The Disneyland Hotel is, without question, my favorite hotel. Every time I stay here, I'm reminded why I keep coming back. The biggest perk is being completely immersed in the Disney bubble. From the moment you arrive until the moment you reluctantly check out, the magic never stops. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, with beautifully maintained landscaping, relaxing outdoor spaces, and Disney touches everywhere you look. The pools are fantastic and heated to perfection. During one stay, my son convinced me to go swimming in the rain, and to my surprise, the water was so warm and comfortable that we stayed in much longer than I expected. It's one of those memories that still makes me smile. The slides and poolside food and drinks and def a great perk too! The food options are excellent. Trader Sam's is always a must-do for us, with amazing food and a fun atmosphere. The coffee shop is another favorite--I had the chia pudding every single morning for breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious. And of course, being able to grab a Dole Whip without leaving the hotel area is a huge bonus. The cleanliness here is on another level. In fact, I find myself comparing every other hotel I stay at to the Disneyland Hotel, and they don't come close. The rooms are spotless, the common areas are immaculate, and everything feels well cared for. The staff consistently provide exceptional service, room service is reliable and delicious, and the overall guest experience is outstanding. The hotel also has two fantastic shops that make it easy to pick up Disney merchandise, snacks, or anything you may have forgotten. It's little conveniences like this that make the stay even more enjoyable. Yes, it's expensive, but for me, the Disneyland Hotel is more than just a place to sleep--it's part of the vacation experience. The combination of Disney magic, incredible service, beautiful grounds, amazing food, and unmatched cleanliness makes every stay feel special. Three words, for $5k for 7 nights and you give me a corner room with a lackluster view with murphy style bed.. What the hell. I'm sorry but look at this view from the attached photos. You couldn't give me a better for longer duration night period? I was just expecting a normal king or queen bed, not this. Note: Disney got rid of early admission but only gives you 1 instant FastPass. Plus it's $45 a night for self-parking. The saving grace of this room was the shower. Excellent waterfall like showerhead with fantastic water pressure and hot water. Yes, the hotel is a 10 minute walk to either park, a 4 minute walk to Downtown Disney, monorail access, nice pools, lush landscapes and the general layout is far better compared to most Disney World hotels... But the thing that Disney is known for, MAGIC... and none of that was shown to any of us. Instead DVC was shown at every second. No magic? Given that I booked this hotel with a third party so that they can inform the hotel of our events. We just got married that Saturday, 2 weeks ago my wife graduated and got her Dr's degree and my birthday was this upcoming Wednesday. You would THINK that Disney would put out some towel art, a custom card saying congratulations or even some chocolates on the bed. No.... Just a few buttons and a congratulations at the front desk. The keyword that Disney uses on every advertisement, Magic is gone from this company it's truly a disappointment. The only Magic that was shown was Marco at Pixar Pier, he saw our buttons and allowed us to skip the line at Pal-A-Round Wheel. That man, made our entire week. Everyone else, non-existent. read more

Presently staying at the Disneyland Hotel and while our trip hasn't officially ended I am going to give the 5 stars. A few things, from the moment we pulled up Jorge who handles getting the cars in was very kind and helpful. Albert who helped us with our bags took the time to be a conversationalist and actually get to know us. The hotel has been well kept in mid-century decor which is why we chose it (that and the convenience to the rest of the property). All of the classic Disney memorabilia on display was like taking a step back in time (which having never stayed here before was my hope for this hotel). Now, as for the hotel room... We are staying in the Adventureland Tower and I love the smell of the first floor. The models they have on display are true treasure of the past. The room is cozy and just enough space for the 3 of us staying. There is one thing I'd like to address because I read through the complaints others had on their posts... Our room had an AC issue it wasn't terribly hot in the room but, when we called down to guest services they were right on top of it and sent two very nice gentlemen to resolve the issue. All hotels have their own quirks, but I was deeply impressed at how on top of everything the staff had been and for their kindness. While you pay a premium to stay on the property, I have to say through my experience it's been earned. We will be back and we will be staying here again. read more

We loved the disneyland hotel. First off people saying its too expensive. Yes it is expensive, but when has disney brand ever been cheap. Like everything is extra. Yes staying here cost equivalent to a hotel suite at the Marriott. But if you want to try disneyhotel for the experience go for it. Anyways check in and check out was a breeze. We did the contact less and everything was smooth on the app. We arrived 1am and went straight to our room with no problems and unlock the door with my phone. We stayed on the 11th floor. Next time, we want to request a view of the park with firework views. Our room felt clean and the beds were amazing. I havent slept this good in years. The headboard was a plus. Love the nightlight and musical box. The room is pretty noise canceling We can barely hear the fireworks. We couldnt hear anything expect the toliet flushing from the next room. Room services are impeccable. Everyone we encounter at the hotel were nice and friendly. The pool and waterside was out favorite part. It so big that it didnt feel crowded despite many guest were there. My kids had an awesome time. I took 1 star for the lack of food varieties here. They suggest to use the app but there only 2 places that do pick up orders or its in the parks... None of the restaurants in downtown disney offer this. We plan to stay here again but when we do its too really hang out at the hotel and still have the disney feeling without the disneypark chaos. read more

