I had a hole in my tire today. The first place I went saw a blonde in a BMW and told me I needed two new tires. Mine are not even a year old. He said you can not repair a run flat tire. This didn't sit right with me. I left and since I have the best bmw salesman at Gebhardt, Dave K, he got right with me and said yes you can, and it should not cost more than $15! This location has the worst service. After many years and 6 new sets of tires, they don't even take the time to explain anything. They just try to sell you new tires. I have news for them, I called another location close by and they helped me. Yes I stilled had to buy new tires but the others location got me some money back from my warranty in order to offset it as well as they explained everything to me. Now that is what I call service! Never had a problem with them until today. Went in for the yearly rotation and was told that I had to buy new ones. The tires have 35,000 miles on them after 2 years and they are a 60,000 mile tire. Asked why as there is still tread left and the tires are way under the 60,000 mile warranty, I was told either I replace tires or forfeit the warranty on the current tires. Really??? Apparently these guys don't know what their doing!! I had my sister bring in my car to put on my summer tires and I have a RWD car. They put my rear tires in the front and my front tires in the rear. When I got my car back I noticed the tires were rubbing in the front and the steering wheel was shaky. They obviously are not educated well enough about RWD cars. Turns out they didn't bother to balance my summer tires which is suppose to be a normal service they provide when switching off tires. read more

Great service and very polite. My wife had a troublesome slow tire leak that I couldn't figure out. The wild thing was these guys couldn't find the leak either, even after submerging the tire in water, but they were understanding and acknowledged that they believed her. Despite them not finding anything they went ahead and replaced the valve stem in the offending tire and smoothed around the rim to try and get the tire seated perfectly. They didn't charge us a dime for the service and the tire hasn't leaked since. Just goes to show what being thorough can accomplish! I know for a fact that most tire service centers would have sent us packing as soon as the tire didn't show any leaks in the water dunk test. I've shopped and so many discount tires and have been a loyal customer since I started driving but I purchased warranties on all my tires and my girlfriends tires but one tire got in really bad shape but they wouldn't replace it because it was worn which I was ok with but then when she went back to get a new tire nobody would cut her any kind of deal and I've always had deals on tires that I've purchased from discount but this location wouldn't do anything for her. I think I might switch all my business to Les Schwab or a different company. read more

I am definitely pleased, and these guys have certainly earned a customer's business under circumstances where most wouldn't have even acknowledged my presence (running in, needing a flat fixed, literally 1min before closing time, 5:59pm!). I drive a company vehicle, and I we only allow a handful of shops touch them; Discount Tire is one. I knew this would be their chance to stand out well-above Goodyear, and all the other "names," (I deal with small, family-owned shops out of preference). Well, they did JUST that, plus more! Where each of two trips to Goodyear resulted in my having to purchase a new tire(s) WELL before needed (elsewhere at that, so that's a 100% loss for needlessly BS'ing me). Discount Tire, however- tire was removed, patched up, tire sensor handled accordingly, and back on the road in half an hour! The fact that they also did the same for my girlfriend awhile back-- business earned! This is the type of Service we ALL MISS, since overall quality of such work has significantly declined in the past five years... It often presents difficulties when showing up in a fleet vehicle, as folks LOVE to assume that they can drum up a bill, ultimately charging the owners as opposed to the driver of the vehicle (but you never know when both parties are the same; as in this case!). Highly recommend, hands-down, as I now know my go-to, #1-suggested shop for ALL our other vehicles! Great move on their part. Highly appreciated...oh, and ya know what? They didn't even charge me! I got my wheels here about 5 years ago and they did an amazing job with a fair price. Definitely the best deal in the area. Quick service and super friendly. Last year I ran over a screw and my tire was going flat. I went in thinking I'd pay 10 bucks or something, but since I was a returning customer they fixed it for free and that tire is still rolling strong! Today I went in to get my snow tires and wheels swapped for my summer tires and wheels (a little late right!) I called ahead and the guy said there would be no charge since all they were doing is swapping them out! I actually NEVER right reviews. However I feel I have to post this warning! I just visited this store, to purchase 4 new tires. After discussion with the Sales clerk, we agreed on 4 Pirelli tires @ 134.95 which were in stock and could be installed same day... after 45 minutes .. my auto was ready with 4 new tires. Upon completing my invoice I signed my visa receipt and went on my way. Upon reaching my home I notice I had 4 Yokohama tires INSTEAD of what I agreed on, and a bill for tires that were 145.00+. Upon calling and speaking with the manager, his response was, well you signed the invoice... which I had not. What I signed was my visa receipt. I did not get the invoice copy until after. Secondly he indicated I could return and get new Pirelli tires but they ran more like $149.00+++ . The issue here is not the necessarily the amount difference, but the fact that I was scammed and on top of it was blamed! Not once did they admit to being wrong or for making it right at the agreed upon price. That would have meant a lot more than... "come back and we will replace the tires with Pirelli, you want at the higher price once you select them and we order them!" By the way, I would think that a Vendor would be ecstatic that a customer had just spent close to $800.00 and would like that client to return.. NOT THE CASE! Shop at your own RISK! read more

