Employees smoking ecigs and the alike under car, "employees" according to other staff out of uniform and in unregulated attire..6 staff members according to them all doing seemingly nothing while 4 cars sit being untouched. If these are in fact employees; seems very poorly managed that employees are smoking around cars and welding, full legs and arms are exposed, no eyewear and they are leaning their whole body weight up against my car while suspended. Went in for a simple tire puncture repair and once the car got into the repair bay, it took over an hour. This process normally takes about 25 minutes, but the rep said it takes over twice that long because corporate management forces them to do a comprehensive inspection of the car to see if they can find any issues to upsell the customer for more money. That wasted a lot of my time for nothing. They should just do what the customer asks them to do and not waste our time. read more

Had my oil changed and upon receipt noticed a faint knocking sound not present when I dropped it off. I ignored my intuition and continued driving the car until it got much worse. I told my friend who used to be a mechanic and he said check the dipstick. We did. I even had him video for evidence and discovered it was bone dry. I went back to the store and they arranged a tow. Later they called and said the oil was full and I needed a new water pump. I refused service and asked for my car back but they refused until I paid the tow bill. I didn't want to argue. I had video evidence but the manager said it didn't matter. He pretty much said I was wrong. I'm 55 years old and have been checking my oil since 16. Im not gonna go any further. I got a flat tire on a Sunday when not many repair shops are open. Thankfully Mr. Tire was. I called and explained that I needed the tire patched and put back on my vehicle. Dan was very friendly over the phone and told me that I could come in at 4 pm to get it taken care of. Upon arrival, I was greeted the minute I walked in the door. The check in process was quick. They had my tire patched and back on my vehicle in 30 minutes for under $25. Very pleased with the service and the price. I'll be bringing my vehicle back for service in the future. read more

My car was running fine. Part of its routine 60,000-mile maintenance was to change the brake fluid. In March 2020 I took it to Mr. Tire, who said they worked on Lexuses. Mr. Tire had trouble. Somehow, they explained, the brake fluid reservoir sensor had been mis-handled while changing the brake fluid. They kept my car for hours and eventually suggested taking it to the Lexus dealer. When they returned car to me, Tim, Mr. Tire's service manager, told me that this specific issue was a Lexus design problem: changing the brake reservoir typically resulted in the brake reservoir sensor having issues. Tim also told me that his mechanic, Chris, had successfully disconnected the brake sensor warning light and that my vehicle was perfectly safe to drive. But, when I got into my car, I almost couldn't start it. You had to slam the brake pedal down hard to get the car to turnover; and the engine light and traction control "off" warning lights came on. The cruise control no longer worked. Nevertheless, Tim looked me in the eyes and told me my car was road worthy. I could not get an appointment at dealer until after weekend, so I drove the car for the next 3 days. The Lexus dealer found the O-ring to the brake master cylinder sitting at the bottom of the brake reservoir and that the brake reservoir assembly (including the sensor) had been damaged. They took photos of the damage. Lexus told me that I was lucky that my brakes had worked for the last 3 days; I had been driving a car that was an accident waiting to happen. Lexus repaired the brakes and replaced the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly, so now the car starts easily (as it did before I ever took it to Mr. Tire) and the car runs smoothly without any warning lights on my dashboard. Mr. Tire took a smoothly running car and damaged it doing a routine maintenance job, and in the process, exposed me unnecessarily to danger. read more

