But when people are working on your behalf to do the best that they can to service so many people, I just felt grateful All of the staff from the curb, to the bay, to the front desk were great! If you're a young female, looking to get taken advantage of here's your spot! I stopped by for an air check because my light came on. In 10 seconds 2 employees concurred that one of my tire plugs from a previous puncture was leaking and that there was no way for them to fix it and that I needed to buy a new tire. Thank God, I'm not an idiot and went and got a second opinion. They did a full inspection found nothing wrong with my tires and the air wasn't even low. I've had nothing but unrealistic expectations set here. I came in for two new tires. No appointment, but we were quoted about an hour, so we decided to wait. It took well over that, and when the tires were finally on, the air valve covers were missing. We had to ask for them. I called and made an actual appointment to come back because the tires weren't balanced correctly and I also needed an alignment. I showed up early, and they told me that canceled my appointment. I figured it wouldn't matter since I was already there and assumed they could just take my car a little early. That didn't happen. It was well past my scheduled time before they even pulled my car in. Then, about ten minutes after I watched them bring it into the bay, I got a text saying my service was complete. That made no sense, since they originally told me the alignment alone would take at least 45 minutes to an hour and a half. I spoke with someone at the desk, and they explained that this is why they don't make appointments for alignments. The problem is, I did make an appointment for an alignment, over the phone, with one of their employees. My car still isn't finished, and I'm still sitting here waiting. This is the last time I'll be coming here, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

A tire on my Camry developed a leak overnight. I filled it up in the morning and drove it to Discount Tire to get it plugged. The guy came out to the parking lot and immediately showed me three reasons why my tire would need to be replaced. For the record, these tires are top of the line and have about 5k miles on them. Never drove on the flat. I took it to Firestone for a second opinion. They lifted the car (crazy right?!) and checked out the tire. They found a screw, repaired the hole, and sent me on my way free of charge. Discount Tire has lost my business and my respect. Be warned. read more

When I got there everything thing changed super high pressure and scare tatic sales went into full effect, I was told just one tire would blow my transmission, told me that the 4 tires had in stock were the same hight and were factory Mazda approved replacement tires!! All LIES!! The tires they wanted to sell me were a1/2" shorter being upset I wanted my money back and they argued with me that my car wasn't safe and I couldn't leave. Discount aligned my 2021 Tesla Model 3 today and now it tracks perfectly. I was afraid I would have to wait weeks or month for the Tesla center, but with Discount got in the same day. Who likes walking out to a car with a flat tire? Not me!' So when I pulled up to DT with a flat on a Friday at 5 PM I wasn't the happiest. My tire had just enough error for me to drive across the street to discount tire and they were able to look at my tire get it replaced and warranty out in a fast, timely manner that was honestly impressive. I really appreciated the job and the effort that they put into getting it taken care of. And even though I had an attitude when I showed up, they definitely turned a horrible situation into a much better situation. I'm glad they're my tire people. They always take care of me. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable- no funny business-sales pitch, just honest information and advice on how to best keep your vehicle running on safe tires. I had the pleasure of watching a customer get upset about waiting 1.5 hours to find out nothing could be done to help his vehicle. When the Discount employee inquired why the wait and added some sentiment the guy said he arrived at 9am for a 10a appointment. The Discount employee responded with the appointment was for 10a and it was now only 30 minutes past so they kept to their estimated service time. The guy responded by going on about how important his time was. The Discount employee remained professional and apologized and reiterated how the appointment works and if a customer decides to arrive an hour early, it's fine but the appointment is at the time scheduled. Extremely dissatisfied at the service I have received. Back in April of this year I was sold and purchased back tires for my car. My car is rear wheel drive and they suggested I switch those out to be safe. Today they tell me they did not switch out my back tires at all. They changed the front one. And the employee said there's nothing he could do since he has only been working here less than a year. This is not customer service. We put trust that you are doing the work we paid for. Pulled into the bus and was surprised to see a tire pressure station in the front of the shop. I got in line and an employee put air in my tire after checking to see what the pressure should be. I would like to lead off with that I would be willing to give Discount Tire another chance, but not at this particular location. I've had many people recommend Discount Tire overall for tire replacement services. It looks like the install was done well with no problems. I have no issues with the technicians at this location. The one technician I briefly interacted with was very cheery and bright too. However, I was not enthused by the front desk representative. I made my appointment online and paid for everything beforehand. I was given a call by one of the representatives letting me know that since the tires I wanted were in stock and in store, I could come in earlier if I would like. I did appreciate the heads up, but my schedule didn't work out to come in even earlier. I did think, "Wow that's so nice of him to let me know though! What great service." However, I wasn't so happy when the representative then tried to get me to purchase even more expensive tires for my car. I was already replacing all 4 tires. The representative said it was recommended to go OEM for the tires for my car. Although I appreciate the sentiment, I already had my tires replaced in the past with a set that were not OEM either. My vehicle was fine with them. I politely declined once, he tried to push the upsell again, I politely declined again, and then he dropped it. I would like to be clear that I wasn't cheaping out on my tires in the first place either. With how I use my car, I felt it would be overkill to get the most expensive set that he was trying to sell me. When the day arrived for my appointment, I checked in online, and drove to the location. No one was manning the front desk for 10-15 minutes because it looked like they were busy. This is fine. Places get busy. I recognized the voice of the same man on the phone earlier. He acknowledged me after seeing me for the third time to let me know that he would be with me shortly. I was the only customer waiting at the time. When he was finally free, quite a few customers had shown up and were waiting in line behind me. He proceeded to ignore me even though I was first in line and asked who was in line first. Every customer politely gestured that I was first. I was so disappointed because so many people raved to me about how great the customer service was at Discount Tire locations. This could have been an off week for this representative, but he left such an off impression on me that I would rather try a different location to compare. In the end though, my tires did get replaced and I was happy to have that at least done with no further issues. It also took a bit longer than estimated. I was told 45 minutes to an hour. I waited for an hour and 20 minutes with having set up an appointment prior. read more