Is this a total crap company? I called up in the phone for an appointment to fix my wheels ordered online. The shop salesman said the wait time would be 45 minutes. Once reaching there (within 5 minutes) shop salesman told me the wait time will be 1 hour 20 minutes. After waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes they said they would need another 45 minutes to fix it. Do we need to respect and give value to the discount to the business who does not respect customers time? Cancelled my order and left this junk place asap. Stay away from this shop. read more

I have been coming to Discount Tire over 14 years. I popped in today with a nail in my tire. I was told they would fix it but it would be one and a half hour wait. Every tire place in the world has a lane dedicated to just flats except this place. Considering that only one customer was waiting and I'm sure they had drop offs but thats just ridiculous. we went to get a nail out of a tire and these guys had the idea that the tire needed to be changed. and the rest of them needed to be changed too. they refused to patch the tube and change the tire, made us waste an hour of our time, and sent us with the spare. We took the tire to a tire store down the street, got it fixed immediately, and were told that the tires had a least a year left of life in them. these guys were trying to pull a fast one, and we did not appreciate that, hence our poor review of this store. read more

Took my previous set of tires to be rotated and balanced. Waited in line behind a single mother having tire repaired. They were giving her the hard sell on new tires which was putting her in high pressure situation. Finally my turn. After jibbing me for $65 for just a rotate/balance, I drove home and my warning light comes indicating incorrect pressures. They even have the correct pressures for my truck printed on the receipt. 60psi on front and 80psi on rear. They switched them and didn't even check the tire pressure. For $65 bucks. This may sound insignificant to most, but if I didn't catch it after connecting up my 15,000lb trailer and headed down the highway, it would of been catastrophic. Stay away. read more

I had my car towed because of my flat tire. I had to get all four of the tire sensors replaced along with my spare tire. I was shocked that someone from a big company like this, could be so nice and generous. He also wrote comments on my paperwork, incase missing work would be an issue. (Because of my flat tire) The guys working on the cars are great too and really know what they are doing. As I was waiting, I was watching the other employees and how they talked and treated the customers. All of them were VERY nice and professional. I have never seen better customer service anywhere!! If there is ZERO STAR option, I would picked it. This discount tire location was ridiculous. I have always been a loyal customer at Discount Tire store, especially the one on 84th & Pecos. I went into this location to have a nail removed on my tire. The nail was about 2 cm in diameter. That should not be a problem to plug up. After half an hour of wait, the guy came out and said after we enlarged the hole and tried to fix it, the hole is too big and it's un-repairable. You need to purchase a new tire. WTF. The tire still has at least 5000 miles on it. I had them put the spare back on. I took the tire to BIG-O tire the next day and they said there's nothing wrong with the tire. Big-O put me back on the road in less than 15 mins with FREE of charge. Thank you Big-O Tire. Discount Tire on 104th, you will never get a dime out of me again. What a scam! read more

Thank you for an amazing experience! I was there when the store opened on a beautiful Saturday morning as was about 10 other people. Even though there was a line, I felt it was handled in a timely & professional manner. I am a service consultant at a large Honda dealer in town which makes me over critical of any automotive experience. With that being said, I have nothing to criticize. I thought the service experience was above and beyond. I needed my front tires balanced due to a shimmy at higher speeds. They got my Acura completed in 30 minutes and to my surprise for free!