First time staying at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel and it won't be our last! Everything from check in to check out went smoothly. We were able to check in at around 8:30-9am which I appreciated sooooo much because my 9 month old was ready for his early nap. I feel like most hotels won't allow that so I am thankful. Our stay was probably during a not so busy week so don't expect an early check in whenever! You check in at the main tower which is the Fantasy Tower and from there, they will direct you to your designated tower. I like being able to walk through the hotel grounds, because you get to see where things are! Like the pool, the restaurants, coffee shop, merch shop. We didn't get to use the pool because it was too chilly. We did eat at Tangaroa Terrace for breakfast morning of check out, which was a-okay. Okay back to our stay. The room was exactly as stated in the booking description. Our room had a balcony, mini fridge, microwave, view of one of the pools, a Murphy bed that was easy to pull down. The bed itself was comfortable! The bathroom was clean, bright and spacious. The water pressure, however, was pretty weak; esp the water pressure from the wink. There is a body mirror for your pre-disney outfit pic. Good amount of drawer/ closet space if needed, too. Overall, I have no bad things to see about my stay at the Disneyland Hotel. I mean, yeah I wish it wasn't $500+ a night but the convenience of it being close to the parks with an infant is worth it. read more

We booked this hotel in October specifically so we could get the one hour early entry to the park only to find out in January that they got rid of it. Disney did not grandfather in those that purchased the hotel months ahead of their unfair announcement. Disney instead decides to give you one lightning lane per person per stay. That isn't fair either. It should be one per day you stay not one total. AND it isn't for all rides either, only certain rides. Our hotel room has a loud low vibration that occurs early in the morning to wake you up if your back pain from the beds didn't do its job. Our bathroom door does not latch OR lock. We have all tried to fix it but to no avail. We can see a bit of California adventure from our room and the show music blares at 9:30 pm read more

Service - from time of check in to check out, the staff was amazing. Thank you to Brittany for changing our room to a king. We were a big group and the staff ensured that we made it to our hall inside the park with no issues. The room - we were in the original tower. The room was very basic but I loved Disneys touch throughout the room. From the headboard, to the faucet handles to the light fixtures it was Disney all the way. The house keeping staff was great The room was always cleaned and maintained with care. We overlooked the pool area but we didn't hear noise from the area. The grounds - always immaculate and very well maintained. We enjoyed the early admission to the park as a perk for staying at the hotel. I like that Downrown Disney was within walking distance but still a distance that you were outbid the crowds. read more

Why pay 21/2 times as much to stay, when the monorail is closed, and no more magic morning? All they offer is 1 lightening lane per guest. Big whoop!!! That's worth an extra few hundred dollars a night! I have enjoyed staying there in the past, but now it seems like the "bean counters" have taken over, and they are more interested in squeezing every last penney out of anyone who comes to the parks, or stays in-the hotels. Just recently spent a few days/nights calling the Disneyland Hotel home during our multi day exploration of the parks for our son's bday. Super easy to get to from freeway. Easy entrance to valet. Also self parking but for price, valet was good option. Valet and bellhop staff were awesome. Very friendly and inviting. From moment you step out of the car into the front entrance and then lobby, the touches of Disney are all around. Easy check in and access to room. Stayed at Fantasy Tower on 11th floor facing park side. Room view was incredible!! Literally we watched the Disneyland fireworks each night from our room!! Best experience!! Other than the view, the other nice parts of the room were the size for a basic room and entertainment center/TV along with the Disney touches (music box light up headboard of Disneyland castle in small warm LED lights, Mickey hands holding wall lights). That said, rooms need to be updated and in particular the bathroom. The bathroom definitely needs a lot of work and updates. Even with the small outdated bathroom, expectations would be that the plumbing would be good... unfortunately we would get alternating super hot and super cold water in the shower which wasn't ideal...especially for the cost. The presence of Trader Sams and Goofy Kitchen is awesome. Bar at the Villas is also awesome. Pools are great, but should definitely open before 10am for a hotel catering to kids and families. The absolutely best part and justification of cost is the ambiance and proximity to Downtown Disney and both Parks. Functions as a great place to rest for an hour or two before heading back to park hopping or to grab dinner at Downtown Disney restaurant. Overall a good experience and great trip/staycation for our family. read more

