Had their chicken pho when I was sick with a terrible cold, even after waiting twenty minutes for Uber eats it was nice and hot. Perfect for a rainy day or a sick day at home. One of Vietnamese friend told me this is a authentic pho. The soups base is darker and obviously has more seasoning in it, the potions is smaller than other pho place and price is higher, and noodles is soft to almost soggy like. I give it 4 stars because it's good soups but is different read more

A cold rainy day and a craving for pho lead us to try out District 3 in the new Avalon. I did not know how beautiful the place was, it was decorated with nice chandeliers and had a beautiful Tiffiny Blue paint through out. Service was attentive, as soon as we sat down water was serve. It was our first time so we had ask our servers for recommendation, they both had us to try the eggplant app. It was seriously one of the best things I've ever had, I'm usually not an eggplant person, but it was something about this dish that had me dreaming for the next couple hours. For entree my husband got the clay pot dish, it came with an assortment of meat and veggie laid on top in a hot stone pot. I loved how they brought it out and open it in front of you and the smell was just to die for. I however stuck with my pho combination according to the server the broth is prep for about 24 hrs before they serve it. This place and Pho Dai Loi on Buford will probably be the only 2 places where I would down a bowl of pho. The broth was robust with so much flavors and you can really taste the beef bones which I personally really like. I really don't see why everyone is complaining about the prices here, I mean you can't even go to get ice cream around this area for for under $10 dollars. I can't wait to come back and tried the rest of the menus. P.S. they also have a full bar as well with lots of great wines selection. read more

I came here for lunch. The ambience is very very pretty, very clean and elegant and contemporary. I really liked what I got vermicelli noodles with shrimp. I told her I was gluten-free and instead of egg rolls I had the pork sausage spring rolls. Which we're delicious! The food was very fresh and very light on the sauce which was served on the side. We tried District III for date night this weekend. Overall, it was an enjoyable and average experience. The wine list was short with one choice for each main varietal. We chose a Sancerre that they were out of and the one me we had was very tart and citrusy. We tried the eggplant appetizer based on our server's recommendation and it was delicious: crispy, buttery and light like air in the middle. For dinner, I had the seafood clay pot, which was flavorful and quite hot. I was still blowing on each bite after 20 minutes. My husband ordered the coconut rice entree, which was more presentation than substance. The dish is served inside a coconut, which he emptied out and claimed 2 shrimp and lots of rice. Our server was nice and made good recommendations, but She was a bit inexperienced. She never poured the wine after she opened it, forgot to clear our appetizer before our entree and never came back with the sauce that she offered. She offered our check she instead of dessert, so we went to Jeni's for ice cream. I would try it again, but for a more casual meal. I would get one of the delicious looking martinis, the eggplant and split the clay pot dish. read more

My wife is Vietnamese. This place isn't what we call "hard-core" - it's a bit Americanized and fancified. But the combination accommodates us both very nicely. Easily the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. She likes it a lot - but has to go to Buford Hwy or at least Duluth if she needs "authentic". (I compare this to fancy tex-mex, vs authentic Mexican; I take the fancy tex-mex almost every time). I usually get the spicy beef noodle soup. Last week they had a clay-pot salmon (chunks of sushi-quality salmon floating in a hot caramelized and garlic broth) - best salmon I've ever had, and I eat salmon weekly; I hope they put it on the regular menu. A bit pricey - but this is what it costs to have top-of-the-line Vietnamese. read more

A very good bowl of Pho. I eat pho about once a week on Buford highway so I had only limited expectations. However, pleasantly surprised at the great flavors even in Alpharetta. We had beef pho and spring rolls this time. They have the best "Pho"! their broth is truly wonderful with long simmer cooked with beef bones. Beef bone broth is one of the most healing foods you can consume. It's rich in nutrients like gelatin and glycine. They also used best cut of beef, tenderloin...Anyway, we love it , don't have to travel far for a rich bowl of healthy beef "pho" now that District 3 is in our neck of the wood! read more

The food was ok, but the Pho broth was slightly greasy and under seasoned. I am annoyed by restaurants that think their food is perfectly seasoned and don't provide salt on the table. I took about 5 minutes to get a waiter to look up from the ground to get salt which was brought on a plate. They had no iced tea so we had to drink lukewarm no ice tap water. On the good side once some salt was added the Pho was decent and the meatballs were good. I think they just need to work a few things out. Have beverages people want (This is Georgia by the way) and allow people to season to their own taste. I am sure the eyes rolled on the chef when he had to give up a plate of salt. Today was the third time I found bugs in my veggie pho. I had to write a review since not only did I find more than 5 tiny bugs in the broth, but when I reported and showed the waitress the manager never came to the table to apologize. The first time I had their Veggie pho I found what appeared to be a grasshopper leg in the broth. It was tiny and had little hairs. I showed the people I was dining with, but since we couldn't be sure if it was a spice (although my gut knew better), I just stopped eating the pho while my coworkers continued on with their meal. The second time I found another small bug, but didn't want to disrupt my coworkers who were enjoying their meal so again I stopped eating. Today, on our 3rd visit to District III I found not one, not two, not three, but more than FIVE tiny bugs in my veggie pho. At first glance these bugs look like spice, but upon further investigation you can see they clearly have wings and legs. I poured these bugs onto a plate and showed the waitress. She saw the bugs and apologized. She stated that she told the manager, but the manager never came by to apologize. Of course they comped the meal, but I would rather not have had the bugs in my food to begin with. Don't order the veggie pho! My friends ordered beef pho and didn't seem to have any bugs in their food. This place could have so much potential, but who wants bugs in their food? read more
