They do a nice breakfast. You have to deal with the parking garage but maybe that is better than street parking at most places. We stopped by on a Sunday morning. After you enter, pick up a menu and look through, making your selections and ordering at the cash register counter. It is a bit impersonal and again challenges the concept of tipping. You are given a number, and you have to gather your own drinks. The food order is brought out to you. Again, tipping is based on service and there is basically none, food delivery is not service. The Food was good and I would return after we try other Austin breakfast spots. You can see my pictures to see what we had.

Dish Society is a restaurant known for clean, intentional ingredients. I visited the South 1st location and there is parking available in the parking garage with 2 hours of validation. I ended up parking on the street. I had brunch at Dish Society and you can either order from a QR code on your table or order at the counter. I downloaded their app and initially was sent an offer for a free beverage. I ordered the Spiced Apple Cider and it hit the spot and was so warm and flavorful the perfect comfort beverage. For my breakfast entree I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, gulf shrimp, smoked gouda grits, tabasco shallot butter sauce, bacon crumbles, sunny side vital farms egg. I got the Tabasco sauce on the side and the grits had a great flavor and texture for a very savory and flavorful dish. I also came during the social hour and took advantage of $7 cocktails and ordered the spicy strawberry margarita with socorro tequila, paula's orange, jalapeño, strawberry, tajin. I used my free bday entree coupon from the app to order the Citrus glazed salmon to go. It had pan seared citrus glazed salmon with organic quinoa, tomato, red onion, avocado, citrus segments, & mint. I also added the quinoa stuffed avocado halves topped with organic citrus quinoa, tomato and onion, citrus segments, mint, & organic greens with white balsamic vinaigrette. The to-go food was packed securely and was still fresh to consume when I arrived at home. Service was attentive and friendly, the ambiance was inviting, and the menu has a great balance of indulgent dishes and lighter, health-conscious options. I already got a $5 off coupon through the app and am planning a return visit to try other appealing items from the menu.

Interesting idea to order your meal first in a line, then sit down. The actual food is pretty good. The only interaction you get with the server is when they bring you your food but otherwise that is it so I can't really comment much on service. Inside looks modern with nice touches of greenery with evenly space tables that doesn't feel too crowded. food quality and presentation is pretty good. I will definitely be back.

The orange juice here is soooooo good! Freshly squeezed. The chai tea latte was also great! I love that it's a casual spot where you order at the counter but still feels homey, service was friendly, and restaurant vibes. They also validate parking for the garage underneath so it's super convenient. Food prices. Good food. I highly recommend!

One of Dish Society's locations is on S First Street in Austin, TX in the Willa complex (other location at Mueller). The space is modern and inviting with its bright yellow umbrella tables. The restaurant has extensive indoor and outdoor seating and full-service bar with TVs for sports. There is also a walk-up window for coffee and "to go" orders. Dish Society also has complimentary parking. Dish Society is a farm-to-table café that sources most of its ingredients from Texas suppliers. The menu blends healthily with comfort food options. While Dish Society appears to have many food and drink offerings, we were at Dish Society to taste their Matcha. Of all the Matcha lattes we tasted today during the Matcha Half Marathon, Dish Society's Matcha lattes had the strongest Matcha flavor and the most robust taste. To me, Dish Society's Matcha would be at the strongest end such an Extra Dark Roast v Mild or Medium Roast coffee. Look forward to returning to try their brunch and lunch items...

Everything is very self-service here. Not a problem at all, just don't expect a server to attend your table. I came around 11:30 and the restaurant was pretty empty. For my lunch, I ordered the citrus glazed salmon as my entree. The salmon came beautifully prepared. It was perfectly crisp outside and tender inside. I was a little worried the dish would be too sweet or saucy, but that's not the case at all. Close to noon, the lunch crowd came and the restaurant got a lot busier. So come before noon if you can!

They validate parking for 2 hours in the garage. Ordering is at the counter inside, from your table with a QR code, or outside at the service window. Cocktail: The cinnamon apple mule was a perfect balance of apple cinnamon. I had the grilled pesto chicken sandwich which was yummy, even though I'm not the biggest fan of goat cheese. Order a side of fries with it, you won't regret it! Their iced lattes are really good as well and would recommend it. They have many syrup flavors you can choose from.

I thought this place was very delicious. You walk in and you order before you sit wherever you life. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The place is very open and Austin friendly. Pancakes were very delicious, sold separately from the traditional breakfast. The jam that came with the traditional breakfast 10/10, tastes homemade, absolutely delicious. Very nice restaurant to go with family and friends. They do offer 2 hour parking vouchers if needed, there is also street parking a couple blocks down behind the building!