What was supposed to be a 1 hour job, with an early morning weekend appointment, ended up being 4-1/2 hours of my day. First the mix up with the tire sizes - nobody (myself included) realized my car had staggered tire sizes and different sized rims on the front/rear axles. Nobody's fault I guess. In the meantime, while sitting in the waiting area, I listened to the store manager tell customers "There's no money in tires" numerous times in order to avoid getting beaten down on the price, and I don't blame him, that's okay because a store is in business to make money and be profitable and put food on the table. That is, until I got pulled into the back to look at the brake lining on my Z. Next thing I knew I was being presented with what seemed like an astronomical quote for new brakes, rotors, sensors, a brake flush and seemingly more for my Z. I could see plainly the car was going to need new pads etc. in the near future, however, after hearing about how the company can't make money doing tires I became very skeptical about the pricing on the brakes and decided to get a second opinion from someone who specializes in BMW's. You see, the thing about some of these BMW's (like mine) is the brake sensor. Once that sensor alerts the driver to the brakes needing to be replaced, one still has about 2000 miles (give or take depending on the driver and their style of driving) before the car is dangerous to drive. The sensor had not lit up yet and I wasn't about to be pressured into making a quick decision to have the work done. A week or so later I received a coupon in the mail offering 10% off that quote - I thought to myself "Self? Why didn't they offer that discount at the time they gave me the original quote?"and I answered myself "Self, because it seems like they were trying to play off of a sense of fear and disaster to have me hurry up and get the job done right then and there and pay full price while it was still on the lift and the tires were already off of it." Let's go back to the manager's discussion in which he told a potential customer several times "There's no money in tires!" Apparently there's good money to be made in brakes. I ended up going to where I normally have my Z serviced and had the job done for nearly 30% less than I was quoted at Mr. Tire. So, the moral of the story isn't limited to this store - any place that tries to pressure one into making a quick decision by playing off of the potential for an immediate safety hazard is one I steer away from. I generally know my own cars (except I didn't know the rims were different on this one), I've been under most cars I've owned. I've worked on most of them, and I have them serviced regularly. I generally know when something is wrong with them, especially when it comes to brakes. I grew up fixing cars and farm equipment, my dad (a certified mechanic in another life) taught me how to do brake jobs and had me help him rebuild engines when I was very young. I knew what a torque wrench was long before a lot of today's auto tech's were a twinkle in their parents' eyes. Now, that's not to say I'm not happy with the tires they put on my car - I'm happy with that and the price they gave me on them. I do hope they made a little money on those. I'm a fan of their tire service, but I'm not a fan of how this last visit played out otherwise. read more

I started this review off 5 stars, but it quickly went down hill! I went in for tire rotation and balance and oil change. The Jared came out in the end saying my alignment was out and had already adjusted it. I was not informed this would be done or the option to decline, leaving me paying a huge bill, (which I agree was stupid to agree to pay). I go back to a local shop I trust and they fix my alignment saying it was out. I go back to Mr Tire and request a refund but Jared informs me he can not without his manager who will be back Monday. I go back Monday (next day) and explain the situation on how I requested the service but more was done and done without prior clearance with myself, and he tells me that he can NOT give me a refund in store as this can only be done same day. I go over more options and the manager files a report with corporate requesting a refund which might take 60-90 days. I'm sorry but this is a really shitty way to handle customer service. I can see if the stores are limited to refund in person, but operate being so slow to return payments for refunds and not guaranteeing this will be done at any time, that's crap. I'll be going to a third shop and getting a check on my alignment but I can not return to this Mr Tire location after the crap they've pulled on me. Please inform all workers on the register that they CAN issue a refund with a click of a button, don't have them talk to you next day where refund process is jumping through hoops! read more

Purchased a used vehicle in October 2017 and the tires were quite worn, but having just bought it, I didn't have the funds to get new tires right away and the original ones weren't horrible, just worn. I started looking in January for tires and prices. Looked at several different places and their price for tires. Most seemed to all be around the same price for the same mileage warranty. Until I found Mr. Tire online. I found a tire with a good warranty and reviews for a reasonable price. Snow was forecasted in the near future and I have a long drive to and from work, so I decided I needed to get them changed before the snow hit. I contacted the location nearest my work since there were no locations where I live at about 9:30am and asked if they had an availability that day at noon. The gentleman on the phone was very polite and asked what I needed done. I told him the tire that I was looking for and he couldn't find it in his system. He got my number and said he'd call me back. About five minutes later he called me back and said he found the tire that I was looking for, but they didn't have them at his location. So I figured I was going to have to pick another day which would be after the snow. He then said he could have someone go and pick them up from another location and to go ahead and come in at noon. I ended up getting there at 11:30, because I finished up with a meeting earlier than expected and thought they might be able to get me in sooner, but was prepared to wait if not. When I got there I found out that they were still in the process of getting the tires from the other location but that they would be there by my originally scheduled time of noon. I sat down to wait and saw them pull my vehicle in about ten minutes later. The gentleman at the desk said that they'd get started while waiting for the tires. Right before noon a man came in and told me he got the tires and I found out he was the gentleman I had spoke to on the phone. He was very professional and friendly as was the original gentleman I had spoken to when I got there. The mechanics started working on my car and while waiting I saw a sign with a deal on brakes. Not knowing what my breaks were like since I hadn't had the car that long, I asked about the special. He explained it and I asked if they could tell me if I needed them. He said they always check them when they take the tires off and would let me know. He said they also check the alignment. Since I'm female and have been exposed to many places trying to sell me services that I don't need, I was just interested in finding out their condition. I was surprised when they came back and told me that my front breaks looked practically new and my back ones were about half worn. He suggested in the next six months to have the pads replaced. The only extra service they brought to my attention was the alignment when they showed me a computer print out of. They explained the results and the cost and I agreed. While waiting for the alignment, I over heard one of the two men up front mention a TV show I watched as well to the other man at the desk. I am usually a very shy person and just tend to keep to myself, but I responded with my thoughts on the show and soon the two men at the desk and one other customer were chatting away (save for calls that came in) and I just felt like these guys had such a positive attitude and really made the usual wait go by quickly. I was actually disappointed when my car pulled up to the door ready for me to leave. Overall, I feel like the customer service here is top notch. They went out of their way at the last minute to help a customer. Didn't try to sell me a bunch of bull about other issues with the car that I should have them perform and I had a very pleasant wait. I highly recommend them and I will be bringing my service to them regularly. read more