After five decades of wanting to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, I finally pulled the pin last week for a trip with my adult daughter. I typically stayed at hotels on Harbor Blvd to save on costs, but with this comes Uber rides or long walks; tons of people lined up for rideshare; and long lines at security to get into the park. Another incentive to finally stay at the hotel is we walk anywhere from 10-13 miles at the park daily, and at the end of the day, I am just tired and want to get to my room. I have been on the resort property in the past to take my kids to Goofy's Kitchen when they were younger, and a few years ago for cocktails at the tiki bar. Upon arrival, the grounds, much like the park, are immaculate with curated and manicured landscaping. There are a couple of pools and areas and waterslides for the littles. The Lobby is beautiful with black and white photos at the elevators, and an expansive check in area. We took an Uber from the airport and arrived shortly after 1:00 PM, so we did not have a car to park. We were kindly greeted by a female in the Lobby before approaching the check in desk who offered mobile check in. However, I was interested in available room upgrades so I opted to check in at the desk. At this point we learned there are no fireworks during the week at this time of year, and while we were offered a pool view (for a fee) we decided a view of the park was not necessary, and we had concern about being too close to pool noise. A room was available in the Frontier Tower, but we chose to wait for a room to be available in the Fantasy Tower (where the lobby is located). While we waited, we dropped off our bags at the bell desk and started in Downtown Disney. About 90 minutes later I got a text that our room was available, and we were pleasantly surprised to be on the 9th floor. Upon entering the room, we were delighted with the huge light up headboard, large television, two deliciously comfortable queen beds, floor to ceiling curtains and wonderful sheet with a mid century modern pattern. The closet contained extra pillows and blankets, and the restroom contained a tub/shower, sink and seperate toilet area. The bathroom sconce lamps are Mickey hands (so cute) and the fixtures of the sink and shower were Mickey heads. The room (2719) was well stocked with towels and even contained a shower cap and 2 toothbrushes and toothpaste. There was a good size refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and condiments and plenty of room to store our belongings. Our view was looking out from the front of the hotel, with a view of the Star Wars land in the park and we could see the Big Thunder Mountain ride. While we were near the elevator, we did not have an issue with elevator noise or other guests. The beds are incredibly comfortable and I learned Disney has a special line of luxury mattresses with Beautyrest. While accommodations are expensive, we got the Lightning Lane passes gratis for being guests at the hotel, which was a major perk that I did not even realize until the following day which was our first day at the park. During our stay, we had interactions with the on site Coffee Shop; The Broken Spell Lounge; Trader Sam's (tiki bar on site); pool staff, bell staff, security staff, lobby staff; housekeeping; room service; and staff at the on site Gift Shop. Everyone, at every single level of service, provided hands down, the best hospitality I have ever received. We received outstanding service both at the hotel and the parks; and while I have been to Disneyland 20+ times, this was the best trip I have experienced. Even the line to security to get into Downtown Disney was never more than 4 people deep, and I really appreciated the convenience of staying on the Disney campus for a short walk to and from the park and easy access to bars, restaurants, and gift shops. I will be reviewing the restaurants on their respective Yelp pages to further share my experience. I will now only stay at the Disneyland Hotel or Grand Californian because of the level of service, hospitality and friendliness I received. I felt I absolutely received what I paid for, and staying here made our trip so much less stressful and tiring. Loved this place and I cannot stop raving about it to my friends. read more

Wow. Magical, impeccable, memorable are three words that describe our weekend stay at the Disneyland hotel. The moment you step on property, you can feel the effort and attention to detail employees put into this gorgeous hotel. I loved the different towers with themes, the iconic monorail water slides and pools. There's a private pool for the tower I stayed in along with a splash pad for littles. All the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. I feel like everyone who works here loves their job. Everyone was in a happy mood haha. The suites are so clean. Our room had a kitchen which was nice even though we ate out most of the time. The price to stay here is high but it's so worth the convenience being walking distance to downtown Disney and the parks. read more

We had such a wonderful stay at the Disneyland Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the bell hops were incredibly helpful--holding our luggage before check-in so we could start enjoying our trip right away, and again after check-out so we could relax and have lunch without stress. Their kindness really set the tone for our trip. Our two-year-old twins especially loved the splash pad--it was the perfect place for them to cool off and play. This was our boys' very first Disneyland trip, and the hotel made it so memorable. We're already looking forward to making many more family memories here in the future! read more

It's the official Disneyland hotel that's located right next to the parks and Downtown Disney. There's definitely that Disney aura I get when I walk through this place. I can only assume this place had a few renovations since opening, but they do keep a lot of the decor and vintage displays around to show its history. As of the time I am writing this review, I've been here a lot of times: - One time I stayed here overnight with family because we were going to the parks the next day. Fond memories, cause I was there with my nieces. - a few other times, I was invited to a holiday party by a very prominent video game company in the area. They've had their holiday party at this location multiple times and I got invited to a few of them so much fun! - most recently, I was here for a breakfast/brunch picnic for my own company picnic. We were treated to a breakfast then tickets to Disneyland afterwards. I have to say the quality of food was pretty solid. Better than I expected for a hotel, brunch buffet type thing. The eggs are fluffy. The bacon was delicious and the fruit was fresh. Not much more you can ask. All in all, a really convenient place to stay if you were visiting the parks or a great location for hosting a company party. The logistics always seem to be very easy and organized. It's also home to the fun tiki bar that myself and lots of friends have visited. As a consumer, I would say the pricing would make my mind on whether to stay here or not, but honestly, I've never had a bad experience here. read more

