    I would like to thank Eric and the crew at Firestone for taking care of my daughters Jeep. After purchasing a older Jeep for my 16 year old daughter from jack Powell we have had nothing but issues. Having the Jeep at the dealerships service department for two weeks and them saying that they fixed the brakes to have them still not working/squeaking the same day we picked it up. Was fed up with the dealership, so brought it to Firestone where Eric found the problem right away and fixed it within a day along with a few other things. Ty so much Eric! Brakes are good and no more nosey sounds. Thank you for being honest and fixing our issues.

    A few days ago I dropped my car off for an oil change near my work. They said it would done by 5:00. I got there at about 5:10 and they said they hadn't even started on it yet. I told them I had to leave, pick 2 kids up from 2 different locations and couldn't wait. The guy behind the counter told me he was sorry and they were understaffed that day and offered to let me use his own personal vehicle to go pick up my kids then come back. I explained to him why that wouldn't work, and took my vehicle and left, still making another appointment to have the oil change done 2 days later. As planned I dropped my vehicle off at 8AM then walked to work. When I picked it up that evening something unexpected happened. I was presented with an invoice for a premium oil change, a filter change, and a top off of all my fluids ranging over $200. But my bill was zero. I was confused, then was told all services were on the house due to my inconvenience. I had budgeted for this service on my car and this extension of kindness and customer service made a big difference for me, so much that I instantly started to cry. I told the cashier, Manny I was a single mom with 2 kids and I really appreciated what they had done for me, especially not expecting it. The cashiers eyes watered along with mine - Empathy, the biggest, most natural emotion that we share amongst each other. I walked out to my car, Election Day, feeling once again completely amazed and restored deep within my bones on the true high; that of humanity, and got into my car and looked over and saw this.

    On September 9th of 2022 i purchased 4 Bridgestone Tires from Store #793861 from Manny Conde the Sales Manager and spent 2-full hours and a total of $1,074.84 on a Bridgestone Tire Package. The wait was long and it was one of the slowest experiences i've ever had. As I walked in the door Manny was on the phone for a solid 5-minutes with me standing in front of him and he did not acknowledge me or say "I'll be right with you". After close to 2-hours I left, and the deal was that i could come back when i needed my next oil change and Manny said it was FREE along with my 10,000 mile tire rotation and wheel balance. **Fast Forward to May 23, 2023- I scheduled my free oil change and tire rotation in the morning and now that i am in the shop they are not honoring my FREE oil change and after looking at the purchase invoice, I paid an extra $67.96 for Lifetime wheel balances. So basically the free oil change was not honored and the free tire rotation and balancing cost was $67.96- already paid and priced into the original package. What is really disappointing is the fact that they would not honor what they said (it was not added to the Final Invoice in writing) and they made me feel like it was my fault for not holding on to the managers (Manny's) business card. The Service Advisor made a few calls to Manny and Eric Waller, the other service manager and they would not honor the oil change. As a new customer I will more than likely never come back as well as never recommend any of my friends, neighbors, family and literally thousands of social media contacts to this place. As a matter of fact I am going to go out of my way to make sure that no one i know ever spends a dime at this place. I was in the shop for 1-hour and 10 minutes and with 5 people working and 3-bays open it took them about an hour and 5 minutes to do a 30-minute tire rotation (average time) with zero customers waiting. What do these people do in the shop? They did not clean my truck or do anything extra. **If you want to wait a long time- Go there **If you want good quick service- don't go there **If you want high prices and slow service and fake promises- go there. Basically I would not go there if I was looking for a good deal on tires and wanted good customer service. signed-a disappointed former first time customer!

I took it to Honda for a second opinion and repair. My main concern is the lack of documentation. Each time I've come in for a tire rotation, I haven't been given any paperwork confirming the service was completed. As a customer, that's important--not just for tracking maintenance, but also in case any issues ever come up down the line. Since they are registered with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), I would expect consistent invoices or service records for every visit. It would also be reassuring if they followed up on previously identified issues, like checking whether the control arm concern had been addressed. Overall, they've been a reliable shop for us, but improving communication and providing proper documentation would go a long way.

They even scratched one that wasn't a problem! They are so unprofessional, I had never taken my car out of the dealer and the first time I do they scratch my rims terribly. Not only did they scratch a rim that wasn't supposed to be touched because that wasn't where the flat tire was, they also messed up the lock on my tire. They messed it up so bad , that I went back to the dealer and they had trouble taking it off. They also tried to scam me with prices, they are so expensive. First, they said over the phone while a male coworker was talking after letting them know the size of the tire I need that it would be around 65 dollars when I get there a woman , they say 85 and all of sudden, my coworker who is a male comes along , it is 75. They change up their prices so so much. They all seem so sketch , they are very sketchy with their work and how they handle their business. Also , the older man was very very rude, he was scolding at me for calling at like 7 am because they ACTUALLY open at 7:30 am and not 6:30 am like it says on here and on google maps. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!! If you are a girl , you will probably get scammed with prices just like the other girl got scammed with the 700 tires and also they wanted to charge me over 180 for a used tire that doesn't cost that online and for breaking a lock on my tire , ruining and scratching my rims and one lock. After an hour, the service manager recommended two front tires, a brake fluid exchange, a coolant flush, and an air filter package. Despite the mileage on the car, I agreed to the additional work, essentially rewarding their upsell with several hundred dollars in extra business. The reward for my cooperation was total neglect. Between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, I watched my RAV4 sit untouched in the service bay. At 11:00 AM, the manager told me it would be "another hour." I reluctantly waited, only to find my car still aloft at noon--no tires mounted and no fluids changed. It was only after I voiced my frustration that the mechanics finally began to work. They seemed far more interested in hitting their vape sticks and jamming to blaring industrial music than completing a job for a waiting customer. I finally got my keys back 3.5 hours later. When I questioned the delay, the manager claimed that two tires and fluid exchanges is a "three-hour job." As someone who grew up working on cars with my Dad, I know that is absolute nonsense. In a professional shop with the right equipment, that work does not take three hours--unless, of course, the staff is lollygagging at the pace of a snail pulling a bobsled. What is the purpose of a 9:00 AM appointment if the vehicle is ignored for the first two hours of that window? I was billed the most, yet served last. The unprofessional atmosphere and the "distracted" nature of the technicians also make me question if safety-critical tasks, like my brake fluid and tire mounting, were even performed with the necessary precision. I have been a loyal customer of Pep Boys for years, but the appalling attitude and lack of work ethic at this San Marcos location has me rethinking that loyalty. You didn't just lose my afternoon; you've likely lost a long-time customer.