I had a tire shredded, and had to order a replacement to get the same tire. Said they would call me the next morning (a Saturday) when the tire came in. Unfortunately they did not call and only after I called around noon did the guy say "oh, your tire just came in a half hour ago but we have been busy dealing with customers " - so that was disappointing. On the positive side they got me in and out in an hour, which was the time I was quoted. On checking the car when they pulled it up front I did not see the tire locking socket, and the guy had to go back to the bay to find it - this was very disappointing. Overall I would recommend this store (always get my tires at Discount Tires), but you have to be the squeaky wheel to get taken care of, and if you have tire locks always check to make sure they give you your special socket back! read more

Last Wednesday when I was coming home from work, I noticed one of my tires had lost a lot of air. After looking at the tire more closely, I saw a nail in it. I called the Discount Tire on McClintock and Warner as it is on my way home from work. I was leaving for Flagstaff the next morning And needed to get the tire fixed. Even though it was near closing time, the staff stayed open to repair my tire. They were courteous, professional, and efficient. I really appreciated such great customer service.! Got a flat and Discount happened to be right where I pulled off. A new tire was needed and the cost was prorated. Staff were friendly. Everything went fine until I noticed the grease marks!! First let me say I always come to Discount but I have never written a review. But today it was such an exceptional experience I wanted to share. Although I normally have pictures this time i don't. But visualize you pull up to the shop bay of Discount. All the techs are busy. Its 557pm and there are about 3 cars in each stall. I pull up and roll down my window and ask a young man (busy putting a cap on a new tire) could I get air in my tires. He looks at his clock and i say it's 5min to 6pm. The young man says well we closed about a hour ago but we are finishing up. I said ohhh I can come back Monday. The young man says what is the pressure I told him, and he said we can fill your tires now. I was super pleased at the courtesy and customer service this young man showed me!!! Exceptional!!! I have always gotten my tires from Discount because of the quality and also the customer service shown to me. And today was no exception!! Thank you Discount for hiring good people! I have been using them for about 25 years. I have never had an issue with them trying to force an expensive sale on me. I have never had that dodgy mechanic or car dealership feel here. Yesterday they pulled the millionth nail out of of my sons tire for me, patched and reflated it, without charge, they know they have my business. His two front tires are very close to the wear bar, it's plain to see. I asked if they would last until back to school time and they said for sure, just come back then. When pricing tires they will swivel their monitors around, show you your options and have (for me) recommended a cheaper set of tires after asking how I use my car. read more

This was my first visit to this location, though I have been dealing with Discount Tire for something like three decades with nothing but very good experiences. I scheduled an appointment for 2pm, and was there a few minutes early. I took the car in for a tire rotation and balance with the free alignment check. When the rep and I went to inspect the car, I asked them to inflate the tires to 36 psi. He told me that the two-piece lugnuts are swollen, and said that they can replace them for $80 (a full set of lugnuts costs $30-$35 at AutZone). I declined that service. He asked if I want to pay $89 for an alignment, if the alignment check reveals a problem. I declined. (I didn't want to invite a problem that wasn't evident before I drove in.) At 2:30, I was still looking at my car occupying the parking space I chose. Around 5 minutes later it was in the bay getting worked-on, in clear view from the waiting room. About 15 minutes later, it was driven to the front of the store, and the employee came to give me the key fob so I could leave. I asked him whether the alignment check had revealed anything. He apologized and explained he'd forgotten about that. He parked the car, and I went back inside to wait. 10 minutes later I told them I had to go, and they returned my keys. I checked the tire pressures as I drove away, looking at the instrument panel. The pressures were unchanged from a day, a week, two weeks before my visit. Not sure if it's just this location, but I spent nearly an hour there with only two-of-four items addressed. And a couple of upsell attempts. read more

We not only needed tires but we wanted to upgrade the wheels and discount always has tire and wheel packages available. Sergio helped us with a new set of Michelin's and a sharp looking set of wheels. We had to order the wheels but they showed up within two days. Discount Tire offers appointments and that is the best way to save time when buying tires. The price we paid was reasonable and Sergio found us an immediate rebate on the tire portion as well. I scheduled the installation appointment & the entire process took less than an hour. If you need tires or related services this is where you need to go. I visited the Tempe store on McClintock and was helped by Zach, whom I also need to note gave me solid advice as to what kind of wheel and tire would be best for my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD prior to even going to the store. I showed up at 5pm, they were packed, but everyone there was working like a well oiled machine and pumping out cars at the entrance much faster than I imagined. In barely over an hour my truck looked completely different w a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W's on brand spanking newly released Vision Manx 2's. All the guys working there have been wonderful, very conscious of the coronavirus and having you pull the vehicle in yourself so they don't even get inside.