We planned a little getaway to Disneyland as part of our stay cation. Haven't a 2-year old and a 8-year old, I wanted to have nearby access for naps as well as being able to get to and from the hotel at the beginning or end of our day (via the Monorail). I was upgraded to a pool view room as a surprise. Our room was (actually a conjoined room with what I could hear another infant in the next room, maybe that's why?). We try to travel with a sound machine and it comes in handy. We could occasionally hear the curtains open/close but not too noisy. We were greeted by a personalized Welcome greeting on the Disney screen. We had access to the Disney Channel or you could choose to stream from your phone to the TV. The beds were pretty comfy just a little high off the ground for us short people. The room itself was clean except for a water bottle container under the bed. The shower pressure was good but the ceiling looked a little ragged. My husband pointed out the swelling on the bottom of the bathroom door. The hotel is huge. We didn't get to explore the Tiki restaurant/bar as we had planned due to timing. But the hotel has a coffee shop right next to Goofy's Kitchen (make reservations in advance). There is a gift shop and a snack shop in the hotel Lobby. We stayed in the Fantasy Tower but there were 2 other towers that we didn't get to explore. They have different hotel events each day. Disney Walk is just a short walk away where there is a multitude of shops and restaurants. The staff here were generally very friendly. I honestly wish we could have stayed another day but it was out of budget. We stayed 2-nights and enjoyed our time here. In all the years I've been to Disney, I did not have a chance to stay at this hotel. This was a first for me! If you're staying here, it out of convenience to the park. We payed an additional $40/night for parking. Concierge can store your luggage before and after check in to maximize your stay. read more

For my son's bday, his grandparents gifted us a night at the Disneyland hotel and park tickets. It was nice to be so close to the parks. Hotel wise, I definitely wouldn't think to book here normally as it doesn't feel like the elevated hotel experience I prefer. It's not as nice as hotels like the Grand Californian or really most hotels this price. But it's close and the stay was free for us. The room itself feels dated. We were in the Adventure tower with the model of Big Thunder Railroad in the lobby display. The wall behind the headboard was carved wood and was pretty but that was about the only thing that made you feel like you were at a Disney hotel. The bathroom was small but they did have a separate dressing area. That's also where I found stuff for coffee. The standout here is Goofy's Kitchen, which is to the right when you exit the lobby towards the pool. Service was nice and our stay was pleasant despite the terrible rain that weekend. read more

We stayed in the Adventure Tower and our experience was nothing short of amazing. Checking in was a breeze! There were plenty of staff at the front desk, all incredibly friendly, and we had zero wait time. We were even able to check in before noon, which was so helpful and made our day so much easier. The room was spotless, tidy, and filled with charming Disney details that made our stay feel truly magical. The hotel offers endless activities and plenty of amenities to enjoy after a day at the parks. They also have a nice restaurant right below with a huge water play area, which was such a fun bonus. They offer valet and have a large self-parking area, which made everything super convenient, though I do feel they could add more handicap parking spots. The location is perfect with about a 10-minute walk to the park gates and only 5 minutes to Downtown Disney. We had a wonderful time and absolutely can't wait to come back! read more

**3.5 stars** If you want to stay on property and in a Disney themed room, of course this is going to be the hotel for you. The standard rooms are on the smaller side, generally comfortable, and clean. However, if your going to spend most of the day at the parks and just sleeping you may want to stay off property to save money as this hotel is easily double to triple what a good neighbor hotel charges. There are some on-property perks of course, but I'm not sure they are the best value. Also, it is quite a ways from the parking area to the hotel towers versus other hotels in the area. If you want the full Disney experience, stay here. If you want to save some money, the good neighbor hotels are right across the street. read more

We've been coming to Disneyland for over 20 years and have even been Annual Passholders, so writing a negative review about the Disneyland Hotel is not something I ever expected to do. During our recent stay we were verbally promised connecting rooms at check-in for our party. This was important because we were traveling with family. When we arrived at the rooms, they were not connecting as promised. What followed was a lot of time spent going back and forth with the front desk and escalating the issue to management. Eventually they were able to move the other party in our group to the room next to us -- but not until after the first night of our stay, which disrupted the start of our trip. Unfortunately the issues didn't stop there. When the other party in our group checked out one day before we did, the front desk accidentally checked our room out instead of theirs. This created even more confusion and required me to spend additional time at the front desk speaking with management to fix the mistake. Instead of enjoying time with my family on vacation, I was dealing with administrative errors. For a hotel at this price point and with Disney's reputation for service, this was frustrating and disappointing. It resulted in unnecessary aggravation and time wasted during what should have been a relaxing family trip. What makes this even harder to write is that we have another stay already booked for the 4th of July, and after this experience I'm honestly tempted to cancel. I truly hope Disneyland Hotel can tighten up their front desk processes and communication, because guests who choose to stay here are doing so expecting the level of service Disney is known for. read more

