I am not really sure what DCG puts in their chicken that no other gyro/chicken over rice place I does. It makes me feel things that my first love did not. DCG is my top place for chicken over rice and there are quietly a few in the DMV. However, DCG has so much flavor in their chicken and their rice is also extra fluffy. In order to avoid some calories I have skipped white sauce this time around and I went HARD on the red+green sauce. Safe to say the next day in the loo wasn't pleasant but I would do it again. Service is top notch and the ambiance of this place reminds me of school life. 4.4/5 must try!

As a self‑confessed Halal devotee -- with plenty of visits to Halal Bros and Shah's under my belt -- I couldn't pass up a chance to try a new contender in Tyson's Corner. Sunday lunch, and the place was already buzzing -- always a good omen. I went for the platter combo: Halal chicken with a kick, gyro beef, rice, a fresh garden salad, and a cucumber‑tomato mix. The white sauce surprised me with a hint of dill -- a small twist that set it apart from the usual suspects. Verdict: If you find yourself in the retail jungle of Tyson's Corner, this is a pit stop worth making.

Can't believe it's been this long. I remember DCG from when it was in Georgetown and there was always a line. I found myself in Tysons Corner after the theater and couldn't wait to have some of this. It's truly been too long. The food was good. I was at the front of the line. There's places to sit and eat. The service was efficient. Would return!

Hands down my favorite chicken and Gyro place. So delicious and a great price. I will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic spot. I wish the chicken over rice back in SoCal would be just like this one. Rice was great, chicken and gyro were fantastic and the sauces were amazing. Everything hit the spot. Drooling as I type this out honestly.

I'm obsessed with DCG! I always get the platter with a combo of gyro and spicy chicken and the best part is, they don't hold back on the sauce!! Lately they have also been adding fun desserts to the menu too like different varieties of Dubai Chocolate. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm always tempted lol! Lastly, the employees are super friendly and even if there's a long line, they get through it super fast!

Absolutely, 100% approve of this place. It's the best halal cart style food my fiancée and I have tried. The guy in front of us in line the first time said he drives from Georgetown to Tysons corner just to get DCG so that's how we knew it must be good. The options are simple and they do them extremely well. You can get a pita wrap or a bowl, I prefer the bowl. You can get it with salad or cucumber/tomato mix. The meat options are chicken or gyro, but you can also get a mix of the two. They have white sauce, spicy red sauce, green sauce and bbq sauce. I personally love the white, green and red mixed together. It's also really fairly priced. $12 for a bowl and I usually pay the extra $3 to get extra meat. The line can appear pretty long but it usually moves pretty quick. It's a very small store but they do have some indoor seating in case you'd like to eat there. We always take it to go.

SOOO GOOOOD! I honestly thought people were gassing this place up for no reason. It's absolutely delicious!!! It's just a random little spot, not a lot of seats, but they do what they need. The line gets pretty long but it moves super quick! I got the combination gyros and chicken, rice, cucumber with spicy sauce and white sauce. The gyros was better than the chicken to me. Anyways 20/10 imma be back!

Wednesday 12/11/24 I first came across this spot on instagram or yelp and immediately added it to my list. Today I was in Tyson's corner so I decided to make a visit. I tried making a pick up order online and over the phone but that wasn't an option as this place is mainly made for in person ordering. I ordered the combo platter $12, chicken gyro $10, and got extra sides of their white sauce & bbq sauce. The service was pretty quick as i ordered my food and got it in around 3 min. The food is okay but it is very convenient and reliable to have that's open until midnight and has quick service. The combo platter was alright but I prefer the chicken over the lamb. The chicken gyro was quite average and underwhelming. It definitely could've been better if they packed it more with the toppings but especially the chicken (Need more bang for your buck). I was surprised to see they had bbq sauce which was alright but the white sauce threw me off as it wasn't bad or good but more so mid. Overall, the convenience of the hours and quick service is a good reason to stop by but the taste of the food wasn't quite on par with other halal spots I've had in the past. It's an alright spot but I personally wouldn't see myself coming back unless it was LATE.

First it was a little challenging to find just as everything in this area. The menu is simple and to the point. I ordered two platters. The chicken is spicy but flavorful and tender. The gyro was average so that is why the lower rating. The tzatziki sauce was spot on and improved the gyro tremendously. The place isn't the most cleanest which was in much need of a facelift. Service was ok and took our order and kept plugging away for the next customers.

District Chicken & Gyro is a staple experience for when you're craving some deliciously prepared halal food with ample portion sizes. Every bite is exactly what the soul needs, and it's ready to go within a few minutes of stepping through the door. The staff are wonderful, they're quick, and they're friendly. The restaurant itself is cute and has a few places to sit in or outdoors if you and the weather are up for it. I go here after long travel days to find comfort in a simple known meal, and I intend to keep doing so for years to come.

