My tire light came on so I drove to my favorite Discount Tire location, the one in Vista. It shares a parking lot with Home Depot, so there is plenty of room. Also if I need a repair, I can walk to the Depot and have something to do while the work is being performed. Discount tire is the best. FREE tire rotations. Will fill up your tires for FREE too. Great prices. They have me as a customer for LIFE. I recommend calling in advance to book an appointment for the tire rotation so you don't have to wait too long. They said an hour, but only took 30 mins. I had a flat tire that another place said I needed a new tire for. I took it to DT and they patched it up! I think they did it for free too, but it was a while ago and don't remember. I called them very last minute being out of town from Los Angeles and told them that my tires were bald and they squeezed me in very last minute: They finished everything within an hour, including placing four new tires and an alignment... no other tire place would take me this last minute and I have to drive back up tonight. Every other car person told me that two of my tires were fine and two were going to need replacing soon and the manager on staff today saved my life by making me aware of the fact that my tread was almost completely gone from all four tires! Came in Thanksgiving week for new tires, they said they could probably do alignment given its a volkswagon with 2hr estimate They kept my car for 5 hrs and at 5pm told me they couldnt do the alignment, even though thats why i picked this shop to buy the tires from (since their website and manager told me they do alignment). I needed to drive the following day for Thanksgiving so it would have been nice to know they couldnt do alignment as i wouldn't have purchased tires from them. They responded with rudeness when i called them out for having a sign that says they cant do VWs, and lying to me to sell me tires. Really scummy behavior on their part and the manager was nothing but rude in return. Fast forward 1 month one of the tires blew out (diff branch botched the repair), and these guys were entirely unhelpful getting it fixed. Would not recommend discount tires or any affiliates for your tires needs. This branch is particularly rude and always late when returning your vehicle. On both visits, they haven't started on my vehicle until i ask status and then i see them go grab the key and bring it to the shop, as if no one was aware they could work on then next car. I love this Discount Tire!! my husband and I always buy our tires from Discount Tire and they never disappoint. One of my tires would not air up in thought it was an error on my part but I took my car to Discount Tire to have it checked out. Jacob was happy to help me and had me pull up to the Air Station. Jacob inspected the tire in question and realized the valve core was broken. He replaced the broken part and aired up the other tires to be sure I was safe. All this for free because I had purchased my tires from Discount Tire. What a tremendous value and peace of mind. read more

I got Tires from the Poway location and was sent to the Vista Melrose location for a wheel alignment. This is a very efficient location. This place was packed and yet all the clients were serviced in a timely manner and left with smiles on their faces. This is the ONLY location that does wheel alignments. Will and Luis are great problem solvers and they stay moving caring for the customers. They move fast all whilst listening and tending to the customers concerns. Very impressive. Aidan was technician that took care of my vehicle and did an outstanding job. Everyone knows that Tesla isn't an easy vehicle to service. Aidan knows his stuff. Ismael is the humble manager that works just as hard as all the staff getting customers needs met in a timely manner. Thank you guys for taking care of me. I went to Discount tire expecting someone will pay attention and will assist me with my concern - Uhmm, nope. I got point yo one direction to another. I came in last week, as a walk-in, and they said the wait would be 2 hours. Since I had other obligations to tend to that day, I said I'd come back. I went back yesterday, in the rain, but I guess everyone else thought it would be EMPTY since it was pouring outside... it was very busy, and I was told it would be 3 hours of waiting. So I decided to make an appointment. I came in during my appointment knowing I had a puncture in one tire, but after the initial inspection, it made clear sense to get 4 new tires. So I was able to get another set of brand new tires that were perfect for my car. The value you get at this specific location is unlike the others! I wish I knew everyone's names... but Colby helped me last week, Jonathan helped me right when I came in this morning, and everyone else just operated so seamlessly together. They make sure each client is well taken care of, and is informed throughout the entire process. Altogether I think I spent an hour there, which I was prepared for. Since there were other people's cars who were in front of mine :) -- I just waiting inside, which is a nice open space, and the chairs are comfy. I've been coming here for several years. They are consistently providing fast service- very efficient, very professional, and knowledgeable. I don't feel like they are trying to sell me something I don't need. As part of their service, they provide free air checks and flat service for purchased tires. So I've been here several times when my car's tire pressure warning light comes on. They've checked the pressure, the surface of the tires to ensure there is no damage, and have reset the tire warning light. They've squeezed me in at the end of the day and make it seem effortless. You can buy tires at lots of places, but it's the service that makes the difference. read more

I made an appointment and was quickly checked in by a very friendly employee for a set of four EV Pirelli tires on my Tesla. The process took about 30 minutes. Everything was great until we arrived home. As we were admiring the tires we noticed that three matched and the fourth did not. It was a completely different tire. And one of my rims was damaged in the process. Monday morning I called and spoke to the manager. His response was "Oh wow!" He said it can be taken care of at any location. He looked one up for me and found that they had 7 tires in stock and wrote a note for the other location. His explanation was that "maybe the tire tech just grabbed the wrong tire, it happens, it's human error." It's unfortunate to have to write this, but if it helps others as a reminder to check all the tires and make sure they all match. I do have to say that the tire techs at both locations were courteous , friendly, and welcoming, but sadly this "human error" caused an inconvenience for my husband and I. After paying so much for the tires, we had to make another appointment and head over after a long day at work. read more

Had 4 tires put on my car drive home 5 mins down the street tires were great. Next morning my usual commute to school and car suddenly overheating, engine lights are on I check my coolant tank and absolutely no fluid. A coincidence? Highly doubt it. I'm a single mom recently in remission from cancer and buying tires wasn't easy now I have to take my car in to have it looked at. Will not go to this location ever again.