I think the most frustrating thing about this place is they add gratuity to the pool bar automatically and yet their service is definitely lacking. I'm all for paying 18 to 20% gratuity but not when it's all on cocktails and the service is not very good. read more

even being an orange county resident, i always wanted to stay at the disneyland hotel at least once. i stayed once with a friend and we immediately made plans to try to stay once annually. it's definitely pricey, being disney and all, but it's such a magical experience, it's almost easy to forget about the cost. the front desk has always been very kind in assisting in check-ins, and the ambiance of the hotel (both outside and inside) feels so magical that it creates an experience from the minute you're walking onto the property until you're checked out and driving home. they set the tv up in your room to welcome you with a sign, which really personalizes the visit. i loved that the little engravings of the fireworks on the headboards also lit up with the press of a button and played "a dream is a wish your heart makes." did we press it at least 5 times in a row before sleeping because we were so entranced? perhaps. if you can afford it, i would definitely recommend trying to stay at least once :) read more

We enjoyed the convenience of accessing the park quicker/monorail on our recent visit to Disneyland. However, given the price point, the room was only mediocre. Shower head had pressure issues/leaked and water heater was having issues. There was some black mold on the bathroom ceiling and small details were dated. There was also some sort of fumigation or construction happening on our floor with a room being sealed off in plastic during our stay. The offering of food/drink on site is pretty small/mediocre. Overall, I plan to stay off site next time. Note: rooms have a mini-fridge but no microwave. read more

This was our second stay and like our first, we truly enjoyed ourselves. From the service from the moment we drove up to the drive, the bellman were quick to assist us. The front of the hotel looks great with all the new updates. As for the check in experience, it is pretty flawless. You can actually pre-check in on your cell phone and when the room is ready, you can go straight to your room and open the door with your cell phone. Because we arrived early in the morning, we wanted to take advantage of the pools. We got there a little after 8 am and went straight to the pool. I'm really glad we got there when we did because it does get busy and seating area goes quick. People even line up earlier to get the best seating area for their family. There are a total of 3 pool areas: the E-Ticket, Monorail Waterslides, and the D-Ticket pool. My favorite is the E-Ticket because it is bigger and includes a hot tub. I'm a bit of a chicken and don't like waterslides but heard that these are fun but I woudn't know. The splash pad in this area is fun and you will get drenched. The D-Ticket pool is cool because it has a bar and a Steamboat Willie splash pad. There's also some cool swings that you can enjoy in the sun. As for amenities in the hotel, there are two stores for Disney merchandise, a photo booth that charges $10 for two copies, Trader Sam's, Goofy's Kitchen, and a few other eateries. If you want to dine at Goofy's Kitchen, make sure to make a reservation since it does get busy. As for the room, it is very spacious. This stay we were on a higher floor with a great pool view in the Fantasy tower. If you are looking for this type of view, make sure to ask for this tower on the higher floors. You get a full view of the E-Ticket pool and the monorail waterslides. Inside the room, they have a coffee station, bath robes, a safe, comfortable beds, fridge, daybed, and a lot of space. The bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, shower cap, and hand soap which is a plus. Great amenities and comfort. Plus, lots of Disney decor, make sure to look around your room to find them all. This is one of our favorite hotels so we will definitely be back for some more fun in the sun. Yearly we visit the Disneyland Hotel for the Newco pet food show. We booked our rooms through the room block that was provided for the show by calling the front desk. Our reservations were in however we had to ask for joining room although we had already stated that we wanted them. The front desk made the accommodations and by chance we got the same rooms as last year. The first 2 nights were great. I know the hotel is older but the sink backed up on the 3rd night and we had to have maintenance come and snake it around 10:30pm. Thankfully David was able to get the job done. It was gross standing water in the sink and black dirt. The joining room had a bad smell in their bathroom but luckily no clog for them. The kids were happy to see the possums running around the property at night. Made for some great entertainment. Over all great stay. read more

