We ordered fried calamari (decent) mozzarella sticks (decent), flank steak served with fried onion and served with mash potatoes (very good) chicken Gabriella served with rigatoni and hunks of mozzarella with vodka sauce (very good), onion soup and a delicious spinach salad. All ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. Our server was young and a little nervous but did a very nice job keeping our table happy. The price was very reasonable and the amount of food was unbelievable. 4 adults, 2 kids ate and drank (couple of beers and a wine) and left full and with half the food doggy bagged! First floor of a greater than 100 year old, 2-story wood frame house on west side of Staten Island, close to NJ & the freight terminal, & far from gentrification. Pub is very old, but this latest iteration / owner has been since the early 2000s. Looks like an Irish pub, but the menu / kitchen is family-style Italian restaurant. Portions are BIG. Prices are FAIR! This place ROCKS! I had the Caesar salad, stuffed mushrooms, & 1/2 order of chicken parm. All of it was awesome. Thur's are also Lobster Thur's, & they have like 15+ lobster preparations to choose from. I wish I lived upstairs - I would come here every day. They also have a lotto machine, so you can get a scratch off with dessert. Note: they are next to a school, & parking is hard to come by on weekdays until 4pm, but not impossible. Came here for the 2nd time on my birthday which was a brutal mistake. Got here with 2 of my friends on March 3, 2025 around 7-8 pm (03/03/2025). I ordered a regular Penne Vodka, my friend had the chicken parm, IMMEDIATELY that same night I woke up Vomiting. I had all the symptoms of Food poisoning and this place GAVE it to me and my friend who also experienced stomach issues. Came here for Sunday brunch the sangria and mimosas were disgusting . It was so cold in there I had to keep my jacket on . Some lady was singing walking to tables begging for them to sing with her. The bartender was dressed like she rolled out of bed. My waitress didn't pay us any mind literally had to go to the bar to keep ordering drinks. She was more concerned about the bigger parties in the back. It was so bad that we asked the bartender for the bill because the waitress never came back after she dropped the food off. I said to her you forgot about us. She knows she did but didn't care. I doubt I'll come back here. Service is terrible good is just above subpar. read more

Went out to have a nice meal. I've eaten there quite a few years ago and it was very good. Today was a disaster arrived about 330 -from 3:45 walked in, no one acknowledged us . Finally someone said -sit where ever you want . Waited a half an hour for appetizers after reminding wait staff ,wheres the appetizers .Didnt enjoy the food or ambiance at all. I was very unimpressed. I had Chicken Gabriela ,the chicken was awful. I had a salad that the lettuce tasted funny. The service was awful . The time it took for a wait person to come to the table was ridiculous . We never saw a waitress unless we called them over and I will never go back there again. read more

I'm not a fan of "family style" restaurants-for much the same reason I don't really enjoy dim sum places, namely, a lack of individual choice-so perhaps I'm not the best person to evaluate LBT. That being said, if I were to look at it objectively, I have to say that the service was excellent, the ambience was great, and the food that I did select personally-in this case, a bowl of ice cream-was delicious. Overall, I would say this is a very good restaurant if your tastes run to family style. Quarterly get together... Finally led us to Staten Island. You know how this works. 3 childhood friends catch up on family matters and a evening out. One buddy has been talking up Lacey's Bridge Tavern since our last gathering. It's definitely the oldest eatery that we've ever dined at since starting this little tradition several years ago. Here's the deal. Portions are served family style here. Thankfully you can order half platters, which we definitely took advantage of. For our single appetizer an order of hot Antipasto. More than enough to get out night started with a round of drinks. Everything that was ordered ( up until dessert) was off the daily specials menu. You can add on or take off items from your order. Two entrees that we shared were Stuffed Rigatoni & a Chicken/ Shrimp francese. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned. Our server was great, letting us catch up on all things family. Do try to save room for dessert. One piece of carrot cake was more than enough to cap off our evening amongst the fellas. And on a side note, does this neighborhood bring back memories. Even though I've never dined here before, my old high school is right down the street. Cost per person after tip, around $65.00 each. Good for groups and come hungry. We had a party of 6, and we left stuffed and happy! There was a separate menu with other specials so there was plenty of variety! We ordered the hot anti-pas for the appetizer, and it was plenty for 6 people. It was delicious! We also ordered the fried calamari, wasn't something to rave home about, the sauce that came with it was a little weird, can tasting if you will. For the mains, we ordered the chicken Gabriella, and mussels with linguini and red sauce. Highly recommend both! Both were very flavorful and fresh. And there was plenty to go around. We even took home left overs. For dessert we had waffles with ice cream, and a s'mores platter. It was literally the best ice cream I've ever had.. and it was HUGE! I highly recommend this place if you want to feed a big party with delicious quality food. Service was great and quick. Our waitress was constantly checking up on us.
