. He didn't have any road noise and felt a difference in the ride. Dan was truly there to help us and keep us safe on the road. We had problems in the snow the week before. We are not worried about driving in the snow anymore. Con artists! Kevin or Keith told me I had a defective tire when in fact I just has a small piece of debris in the valve stem. All they will do is sell you tires by using lies and deception tactics. This location doesn't even deserve one star! I called to check if they had a particular tire in stock and to schedule an appointment. The gentleman who answered the phone asked if I had visited the website. While I appreciate the knowledge that I could go online and look it up myself, I prefer to speak to an actual person. Anthony put me on hold for an extended period of time (no big deal, as I know he was helping another customer). When he came back on the line, he asked if I had visited the website. Um, no. Why would I still be on hold??? I walked him through my issue and asked to have the tire ordered and an appointment made. He then proceeded to tell me I already had an appointment (for the same day) at another store-I did not-and we had to go round about that). FINALLY we get to ordering the tire. I asked if I should just schedule the appointment once the tire came in. His response was demeaning g and rude "well, that's what I would do, since we call everyone once their tire comes in". Now, had that been said in a less than sarcastic tone, it would have been fine. Whatever. Please order the tire. He wanted a credit card number for a $25 dollar deposit. I read it twice, invalid number. I figure he's not hearing me well, so the third time I speak slowly, to ensure we get it right. He tells me "ma'am you're going to have to go faster, the machine is timing out". Again, it sounds innocent enough in text, his tone however sounded like he was speaking g to a two year old. At that point I gave up. I told him I didn't appreciate the way he was talking to me and hung up. I called the next closest Discount Tire and got a very friendly, helpful individual. My wife and I had to make a quick run to Detroit and while returning to central Ohio, we received a tire warning from our Q7 sensor. We pulled off and right there was the Discount Tire in Taylor MI. Not only did they jump right on the repair as it had a screw in the front tire and was leaking down quickly, but they also inspected all my tires for wear and remaining life. They pointed all of this out, but did not try to pressure me into new tires or anything. Rather, they worked quickly to repair my tire to get me back on the road and then informed me that there was no charge for the repair. I tell you what, even though they do not have a store near me, when I need tires I will seek them out even if I just order online and have the tires shipped to my house. Great service!!! Great offerings to fix tires that are repairable for free... now that is how you win customers!! I have owned a small business for over 33 years and this Discount Tire showed me that there are still American companies that GET IT !!!! After driving the vehicle for a couple of days I found that I had a slight vibration @73mph. I returned to the store on 9-6-17 and made contact with Dave who showed the professionalism that I have came to expect. He immediately had my 2016 Ram brought into the garage area and had the tires rebalanced. He also found that I had improperly entered the information for my rebates. The story: Had a flat tire on my lunch break at work. I called AAA and had them come to save the day. AAA told me that the tire was repairable and that the shop down the street could take care of it for $20.00. It was a slow leaking rim. I explained that I was on my lunch and needed to get back to work. AAA filled it with air and sent me on my way. I talked to some guys at my work about it and they told me to save my $20 and go to Discount Tire. They said that Discount Tire will repair your tire for free if it is fixable. Sweet!! $20 saved. So, onto Discount Tire I go...... This is where the counter guy comes out to my car and tells me that my tire is not repairable and in fact, dangerous to drive on. He then proceeds to tell me that another tire of mine is dangerous to drive on and that overall, I would need all 4 tires. Me not knowing anything about cars or tires, I totally believed him and almost left my car right then and there for new tires. BUT.... There was a small voice in my head that told me to wait. And when he ended up quoting me $700-$800 for tires, I decided to hold off. I was unhappy. I didn't get my tire fixed and now I had to spend a butt-load of money on a new set. Ah well, I thought. It is what it is; I'll take it back tomorrow and get the dang tires. The next day came and went as I ended up being too busy. A few days later, I had to take my car in for a tie-rod repair at my local mechanic. While my car was there, I asked them to get it done by 2 PM so I could also go get new tires that day (it was my day off for errands). The mechanic told me that my car had been taken to Belle Tire in Southgate for an alignment. He said that if I wanted to call Belle Tire, maybe they could work something out with me so everything could get done all at once. I did just that. I called Belle Tire and they said they would inspect my tires and call me back with a quote. Well folks, they told me that I absolutely did not need new tires. That all of my tires were in good shape with decent tread. They even said they could fix the "dangerous" tire. They fixed it for FREE too. They totally would've made some decent cash from me but were honest and didn't take advantage. So my recommendation for Discount Tire on Eureka....................DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! I cannot stand dishonesty. Had they been honest, I would have probably taken my car there when I actually will need new tires. Spend your money somewhere else!!!! read more

This is the only price I get my tires from, and for good reason! First off, they offer Free Tire Rotations! A lot of other auto stores will charge for this service, sometimes $15+, which can really add up when you're supposed to get it done every 5,000 miles or so. Secondly, they have an awesome tire replacement program. Just last week, Discount replaced one of my wife's flat tires for just $16 -- Sweet! Last but not least, they gave me a $50 rebate for a promotion that hadn't started yet when I bought my last set of tires! When it comes to getting new tires, go to the place that gives you free rotations and hassle-free replacements. ----- 4/4 Update: Well wouldn't you know it, less than a month after getting new tires, I get a flat. Thankfully my cost to replace was just $16 thanks to the tire replacement program (cost of new certificate for new tire). ----- 7/6 Update: Discount Tire will even let you purchase the tire replacement certificates for tires that weren't originally bought from them -- sweet! read more

Then went to get my winter's swapped out only to wait an hour and find out they didn't have then from the warehouse, and I would have to come back another day. I offered to try and locate a tire for him and pay for it. I called around and nobody that I called had one that was reasonably priced. I ended up calling and talked to Ken and he had a quality tire at a good price. He got us in and out quickly so I could make it to the funeral I was headed to. The gentleman with a flat tire said he was praying for help because if he couldn't get to work he would lose his job right before the holidays. Went on Monday to get a tire changed. The staff was kind, but I was there for almost 3 hours for 1 tire change. 3 days later the tire pressure sensor in the tire that was changed went bad. They said it was a "coincidence" that it happen to go bad in that tire. I'm not sold on that. They wanted to charge me another $40 for a new sensor. The car is 2 years old.