Walt couldn't afford to build it, but you can't afford to stay in it. Circle of life. When I was a kid, this place was the Holy Grail of hotels. We stayed at the "budget motel down the street with the broken ice machine" while I stared longingly at the Disneyland Hotel like it was the Emerald City. Spoiler alert: we were broke, and the closest I got was pressing my nose against the gift shop window. Here's the kicker: even Walt Disney himself couldn't afford to build this hotel. In 1955, he tapped out his wallet making Disneyland, so he licensed the rights to Jack Wrather -- some oil-and-TV tycoon who cashed in big time. Wrather built the hotel, ran it like a side hustle, and for decades it was the crown jewel you could see but never touch. Walt basically outsourced the dream because he was broke as hell. The Wrather family kept it until 1988, when the old man croaked and Disney finally bought it back, probably by writing a check so big you could see it from space. The hotel today? Gorgeous, slick, and expensive enough that you'll wonder if you accidentally booked a wing at the Four Seasons. You're paying for nostalgia wrapped in pixie dust. The rooms have been modernized, but you still feel like you're sleeping in history -- like Walt himself might pop in, light a cigarette, and tell you to buy more churros. The details: * Monorail Station: This is the only hotel in America where you can literally ride a futuristic space train straight into a theme park. That's not just convenient -- that's flex money. * Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar: Where cocktails cost more than your student loan payment, but hey, the bar talks back to you. * The Pools: Disney themed, heated, and designed so you forget your bank account is hemorrhaging. I stayed here recently in 2025. I was nervous that the concierge lounge or "club level" lounge wasn't going to open and the rooms were going be outdated. I was completely wrong and very impressed. On arrival we were greeted in the parking area for the hotel , which the parking attendant said "welcome home" interesting fact told to me , you cannot get a bell cart without parking or take one to your room without a bell person. Upon checking in , in which there was zero wait on a Thursday morning , I was able to get my welcome packet and then taken up to the club lounge where I was give a yummy welcome drink. There was several food services throughout the day. Always able to request an adult beverage, Mickey rice crispy treat , Disney themed ice creams, or a box of to go treats packed up or you can do yourself. Room want going to breads for quite some hours. I headed over to Universal and when that day/night was going I received a text that my room was ready. Late at night I arrived and my bags were in my room and the surprise arrival package ordered was set up in my room , how lovely it looked! Everything was clean and modernized with a nostalgic theme. Ordering room service was easy from my in room phone and brought within an hour of ordering. The view of downtown Disney was beautiful for sunrises could see the California mountains which made me miss Colorado LOL, you would see the fireworks and there was a channel on the television that played the music they pumped in for that. It was seasonal for Halloween time. The pools were so fun too. I didn't have a single issue while visiting. I would stay here again. I am spoiled with club level stays. With 2 day , 1 park a day reservation needed tickets and Oogie boogie bash tickets with 4 nights stay in a club level room my travel agent made it so for about 3k. I really wanted to visit here and other trips to other places were not on my mind this year. Thankful for a lovely dreamy magical trip. read more

Me and my husband decided to stay here since we were bringing our 6 month old with us on our first family trip and we wanted to stay within walking distance to Disneyland just in case we needed to go back to the hotel for any reason and it was the best decision we ever made since it ended up being 90 degree weather while we were there and being able to go back quickly to the hotel to get a break from the heat and have our baby nap was incredibly nice. If you are bringing breastmilk, the fridge included in the room doesn't have a freezer but it does stay extremely cold. I put a large water bottle in the fridge as well that ended up turning into slushie the next morning. It also kept my freezer packs still mostly frozen by the next day but by the third day it was no longer frozen but still really cold to where I was able to put it in my small cooler bag along with the refrigerated breastmilk and kept it cold for a few hours while we were at the park. We called the front desk for a pack n play for our baby to sleep in and they came to our room within 10mins and even set it up for us. This was also a big reason why we decided to stay at the Disneyland hotel since we were traveling in and didn't want to bring our own pack n play. The blackout curtains also helped a lot with daytime naps during our stay. I will say the bathroom feels slightly outdated for what you pay for but I think that they knowingly put us in a room that had a bathroom with a shower/tub so we can bathe our little one. We did bring an inflatable bath tub since our baby isn't big enough to bathe in it without one and it ended up being perfect. I absolutely loved the light up backsplash of the headboard that played the cutest Disney tune when you press the switch on the lamp. My baby loved it too. We also loved how they had bedtime stories to watch on the tv. Overall we would definitely stay again! read more

Our family had been looking forward to our stay at the Disneyland Hotel for months. We've stayed at other Disney resorts and even sailed on Disney cruises, so we know what Disney's true hospitality feels like -- warm, welcoming, and full of magic. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite. Some of the concierge staff were surprisingly rude and dismissive, which was disheartening from the start. The hotel itself felt run-down, with trays of room service left in hallways for hours. Live music in the concierge lounge was cancelled without notice, and unlike other families, we never received the welcome tour or introduction to the lounge that should come with Club Level service. I must add that some of the servers were super nice and kind despite being overworked and the coffee machine was neat! However, the most upsetting moment came when the concierge desk staff called two security guards after we calmly expressed our disappointment -- an unnecessary and intimidating response that left us embarrassed and shaken. We were never confrontational; we simply wanted to be heard. Our kids cried in the car on the way home, confused and upset about what had happened. It broke our hearts, and honestly, it's changed how we see the Disney brand. For the price and reputation, we expected so much more compassion, professionalism, and care. I submitted a detailed guest survey over a week ago and still haven't received any follow-up. I truly hope Disney management takes this feedback seriously and restores the warmth and magic that families have always believed in. read more