I went for the first time this past Saturday and let me say the customer service was amazing! I let them know it was my first time there and the cashier was super friendly and helpful with the menu and options they had. They even gave me a little card to come back and get a free coffee after mentioning I WFH :) I ordered the Texas hot chicken sandwich and it was delicious! The chicken was perfectly coated and crispy and the fries I got on the side were also good. I would definitely to check out their other options, they also have tons of other shops around the area to you can check out while stopping by.

Dish Society was okay but nothing to get excited about. It was a busy morning and I thought they forgot about me for a few minutes but then once they took my order the food did seem to come out quickly. Most of the dishes I tried looked better on their website. I had the memorial trail scramble and thought it was just okay, the chicken was a bit dry and the eggs were just boring. The granola bowl which the server recommended was good. I also tried the texas pecan pesto pasta which was good. My favorite dish which I would get again was the seared chimi steak tacos - they were excellent. Dish Society is a good for young families and there were a lot of them that morning. One little boy was shooting his noisy plastic toy gun in my direction. Parents? Parents anyone? It's fine - I played with toy guns too when I was a little kid, but never in a million years would my parents have allowed them in a public place like that.

Solid brunch spot in Bouldin Creek. We split the banana pancake ($7.50) and the Southwest Scramble ($17). The portions are good and everything is well made and fresh. The vanilla cortado was also sweet and wonderful. It was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon. The interior is clean and bright and located on the bottom floor of an apartment complex. Order at the counter, take a number, and choose a table.

We've been to Dish Society SEVERAL times now -- for brunch, lunch, and happy hour -- and every single visit always has some sort of hit! The food here is fresh, local, and absolutely delicious, with so much care clearly put into every dish! The vibe inside is super cute, clean, and welcoming, with a small outdoor patio that's perfect for a sunny Austin day and even if Austin's weird weather comes into play part of the outdoor seating is also covered. When we've gone it's never felt overly crowded (except one time during a morning rush, but we can see why) and the customer service has been phenomenal every time -- from staff offering great recommendations to keeping tables spotless and making sure guests are happy. We've loved everything we've tried, but a few standouts have been the Texas hot chicken sandwich (crispy, juicy, sweet, and savory perfection), the smoked salmon avocado toast (so fresh and flavorful), ranch-style eggs, and the grilled pesto chicken sandwich. During happy hour, we grabbed the burger, some bites and drinks, with the burger for sure being a must -- and the team even offered to cut the burger in half since we mentioned we were sharing. Small touches like that go a long way! Their happy hour is also a great deal and definitely worth checking out. And if you've got a sweet tooth, don't skip dessert -- the Proud Pies they source from Houston are dangerously good. We still need to go back just to do a full pie tasting! The white chocolate pretzel bread pudding was warm, rich, and gave off total almond croissant vibes. Oh, and don't sleep on the mimosa flight -- or their Mug Club, where you can purchase a YETI at their location and get free coffee refills when you bring it in. Genius! All around, Dish Society is one of those rare spots that nails fresh, local food, great service, and good vibes every time. We highly recommend it! We'll be back, obviously!

If there's a place for amazing service, friendly workers, quality & quick food, and a cute location, then this is it. Walked in, and was greeted immediately with a friendly welcome. There was someone helping us through the line and he was extremely helpful in reserving a table and lifted the mood. The food came out quick and was great portions. I got the Grilled Pesto Chicken Sandwich and it was such a lovely balance of flavors. Easy to consume, not too heavy but still filling. I went with my two friends and they also had a positive experience. Will definitely return and would recommend!

Dish society might be my new favorite brunch spot. There is an ample amount of seating and it is well lit. I came early on a Saturday before the morning rush. I had a spicy strawberry margarita, which was refreshing. My partner and I ordered beignets for a sweet start. They were freshly baked and came with a delicious sauce. I only wish I had more. I ordered the breakfast skillet for a savory finish. The gravy gave the dish a great texture with the potatoes, sausage and eggs. The portion was quite large so I got to enjoy it at home as well. I, for one, support the expanding Dish Society empire. This is now their second location in Austin and sixth overall. I can't speak to the shops in Houston, but this new one has the edge of Mueller for their totally stress-free parking. Use the garage and get it validate for 2 hours, no muss, no fuss. Naturally, the thing that makes me want to drive the further distance is the food. They menu is careful to include options for everyone, spanning traditional brunch/egg dishes to Tex-Mex and a touch of the Mediterranean. The new Vegetarian (vegan by nature) Pita Wrap is a winner by any measure, with a soft flatbread swaddling tahini-rich hummus, crispy plant-based protein (I'm guessing a Beyond or Impossible patty?), and fresh veg and pickled onions that sparkle with mint and dill. You get all that an a pile of chips, literally. They're thick sliced kettle style and actually worth eating, not just some bulk plate filler. This is a great place to bring the family. Kids eat free every Tuesday, too! read more

