Excellent, a hidden gem on Staten Island, the week staff was wonderful. The food selections were abundant and hearty, something for everyone. Drinks were strong and the food came in a very timely manner, which is very important to hungry people like me. I definitely recommend it and I would definitely go back, I hear they have a fantastic lunch, I'll have to check that out also.

Came here for early dinner w my sister (make rsvps since they are only doing outdoor seatings right now). They have the Wednesday special which is a whole lobster with mash/veggies for $21. We also ordered a HH appetizer, the pepper jacks famous steak tips served w blue cheese and some carrots/celeries. We enjoyed our meal and topped it off with a lemon mascarpone layered cake which was SO good!!! Definitely ended our meal right. Our female hostess was good, only complaint is probably not getting water filled often thru out our time there. A male server did oddly ask us if we were done with our appetizer when there was clearly still half of those steak tips left. But aside from that, great spot!

If I can give this restaurant 10 stars I would. I have dined in many fine restaurants all over New York City and this place is always amazing! The food is great, they have a selective menu and are very service oriented. They also have live music at the bar, so the place has atmosphere and is very lively. I highly recommended for a great time and amazing food!

Very nice place for brunch. The food was good and the fireplace was pretty and useful as it was raining hard that day.

It has become mine and my husband's favorite restaurant after visiting for every special event, which are always made more special by the staff that remembers us each time. That is always a nice feeling, to be remembered. We also try to come stop by at least once a month just for a drink or dessert because the atmosphere is so beautiful. When it was time to get married, we didn't even consider other options. We were married in the Fireplace room, and held the reception on the lakefront terrace. Nadia, was our contact at the venue for the wedding planning and walked us through every single step of the way. She coordinated several special requests for us throughout the process and always welcomes us with a smile when we see her. We will definitely be back for our baby shower...one day!

Luckily, it was a warm fall day so it was nice, but the wind cause the fountain water to keep flying in our direction. For a catering place, usually the food is rarely good. Here, I was pleasantly surprised. We shared a bunch of apps and each ordered our own entree. I enjoyed the truffle mac and blue point oysters the most. The calamari and Korean wings were fine. I had the crab and eggs as my dish. It was very good but on the smaller side for a plate that costs $35. I wish it came with fries or something. We also had the dessert sampler and my favorite was the cookie butter mousse. They have really fun cocktails, including the espresso martini tree and the bubbly cocktail tree, which are great for a larger group. Service was friendly but we had to hunt down our waiter a few times so we can order. Overall, pleasantly surprised with this place.

SECOND, the food is just as amazing! I was so happy hahah. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a restaurant for more than just their food. We came here for my boyfriend's parent's anniversary and the server's were wonderful and honestly very thoughtful as well! They were very attentive to our table and refilled our waters often. I also say this because when my bf's parents ordered the halibut to split, they had brought out their meal in two individual plates that were beautifully plated, you would think they ordered separately! They also took our group picture! :) We ordered 2 orders of the Basement Snacks: For Two, 2 orders of their raw oysters for appetizers. For my entree I ordered the Shrimp Carbonara Rossa with a side of Asparagus. Everything was so good. Their buffalo wings were perfectly marinated and not too saucy, their ribs were so tender and the meat fell straight off the bone! My carbonara was also delicious. For dessert they even gave an anniversary treat which was so sweet. I ordered a Chocolate Cappuccino which was also great. 11/10! Wonderful and would recommend.

We ordered the Forest Ave roast beef sandwich and the fried shrimp appetizer with bang bang sauce. The shrimp had a nice crunch, and the bang bang sauce was good, but its flavor was a bit mild and plain; some garnish like chives can definitely elevate this appetizer further! Our sandwich unfortunately came without the bacon jam and maple bourbon, which meant it was just roast beef double dunked with Gruyère cheese. Unfortunately we didn't realize it until near the end, and although our waitress apologized and brought us a side of the bacon jam, by then we only had a quarter of it left which was a bummer. The roast beef was perfectly cooked and the gravy was rich and deliciously beefy, but the extra Au jus was a bit pricy for how little it was, where it came in the same small plastic sauce container instead of a small bowl/ceramic. I'm sure this doesn't happen often that half the sandwich ingredients were left out, so I guess we were just unlucky we didn't realize sooner, but it nonetheless detracted from our experience and we were charged the full price for the meal. Overall The Point Tavern has a lot of potential of being amazing and serve probably the best roast beef in all of Staten Island; I really wish them the best with their varied roast beef selections!