Disneyland Hotel would make Walt Disney proud; they do it right. From the moment we arrived to the time we left our stay at the Disneyland hotel was nothing short of magical. This was our kids (1&2) first time to Disneyland and we wanted to make it special (and get naps in), boy was it special! When we arrived the bellmen greeted us and took our overpacked luggage with ease off our hands to bring up later. We then met Vanessa at the front desk and were given our room keys and all the info we needed and headed to our room... Amazing doesn't even begin describe our family suite. The room is decorated with warmth, class, and magical touches that let you know you're in mickeys domain but not too loudly. There are subtle and sweet Mickey touches around that bring delight to all of us; the best part was our headboard that lit up and played "wish upon a star"...wow, what a way to end your day. The room boasted vibrant shades of blues and gold and was very spacious with 2 balconies that had a view of the Matterhorn, pool, and fireworks. We also had a Kitchenette that was perfect for making breakfast and late night snackies! Everything Disney does is detailed and flawless. Housekeeping are like a bunch of wonderful fairy godmothers that come when you don't know it that magically make your room sparkle and leave special treats around; how lovely! The hotel has multiple towers that each have a theme (ours was adventure tower), they have a super fun pool with slides and a splash pad for the littles, a state of the art gym for the hard core fitness people who don't get enough steps in at Disneyland, several dining options (Goofy's kitchen and Trader Sam's are a must visit), and lots of fun recreational activities and events throughout the resort. The Disneyland hotel is pricey, but that's a given; the memories and overall experience cannot be matched anywhere else. The details make all the difference and Disney knows how to perfect every little one. We will be back...soon! read more

Honestly this hotel isn't worth the price we paid the only thing that was nice was the disney lights on the headboard and their pool. It isn't too much closer than the good neighborhood hotels either. Also be aware that you will be charged 45 dollar a night in parking and over 70 dollars in fees per night on top of what Disney said the room would be. So I would be aware of that if you are budgeting a trip. read more

This last visit we checked out and went to DCA, not knowing we forgot to empty our safe, they made sure to call us and return our valuables. I booked a one night stay for my birthday weekend trip several months in advance. It was pricey, and we even picked the "cheapest" option of the rooms which was about $600 for the nightly rate not including service fees and tax. It was for the Duo Studio room in the Villas. I checked in early at 6:30am so I could take advantage of the 30 minute early entry into Disneyland. Our room was ready by 11am. I had no issues with finding parking upon checking in so early and the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Parking was an extra fee, $40 per night for self-parking. I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel 10 years ago in the standard hotel rooms. The standard rooms honestly look outdated compared to where I stayed in recently. The Duo studio room was actually really gorgeous and well thought out. It had enough Disney touches where it felt magical but it maintained a modern and spacious layout. I liked that it had a wall pullout bed. You could sleep 4 people in the room but because it was only my husband and me, it was our napping area for when we were dirty from the park but wanted to rest without dirtying the actual bed. The bathroom was clean and came with full shower toiletry amenities. The toilet had its own separate sliding door for privacy. The bed was comfy with clean white sheets. The room also included a mini kitchen area with a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and pantry of dishware. There was also a flat screen TV that welcomed us in as soon as we arrived. Let's talk about the early entry perk which is the main reason to stay at a Disneyland hotel. Firstly, early entry is alternated between both parks so be sure to check which park it is for you the day you plan on going. They could and should make early entry more convenient for hotel guests for the price paid. By 6:45am, there was a long line already at security into the downtown Disney entrance which is the closest security entry to the hotel. We lined up with the general guests and fast walked to the turnstile gates for Disneyland which also had a very long line. There is no separate line for hotel guests. Keep in mind, there are security entry points closer to the gates compared to the ones you would come from the Disneyland Hotel. So those park guests will be able to line up first at the turnstile gates if all security checkpoints let everyone in at the same time. They did not start allowing guests into park until 7:20am. Early entry is at 7:30am. Luckily we made it to the early entry spot by Tomorrowland on time by 7:27am but if we had been any later literally by a few minutes, we would have missed taking full advantage of it. We were able to fit in 4 fantasyland rides within that 30 minutes which was nice. But oh man, it was a mad rush and I would not do it again for the sheer stress of it. I'm short and there's only so much fast walking I can do before it's in vain. To remedy this, they should either make a separate entry point for both security and the gates for hotel guests OR just bring back the one hour early entry from pre-COVID times. Also a con, you would think that the Disneyland Hotel has better walking access to the park but it really doesn't. Having to trek from the end of Downtown Disney all the way to the gates is longer than it seems! I stayed at a Marriott hotel on harbor blvd before and it seemed much better especially since the closest security entry for that one spits you out closer to the park gates. Overall, I loved the Villa rooms! I love the hotel itself. But honestly, unless you're going to frequent Downtown Disney's restaurants/stores, Trader Sam's, or Goofy's Kitchen a lot, there is a better priced hotel out there that will be more convenient for you and your group. read more

