every seat in the house was packed on this Friday night. I think it's smart of the owners to have a niche market for Halal food. This brought in everybody that needs to have their food made via hell methods. The food was delicious. I had a combination of noodles and different meats like chicken, pork and beef and shrimp and my husband had a shrimp fried rice. The lady of the house was very hospitable. She came over and made sure everybody was OK. The father, who probably owned this business before beforehand is also working making sure that everybody is

Good Chinese Halal food in the Tysons area. Was with a couple Muslim coworkers and was told this is the spot for a quiet, sit-in restaurant that we could talk without yelling at each other (you know how some places be in Tysons during lunch hour ) Ordered the Szechuan beef lunch special, which included a drink, egg roll, and white or friend rice. I opted for the white as i thought it pairs better with the entree. Overall service was fast, food was hot, all boxes checked as the Hunan Village delivered an awesome lunch experience. If you're looking for a quiet spot to be able to discuss things in further detail without feeling like the paparazzi are outside, this is it.

This is my first time coming to this restaurant. It was extremely clean and the service was extremely welcoming. I ordered the General Tso Chicken and it was extremely good. The chicken was tender and juicy. I will definitely come back.

We've been on the hunt for a quality Chinese restaurant in our area but being in Tyson to look around. After perusing reviews, we opted to check out Halal Hunan Village. Convenient parking, a relaxed atmosphere upon entering, and attentive staff greeted us. Seated comfortably, we looked at the menu before placing our order. Our dishes arrived promptly, beginning with a delicious hot and sour soup, followed by what seemed to be homemade chicken dumplings. A longtime favorite, the Singapore Rice Noodle didn't disappoint, featuring a delightful combination of meats and shrimp in curry sauce. Overall, everything was flavorful and satisfying.

Salam and Good Evening! My family has been coming here since they opened a couple years ago! Aunty is amazing and very welcoming. She seems to know all of her regulars and always takes time from her busy kitchen to come by say hello. Soups (chicken corn soup family size our go to) are incredible! Today we tried the chili chicken (it's spicy so be prepared if you like milder foods) and Hunan chicken. 10/10 and the reasoning is the food and soup always tastes exactly the same as we had it before. The menu is hugh so make sure to come with an appetite. Jamal & Maliha

!!! COCKROACH ALERT!!! ,................ This was my first and last visit to Hunan village restaurant, Tyson corner, VA. I heard their food is good but I didn't know their hygiene would be so bad. I was there at lunch time and I was the only customer at that moment, later a family came with children. I Ordered Mongolian beef. The proportion was ok but not enough for me. So after finishing beef I wanted to try their shrimp noodle soup. When it arrived, it looked delicious. I was really enjoing it. After 6-7 spoon, I found a COCKROACH !!!!! YES, YOU ARE SEEING RIGHT, COCKROACH!!!! I enjoyed the Mongolian beef so good, that now my mind replaced that enjoyment with disgust! I immediately asked for the owner and the old Chinese lady came, told me she's the manager. She saw it and she said sorry we cleaned the kitchen hood previous night, probably this came from there. I was like WTF!!! How the F*** that could be a reason? This means, either your restaurant is COCKROACH infested, which you failed to control even by cleaning or your restaurant has cockroach infestation already but you didn't care!!! She told me that I don't have to pay for any of the food, but I rejected. I paid for the beef cause I don't want their free food...

    Singapore Rice Noodle

Good food decent service - overall I'd say it is an authentic no frills chinese restaurant. We ordered Singapore Noodles, Steamed Vegetable, Egg drop soup, Vegetable Dumplings etc. Waiter did make two errors- spice level asked was not what we got, had to send back singapore noodles. For stir fried veggies he said sauce would be on the side but it was all mixed in when the dish was served, oh well. Food was decent - egg drop Soup was really good and so was the side fried rice. I did like the 10% cash discount. I'd visit again.

First order: chicken lo mein, general tso's, and the hot chili pork wontons. The lo mein was delicious... chicken super tender, perfectly done. But the wontons were the real standout for me. I hadn't tried that style before and wow, so flavorful and tender! The general tso's was the one miss for me, not bad but not my favorite rendition of the dish, and the white rice was just okay. Did any of that stop me from ordering again days later? Absolutely not! Second order: we swapped in the mongolian chicken and the hot chili pork dumplings and this was the upgrade we needed. The mongolian chicken was SO good... again incredibly tender, tons of onions, deeply flavorful. And the dumplings? Perfection. The filling is more evenly dispersed throughout than the wontons, making every bite perfectly balanced with the pork and chili oil. Even the rice was better this time around, not sure what changed but I'm not asking questions! We've been dreaming about this meal ever since and genuinely cannot wait to order again. If you're in Vienna and sleeping on Chili Wok, please wake up immediately!

This place has a robust take-out business (DoorDash drivers running in and out). It's great for foodies, but also a noisy place (not ideal for a first date). Free parking is easy in a strip mall lot in downtown Vienna between the CVS and Giant. On the plus side, it has authentic Szechuan-style dishes, including dried cauliflower (savory blend of flavors with a hint of peppercorn), the baby bok choy with tofu skins (to enjoy and refresh the palate), Lazi Chicken (fried chicken bits with peppercorn), and stir-fry green beans. My sons devoured the Lazi Chicken dish and wished that it had more chicken chunks. Small bowls of white rice are included. They also have American-style Chinese food (e.g., kung-pao chicken) but we only ordered a small number of Szechuan-style dishes. On the minus side, it's a tiny space with a limited number of tables (most accommodate up to 4 people). Noise level is high, but maybe that was because it was Saturday night. Overall, we'll continue to order takeout from this place! But we may visit again during off-peak hours.

The shrimp was crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor -- that black pepper kick with the jalapeños and scallions gave it the perfect little heat without overpowering it. The General Tso chicken was exactly what you want: crispy pieces covered in that sweet, tangy, slightly spicy sauce, with just enough broccoli on the side to make it feel balanced. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and flavorful. Definitely one of those meals where you keep saying "just one more bite" until it's gone. Straight FIRE!!! Highly recommend. I'll came back a few days later to order more of the shrimp w/ extra shrimp this time, it's that GOOD!

They were able to accomodate us. The owners/managers were very helpful and friendly. I opted for the Steak teriyaki bento box with came with steak (medium rare) teriyaki, rice, 3 tempura shrimp, 2 tempura veg, 3 cali rolls, 3 gyozas, miso soup & salad for about $22.00. The miso soup was good but the salad was avg. The dressing got really watery. The gyozas & Cali rolls were fair but generous servings of tempura were outstanding! Crisp & hot. Even after 10 mins. Not oily or greasy. The rice was cooked properly. The only misstep was the steak. The steak was also cooked properly at medium rare & looked beautiful. The inside was nice and pink. But upon chewing, the steak was not tender at all. Very very chewy. When you were young, you were taught fo chew at least 30 times. Well, this exceeded the recommended amount of chewing. The steak has a nice beefy flavor but just tough. SHAME. Overall, Sweet Ginger is a very popular and nice place to have Japanese food. The sushi plates (not pictured) were colorful and beautiful.