Came in on a Sunday around 3ish. The food was amazing. I had the traditional breakfast which came with bacon, eggs, fruit and waffle. I substituted the waffle for pancake and added chicken. The chicken was forgotten however that was a simple miscommunication and it got resolved quickly. Ciza (I believe that was her name) and Nelly made the experience so much better. There was a girl with medium brown/blond hair whose attitude almost made me want to leave before placing my order. She was so irritated by either me or Ciza for asking questions about my order. Either way show some grace to both new employees and new customers. Nevertheless, the food was great. Overall not bad. Super chill place. Order at a counter and seat yourself. Staff is very nice Lots of food options. We ordered a ton to try as much as possible. We got all breakfast foods and even left with some pies. Tbh, I was not impressed with the overall execution. Food was good, don't get me wrong. But for the price you pay, I am not sure it was worth it. Thought the food was average on almost everything we ate. Was not a fan of the potatoes or the pancake. Coming back in to reiterate how amazing this place is! Every dish we've ordered has been incredibly fresh, creative, and delicious. Especially enjoying the cobb salad, caesar chicken salad, both vegan pastas are incredible (and I'm neither vegan, nor a pasta person), shrimp and grits, tomato basil soup, and the truffle mac and cheese (however, I do feel a lighter pasta option for the mac would be a better fit - can we make that happen?). I had family in town for 48 hours, and they wanted to eat here twice in two days! Dish Society is such a great lunch spot for some coworking or just an amazing meal. Rachel and I went to do both, we had some lunch and also did some coworking. Rachel ordered a salad with some salmon and i ordered the hot chicken sandwich with a side of truffle mac n cheese. This is genuinely one of the best dishes i've had at a new lunch spot recently, the chicken sandwich was HUGE and the filet was falling out of the sides from how big it was. Not only was the sandwich huge, but oh my gosh it was so yummy, it was sweet but spicy and incredibly flavorful. The truffle mac n cheese was also absolutely amazing, i was blown away by how good it was. It's creamy and flavorful but also has the crunchiness on top which adds a great texture. The service was fast and the restaurant was pretty empty for lunch time on a weekday, but i was surprised after i tasted how good the food was. Love this Place! There are a LOT of options on this menu! Lots to play with. Food is fresh and the pies are baked IN HOUSE. The mocktails are epic. (I don't drink alcohol so AWESOME!!!) I am a sucker for gluten free pancakes. They were winners!!! I wish they had real maple syrup but they team brought out honey for me and it made it all perfect. We sat outside and it was awesome! MARC was probably the best part of the experience. He came out and made sure we were 100% taken care of. He is the reason we felt this place so much. Service and ambience were alright. Food was mediocrity served at room temperature. My partner ordered the burger with a side of broccoli cheddar soup. The cheese in the soup tasted like it had turned, or on the verge of turning bad. Her burger was water, room temperature, and tasted old, with a spongy texture. I ordered the Ranch Style Eggs. They came out room temperature, with some warm parts in the middle. The brisket was bland, with most flavor coming from the salsa and hot sauce. 4.7 stars are not deserved. Food - 4 stars Service - 4 stars Ambiance -3.5 stars This is a cute little place. Good food, good menu offerings and friendly service. Seating is not very comfortable as it is mostly hard except for the very limited number of booths which are more communal type unless you have a larger party. We had the spicy chicken and biscuits with gravy. It was good and gravy was plentiful. We also had the brisket and eggs. This was delicious, but I ordered the eggs over easy and they were over hard. This is counter service only at this time. There is a QR code on the table that says you may order via the QR code, but it did not work. Coffee and sodas are also at a self-serve station. They serve a nice variety of coffee drinks and wine and beer. There is also a nice patio. Oh! And the best part is they validate for the attached parking garage! This is a huge bonus on S. 1st St. We will definitely return here whether it's for breakfast, brunch or lunch! read more

