    Journey Tracker doesn't work.

    Over 4 hours! That was how long I waited from the time this Discount Tire location checked me in to the time they finally brought my car went in to replace a full set of tires. It is by far the longest wait time I have ever experienced in my 20-year history as a customer of this business. Before that, the longest wait time I ever had at Discount Tire was almost two hours. My vehicle inspection was two months away, necessitating the replacement of tires. When I arrived at Discount Tire, there was a 5-minute wait line before a staff member checked in my car at 1:38pm. Since I wasn't planning to keep the car for more than 12 months, I opted for the cheapest set available. Then he accompanied me to the car to record mileage and conditions of tires. After I handed over the car key to him, all the seats in the waiting area were taken. I waited for at least one minute for a customer to leave, and took the newly vacant seat. As I waited, I saw numerous cars showed up afterwards but were brought in before mine. The hours went by. Mine was still parked outside waiting to be serviced. From time to time, the staff left the Customer Service List screen open. I'm guessing "C-F1" to "C-F4" refer to the space number in the bay areas where the technicians worked. I periodically took photos of it. Waiting was a drag, so I went outside periodically. What I saw was disappointing. This Discount Tire shop has three large bays. The bay closest to the office was serving only one car at a time; the middle bay was serving two cars half the time, and one car half the other time; the third bay wasn't used at all during the entire time that I was there. Imagine how much the wait time could have been shortened had the third bay been utilized for service even at one car at a time. There were enough technicians to make it work. Instead, the staff chose to operate at 2.5 out of 4 capacity. From time to time, customers were standing around because there were no seats available. To make matters worse, there were no refreshments other than the water dispensers by the restrooms. Speaking of restrooms, there were no toilet papers in the men's. I had to use paper towels to wipe myself. Take a look at the "Average Wait Time" on the Customer Service List at 3:14pm. It shows "62.7", presumably in minutes. That number is deceptive because it was a running average of all customers that were currently waiting. It did not take into account the entire wait time of each customer from start to finish. My car wasn't serviced until 5:40pm. When work was finished, the time was 6pm. Total time: 4 hours and 22 minutes! I must mention a service feature that didn't work. After my car was checked in at 1:38pm, I received a text message telling me how to track the status of my vehicle. It included a link that opened to a web page called Journey Tracker supposedly to monitor the status of the service. Despite periodically refreshing the page numerous times throughout the 4.5-hour wait, it kept saying, "OOPS! Something went wrong. Try refreshing the page in a few moments." At 6pm, I received a text message telling me that my vehicle was ready. You'd think that Journey Tracker would be updated as well. Nope. It still showed "OOPS! Something went wrong. Try refreshing the page in a few moments." Notice that the 6pm text mentioned that Discount Tire's closing time at 6pm on Mondays through Fridays. I wonder how long the remaining customers had to wait for their cars to be ready. Given what I had seen, probably till 7pm or later. I'd give this Discount Tire shop a 1.5 star because the work was satisfactory, though they should offer some kind of discounts or concessions for the long wait. I know I won't be coming back to this location again.

    Set up an appt online several days ago for today at 11:30am to have my tires rotated and balanced. Arrived 10 mins early, checked in on the app, went to the service desk where Ricky stated they should have me out in 45 mins to an hour, but no guarantees since they had a lot of double-booked appointments! Next, he proceeded to show me on the chart in the store how I'm getting close to needing 2 new tires ("they're in the yellow zone", he said) and by the next time I come in I almost certainly will need 4. The car has 14k miles on it and this was obviously setting me up for the sales pitch "next time". Anyway, at 12:20pm, with the app still stating completion expected at 12:18 pm and the car still untouched, I asked Cortland for my keys back which he surrendered without a question as to why. I guess they're used to people bailing due to management practices. Up until today this was my go-to tire store and even recommended it to friends and family, but no more. Discount Tire lost a customer today, but I doubt they care.

    After getting a tire rotation my tires still need air in them. Isn't that supposed to be checked before I get on the highway? Super annoyed.

They serviced my car then stated "oh this isn't the location where you had the first initial service done" then stated that I had to pay $91 before they would release my vehicle. Called over to corporate and they were closed. Joseph stated that he spoke with corporate and they told him not to release my vehicle without payment.

To end my story, I drove across the street to O'Reilly's and bought a plug kit and 12V air compressor. I fixed it myself in their parking lot but they did offer to help. I had new wheels put on my SUV last weekend and had an appointment at Firestone a few days later to get them aligned. This place is within walking distance of my office, so I figured I could drop it off on my lunch hour and then walk back, then walk back after I got off work at 5 to pick it up. I walked in and no one greeted me for a few minutes even though there were 3 advisors available. Finally, one greeted me and I gave him my key fob and walked back to work. Less than 30 minutes later, my car was ready. Fishy. I'll preface by saying I work in the automotive industry so this was a little too fast for a wheel alignment, especially given how full the shop was when I left. Not only was it weirdly fast, but they charged me $130 for less than 30 minutes of work! Absolutely insane with their price-gouging. Yeah I won't be back here.