I came in for an oil change and to check the air pressure on a single tire checked. One hour later I got a diagnosis as long as my arm about how nearly every thing on my truck needed replacement. I know the drill, it's how they make money. But I'll tell you, I'm not biting. Not only that but the one thing I asked them to check, they didn't till I asked them no less than 5 times. Not only that but AFTER I get the oil change the guy tells me he can't check the tire because it's too big for the tub. Why the hell did you say you could check the tire?? Did you just look at it?? It took us a while to find this place as we were going by the former address that was still listed in Google maps. With 30 minutes to spare before they closed on a Sunday, they still took our car to get an oil change. It took them 20 minutes to change the oil and rotate the car tires. They didn't go over anything that needed repair unlike other stores do. Can't beat the price of $20 if you have a coupon. The staff said that during football season Saturdays after 1 PM is pretty empty. Good time to go if you don't want to wait. read more

Most places are closed on Sunday and I noticed Mr.tire was open so I called to see how long the wait would be. I was told if I could get there within 30 minutes they could put the tires on as soon as I pulled up. My experience was terrible.On May 27, 2019 I purchased four tires with Mr.Tire.The technician who helped me at that time(M.Lunsford) said that I needed to replace my shocks before placing the tires on my car.I told him I would not be able to get that done that day but could get the work done later.He offered to store the tires at Mr.Tire.I agreed to do this .Although some time passed I returned to Mr.Tire to get the tires that were charged to my drive card.I was also charged for an alignment that was never done.When I did return to get the tires they said they no longer had my tires and they could not help me because the technician no longer worked there.After speaking to the current manager today (8/6/20 he said he could not help me and asked me to leave the store and said I was trespassing and also said that the corporate office was not going to do any thing to help me.I have never had such a horrible experience with any company.I was quite shocked that they handle some customers like this.In reality money was stolen from me, and I never received my tires.I was handled very unprofessional and mistreated. This location used to be decent. Several months ago management changed. Since then, all I heard from the guy at the desk was about the lazy jerks they had in the shop and he'd been cleaning them out since he took over. With my last service (oil change and tire rotation) I was told my engine air filter needed changing. My husband opted to do that at home. When we went to take the cover off, two of the screws were missing. When I went back to Mr. Tire to have them replaced, Nick found the screws in their housing broken off. He replaced them free of charge but I got the sense he thought we broke them... we did not. Today, I checked my right, front tire after noticing strange sounds. I am missing a lug nut and another nut was very loose. My husband had to tighten loose lug nuts on 3 out of my 4 tires. It seems the sloppy technician did not use the impact wrench to correctly finish the tire job. This company has lost my, and my husband's, business. Get any quote in writing and don't go unless you have a whole afternoon to spend waiting on them! One face to face quote, one over the phone. Price doubled "oh you wanted all 4 brakes done?" Let's see, "I need new brakes" - 4 wheels, yes? ( I wasn't asked front, back or both by the way) This news came after the car was up on the lift and apart. Should have left then - hind site. THEN had an 2:30 appointment and was told at 3:00 pm 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Called at 4:00 to be told "you just left 30 minutes ago" Nice. At 5:35 I finally got my car back.