I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE! Okay, so, this is a super cool, non-pretentious, fresh, friendly, affordable, and stylish restaurant. Your date will think you are super smart and savvy. Food is locally sourced and very creative. I had the Super Salad and added crispy fried chicken. (To balance the health quality.) But next time, I'm ordering the Watermelon salad ... it has goat cheese, tahini, arugula, strawberries... dude! This place is super cool. Check them out. Oh, and I had a few of the alcohol drinks ... Lavender Blush, Spicy Strawberry Marg, and what was really great was the Bartenders Breakfast Shot, made of Jameson, maple syrup, cream, and espresso. I even made a video of it and sent it to my friends. The bill was only $50. Que magnífico! read more

Dish Society is one of my favorite restaurants, so I was excited to hear they're opening a second location in Austin. I checked it out during their soft opening, and everything was as amazing as expected. I decided to branch out and try some new things, so I ordered the Salmon Avocado Toast which turned out to be practically an entire salad on top of some avocado toast! I added an egg to the top, and the combination of salmon, cream cheese, avocado, egg, arugula, onion, and whole grain bread worked together deliciously. I'm not really an avocado toast person. I actually don't think I've had it before. It just sounds boring. But this one was anything but boring, and worth ordering! I also tried their watermelon salad, which I'll have to replicate at home, possibly to take as a side dish to our next church potluck. The watermelon, strawberries, greens, cheese (goat or feta?) and vinaigrette made a good, unexpected combination. Of course I also had to get one of their browned butter chocolate chip cookies. All the staff was extra helpful and friendly. I sat outside and watched the world go by on South First street. They have a nice covered patio area with tables and even some comfortable chairs, along with their normal inside dining room. It helps to know they validate parking at the attached parking garage, but since I wasn't aware of this, I parked about a block away on the street. I'm not sure if I'll end up going to this location or their Meuller location more, but it's nice to have this option! read more

Ambience and location is nice and the staff were friendly. Our food was just okay, nothing bad but the omelette did have a bit of a strange aftertaste, maybe from the oil used? The coffee however was not good at all. I was surprised they only have 2 bathrooms for the size of the place. We tried to use the code given for the parking validation and it did not work. I went back in, got another code and it still didn't work. There was a car behind us so we had to pay $10. I understand this probably has more to do with the garage than restaurant but it was frustrating. read more

My favorite quick, easy, and healthy meal. I love that the atmosphere feels like a restaurant, however it is counter service, which is great with a large group of friends. Their HH is one of the best deals in town. I probably go here at least once per week. I really like the Caesar salad and lettuce wraps. Sooo gooood. Fresh testing salmon poke bowl and one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had at a restaurant (got it unsweetened with oat milk). Everyone working there was extremely nice and the place had a cool vibe. If I lived in Austin, I'd be eating here at least a couple times a week. read more

5 Stars! Dish Society was truly a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food! We started with the pretzels and queso, and fried grit balls as appetizers--both were amazing! For our main courses, we had the chicken ancho bowl, steak tacos, and pesto chicken pasta. Each dish was packed with flavor! My daughter got the kids' chicken tenders, and I kept sneaking bites because they were so good! For dessert, we enjoyed a gooey chocolate chip cookie and a slice of coconut cream pie. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you,after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.

This place operates on a tab-based system, so no need to wait for a check, since the tab is opened for you before you're seated. This worked very smoothly! Everything is counter service so you'll order your entire meal at the counter along with drinks, the cashier will give you a number and the service staff will bring your items to your table. My friend and I ordered several different items on the menu to try out, we got the etouffee, red beans and rice, and a mushroom salad. My favorite out of those items was the mushroom salad with vinagarette dressing, who doesn't love mushrooms and some greens! The etouffee was rich and savory with what i believe was their rotating protein of the week. Can't really go wrong with red beans and rice, these are like an upgraded popeyes version. To end the meal we tried their beignets which weren't stellar but reminded me more of a fried donut with some powdered sugar sprinkled on top. I'd come back but maybe not get so much food since we both definitely left stuffed!

Everything about this restaurant was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and outstanding service. The food was beyond amazing--every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The drinks were expertly crafted and paired perfectly with our meal. The atmosphere was inviting and made for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't recommend this place enough! If you're looking for a top-notch meal with exceptional service, this is the spot. Unfortunately our experience was marred by their ACK being broken. The food was good I had the brisket and eggs which were exceptional. Hubby had the burger which he said was good. We went to Miller's again this time with some friends and their kids. The two bottle mimosa combo was beautifully presented. I had the salmon avocado toast this time and was amazed. I would add something to it like an egg or bacon. read more

GORGEOUS location on South 1st! This is a great addition to the neighborhood. The watermelon salad is my favorite - however there are options for everyone's tastes. Also, parking is validated for 2 hours in the garage under the building which was easy. read more
