Came here for Halloween and this place was poppin! Great atmosphere with the main bar/dance area. In the back there is another bar with another open area for dancing or lounging. They have an open rooftop area located in the far back as well. This spot is definitely a place to hangout and get your groove on.

Went to this dive sports bar last week for a friend's birthday. The food portions were generous, but not that good. The DJ played good music, but when the game was on the TV noise level was ridiculously and unnecessarily loud. This place does NOT check for COVID vaccinations - a big no-no! The place became extremely crowded quickly and the staff didn't wear masks, was eating food in front of us and not washing their hands before serving us- very unsanitary during regular times, especially unsanitary during a pandemic. I felt very unsafe, but I guess the locals and staff couldn't care less. They do have an outdoor patio, but once it gets cold I'm not sure if that will be an option.

So during the pandemic its hard to find a restaurant you haven't ordered from a million times. That's were the District comes in handy Its a relaunch of the old Play bar, Refreshed and with a New Menu. Takeout only at this point, but they have outdoor seating where you can sip a Cocktail while waiting for your meal. We ordered a few Burgers & Panini sandwiches and we enjoyed everything.

Outdoor dining allowed in NYC, and District seemed a perfect place to begin. Big spacious backyard with plenty of shaded areas Huge variety of items on menu ranging from appetizers to sandwiches and pizza. We had the pig wings, cause why not? You can have buffalo wings anytime. Very good. They were simple to eat and delicious. One bone, minimal work We had the Garlic Knot Chicken parm vodka sliders. Why have I never had this before? Anywhere! Nice presentation with basil I would not return as a patron of the bar scene. Not my crowd and too far from my house. I would certainly return to try other items though

Waited for someone to greet us at the door for at least 10-15 minutes because for some reason the bartender looked at us and didn't notify anyone a customer was there. Unfortunately the back that's decorated in holiday lights was being used for a party so we sat indoors. Both of our drinks were good. We ordered the beef empanadas which were great. They came out right away but after that we were waiting a good while for our entrees. He got the steak frites and said he liked it. I got the chicken tacos with penne vodka which was good but would've been better if it didn't arrive cold.

I would never have thought that this place used to be Play, I'm glad that they decided to change the theme into something I call modern. During covid time, their back yard dining was very nice and exquisite, kind of made me feel like I was in the city and not Staten Island. Food overall was satisfying, drinks were good although it can be pricey, but do definitely try it out, and FYI I love the buffalo calamari.

You can immediately tell that you're experiencing the work of someone who has spent years mastering his craft. Chef Joe didn't just add a few new dishes -- he designed an entirely new menu from the ground up, and the creativity, attention to detail, and execution really shine through. We tried several different dishes, and every single one felt thoughtfully created and beautifully executed. There was a clear balance of flavor, texture, presentation, and creativity in everything we tasted. What impressed me most is that the food doesn't feel like it's trying too hard to be fancy. It's simply really, really good food made by someone who understands his craft. Every bite felt intentional, and you can taste the experience behind it. And the experience didn't stop with the food. We also had some fantastic cocktails that paired perfectly with the atmosphere and the meal. Everything came together to make the entire night feel like a genuinely memorable dining experience. It's honestly refreshing to see a chef bring this level of passion and expertise to a restaurant. Chef Joe has something special here, and if this new menu is any indication of what's to come, The Alchemist Lounge is going to be a serious destination for food lovers. Do yourself a favor and come hungry -- order a few different things, grab a great cocktail, and experience the menu for yourself. Chef Joe absolutely knocked this one out of the park. Thanks for a 10/10 experience Chef Joe! We'll definitely be coming back. 5 stars without hesitation.

Between the atmosphere, the charm, the creativity, and the overall experience- I would vote this the best dive bar in NYC (I think Guy Fieri would agree). Tucked inside a historic building, this place has such a unique, intimate feel. The energy, the staff, the food, the drinks and the live band, was fuggetabouit I checked out their website and then experiencing it in person, I can confidently say... The Rock House is a VIBE for sure! So the space is on the smaller side, but all part of that neighborhood vibe. It's like Rock Glam meets neighborhood bar in like a Cheers type setting what I'm sure there are regulars. For a night out with 10 people- we locked down the bathroom corner and I actually enjoyed being able to sit close with my friends. Felt like we had best seats in the house but when you look around... everyone kind of has the best seats since the bar is central to the entire perimeter. As a nurse, I've only ever been out that way for Northwell on Seguine, so I had no idea there was even a spot like this tucked at the end. Hidden gem for sure. And don't let the word "bar" fool you okay this place delivers on food Big ups to "Rocker Jen," the owner, who was hanging out like one of the patrons, she not only served up looks, but jumped in to make her signature Bloody Mary. When I say it's a meal in a cup, I mean it- my inner foodie was so excited Onion rings, fried pickles, a bacon-wrapped hot dog, fried sweet shrimp, a pretzel, chicken fingers, and two of the best cheeseburger sliders I've had in a while. And you already know I'm a foodie... ahem Yelp Elite I really can't stop thinking of that delicious rim too. What really surprised me is that it's not just a bar with entertainment- I read- it's also dog-friendly, which makes it even better . Check out their website for happy hour details, events, and happenings... Rock House Bar and Grille knocked it out of the park. I'll absolutely be back.