Race bib pick-up for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon was located inside the Disneyland Hotel Convention Center. The Health and Fitness expo was also located inside during Thursday, September 5 - Saturday, September 7, 2024. I didn't know that Disneyland had it's own convention center. We ended up stopping by, walking through downtown Disney from the Disneyland Park to the Disneyland Hotel. The entrance to the convention center was right next to the Disneyland Hotel & Pool. There were several levels to the convention center. The first stop for me was the bib pick-up which was located on the second floor. There was also some photo opportunities too! Afterwards, I had to go pick up my race shirt, which was located in the health and fitness expo area, on the first floor. There was plenty of water stations available too! I'm participating in the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend in the end of January 2025 and hopefully the race bib pick-up will be hosted at the Disneyland Hotel Convention Center again! I am huge Disney fan and this was my first time staying at the hotel due to the costly price tag for a night stay but this year my husband surprised me with two nights at the hotel. I have to say the cute sprinkled touches of Disney around the room was cute but I thought it was a little outdated. I think it's crazy to charge $40 a night to park at the hotel. I mean I have the inspired pass, which includes the parking so I think if you have that pass, your parking should be a part of that hotel parking too. The staff were so friendly and nice. Carlos greeted us and assisted us when we walked into the lobby. Very nice and helpful he was. Rudy was the front desk employee who checked us in. We did book a 2 queen room but since the demand of guest they had they gave us a king room since there was just 2 of us. (I wish they would disclose that when making a reservation). I love to stretch out and have my own bed for a few nights, knowning I'm going to be exhausted walking both parks for 2 days. Plus we didn't get the view we wanted either. That was a REAL bummer. However, Rudy understood we were disappointed and helped us the best we could. Which we truly appreciate. If there is a next time I get to stay at the hotel I would love to have a day to really enjoy myself in the amenities they have like the pool and the bar right outside it. Our view of the pool at night was beautiful though. Walking to the parks we found to just go through downtown Disney was easier and catch the monorail that took you inside the park and dropped you off right at finding Nemo, but it is far away from everything you want to do, so you will be walking a bit for you get to the entrance of either park. We had a chance to visit the coffee shop right outside the hotel for coffee and snacks. The bagel was SO good and the coffee was pretty tasty too. They had a lot of options to choose from if you wanted something small and different then all the other snacks around the parks. read more

First time staying at the Disneyland Hotel!! There are 3 separate buildings, the Adventure Tower, the Frontier Tower and the one we stayed in Fantasy Tower! Disney definitely knows how to do it right! From the moment you're dropped off, to the moment you walk into your room you will be amazed at all the details surrounding you! The Fantasy Tower is the main lobby tower, it contains the Hotels registration, business center and bell services. It also houses the main shopping area, including Disney's Fantasia Shop and Small World Gifts & Sundries. We were about a two minute walk from the northwest entrance to Downtown Disney and a minute walk from Goofy's Kitchen. The room we stayed in had 2 queen beds and a large window where we were able to see the fireworks every night!! What a fantastic experience!! read more

5/5! My family and I were looking to celebrate a birthday at Disneyland and had a hard time determining between Pixar Place, Hotel, the grand Californian, and the Disneyland hotel. A lot of the input we received with at Disneyland hotel was most in line with the true Disney, and I couldn't agree more (to be fair though we have not been to the other two hotels lol) We appreciated the early check-in and it is worth noting the hotel and its upkeep were fantastic. The room was very clean and freshly mopped, and I did not get the usual grossed out feeling I usually do when coming into a new hotel. The hotel rooms were themed and our specific room was themed to sleeping beauty and the mirrors had a very adorable Disney touch to them as well. Staffing was very friendly, and I believe we were greeted every single place. We went, whether it be the lobby, the pool, or the gift shops. The proximity of the hotel to downtown Disney was a short walk as well. There were several pools to choose from as well as jacuzzis and the pools were never crowded. They also offered life fest for children and had a couple of waterslides. My husband and I noted how incredible the lifeguard resources were. The lifeguards were actively scanning the pool, literally every minute of the day. Some lifeguards would pace back-and-forth others would turn their head from left to right And I would absolutely feel safe with my children swimming in these pools. The only somewhat negative thing that I can mention is the offerings for room service. I was not particularly impressed. However the hours were fantastic and we were able to order early morning breakfast before a long day at Disney. I am very much looking forward to checking out the other two hotels on this property to see how they compare, but I would imagine it is difficult to be Disneyland hotel, we had an amazing experience every step of the way.