Really impressed by this place. Great pricing for so much food. I got the combo of both gyro and chicken. Both were great options. The red spice is actually spicy so when she doesn't give you a lot there's a reason for it.

I really wanted this place to be good. My son & I are trying a lot of halal places and one of his friends loved DCG. It's right next to The Vitamin Shoppe on the corner of Chain Bridge & Rt 7. As we walked in, the dining area was a mess as were the carpeting. We notice the menu board was very small and they offered a small fare of Platters & wraps. No fountain sodas. Just canned and bottled beverages in the fridge. The employee there was not enthusiastic to be there nor serve us. We both ordered the gryo platter rice and tomato cucumber salad. My son added the chicken. We got white sauce on top and green (chimichurri) & red (red pepper & vinegar) on the side. Also ordered 2 pitas (don't bother, not fresh) & 2 cans of soda. Not cheap. Since dining area was messy and the air humid with the music up loud, we took our food to go. The gyro meat was flavorful and big chunks. The tomato & cucumber salad was refreshing. The chicken (I tried my son's) was kinda mealy and mushy. Again, I really wanted to like this place but the negative vibes from the location & employee kinda ruined the total experience and outweighed the food. The gyro, rice, tomato/cucumber salad with white sauce was good but would have been better and fresher at lunch time or dinner time. We came at 4pm which was probably the wrong time. I gave this a 2 but should be 2.5. The food was above avg but everything else, I wanted to forget.

And let's be honest, I was there to judge their famous Tahdig. The inside is beautiful, clad in dark green colors and velvet chairs, it's definitely going for a romantic dinner energy. The floor buzzes with staff and families giving the whole dining room a lively energy. The group had a few picky eaters that got their own dishes, but for the cool kids we shared the Gilani Kebab platter which came with prawns, chicken, lamb; ya, a little bit of everything and was perfect for sharing. The grilled/charred flavor showed through on top of rice and fresh herbs. We also got the whole roasted branzino, cause, who's not up for the challenge. Served in a pistachio citrus sauce over rice, it was very lightly flavored and succulent. The Tahdig did not disappoint, perfectly crisped rice, beautiful color and good flavor! A few dings because the cocktails (and all the drinks) come out very slowly (bar is probably under-staffed) and everything need juuuuuust a little more omff flavor wise. I'm a huge fan of Persian cuisine and the DMV is no slouch here so color me spoiled. The bill is also on par with being neighbors with a Tiffany's; so if you can get your boss to treat you, then go in!!

Plump, tender shrimp swimming in a velvety tomato-cream sauce with real backbone -- that warm, layered heat that builds slow and lingers just long enough to make you reach for more. It's the kind of dish where the spice actually means something: cumin, coriander, a whisper of clove, and a chili kick that says the kitchen isn't playing it safe. We ordered it medium and it hit that perfect sweet spot where flavor and fire are in balance. The garlic naan was the ideal partner -- pillowy, blistered, and dripping with garlic, perfect for mopping up every last drop of that sauce (and trust me, you'll want to). The Chicken Hakka Noodles brought a totally different energy: smoky wok-tossed heat, springy noodles, and that savory Indo-Chinese punch with just enough chili to keep things interesting. Flavor is undoubtedly fantastic only reservation is that they can't make anything not spicy so my kids were not able to enjoy the tandoori chicken drumsticks or some other dishes (finger linking good for me). The lowest spice is "mild". I am mostly writing this review because of the customer service experience. One female waitress (not hijabi) was very very rude in terms of her attitude when I asked her for bowls or various things for my kids and elderly in laws. They don't have bowls or spoons set out in their place setting and I expect if you are eating rice with a sauce/curry, you should be able to have that as part of the meal. When I asked for bowls, she brought my family tiny ramekins !!!!! when asked for spoons, she scoffed walking away from me to retrieve them before I could even barely finish my sentence. Customer service in dining is about checking in and making sure customers are well attended to and asking if there is anything they can get you. I also felt like when asking for to go containers, they skimped out on giving us black to go containers, only giving us multiple smallsize flimsy plastic cup like ones!!! When I asked how they expected me to pack bigger sized food, it was only then they brought out bigger to go containers (with a flimsy plastic bag to hold the several small containers). I felt like I constantly had to advocate and ask for things for my family. The customer service just felt very lacking in thought and attentiveness and honestly I felt a general sense of cheapness!!!! Also expect that you will feel rushed in your dinner process because they only have a limited number of tables. Will prob only get take out from here (hopefully it comes in black containers).
