Summary : Disappointing. This was the worst experience that we have had out In a very long time. The atmosphere was atrocious. The food was ridiculously priced for what we ordered. The quality was sub-TGIF. The waiter was just WEIRD. Called himself "Big Den" We are Never going back. I cannot in good conscience recommend that anyone spend their time or money here. Starter: Was some pile of slop with what we think were tomatoes and 4 pieces of crusty bread. Entrees: Filet wasn't properly cooked. Stringy and bland. Potatoes were thin, tasteless and runny. Green beans almost raw and unchewable. Atmosphere: Completely ruined by the largest TV I have ever seen at the bar casting its bright, irritating, unescapable glow across the entire restaurant. Weird mural in the wall near the entrance. We had no idea what a "Ditka" was. Apparently some kind of sports reference. It was good, I don't really have a complaint about it, it just wasn't what I was expecting. I had the salmon and I often get the salmon when I go out to dinner and this was a nice remix. It was served on a corn tamale cake and had citrus and salsa verde. My husband got the nachos and the scallops and he was not a fan of the nachos, but he really liked the scallops. Arrived on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait. We were meeting friends but arrived early so we headed to the bar for a drink. My husband had an old fashioned and it was perfectly made. I had the raspberry smash martini which was light and refreshing. We were sat at a booth close to the front of the restaurant. We started with calamari which was delicious! Then we all had steaks and they were perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my coffee rubbed Delmonico. I do wish I has substituted mashed potatoes in place in my asparagus because that butter would've been so good stirred into the mashed potatoes. Unfortunately we were too full to try dessert. If I return, I definitely wanna try the turtle ice cream dessert! I did have an espresso martini with dinner and it was fantastic, nice and smooth! Went to Ditka's to celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Ditka's before and have had some good and subpar experiences. Our server, Tim was great he was personable and attentive. We ordered the Calamari which was great as always it light and crispy. The Caesar salad is a good serving enough to split for two. Our table ordered two 19oz Bone-in Ribeyes and one 10oz Filet. The ribeyes and filet were requested medium rare. The ribeyes came out medium and the filet was closer to rare. Stephanie came by the table to ask how everything was and we told her about the steaks and she offered to make it right. We were hungry so we ate our original steaks. At the end of the meal my wife was given a free dessert which was a nice touch. My only complaint is the cooking of the steaks which should be exceptional considering Ditka's is a steakhouse. At the very least, our wine corkage fee of $30.00 should have been waived since we spent over $400.00 dollars. read more

The last time that I was at Ditka's it was about 6 months after it opened in Robinson in 2008. I remember that I didn't like the experience or the food. Fast forward to 2026, my boyfriend and I went on Sunday. I completely and totally had a difference experience. From the ladies that greeted us, to our waiter, Evan..the staff was amazing. The FOOD?? OMG...he got the steak medallions and crab and I got the chicken piccata. When I tell you EVERYTHING was melt in your mouth good! Every bite was eye-rolling good! 10 out of 10 for sure. Stopped in for lunch. Came in around 1 on a Wednesday without a reservation and were seated right away. Was busy but not full. Ordered a white wine, the crab bisque and the pork chop. Scallops were a tad chewy but the shrimp and lump crab were delicious and the garlic butter sauce very flavorful. My husband ordered the pork chops and let me try a bite with the cherry and apple and it was out of this world! We also ordered the stuffed peppers which were on the spicy side but so delicious and we were so hungry from traveling so that definitely did not stop us from devouring them! Clients staying near the airport picked Ditka's in Robinson Plaza, so our group of five rolled in on a Thursday night ready for a good meal. The lineup sounded impressive: filet, coffee-coated Delmonico, ribeye, halibut, and even the Rocky Bleier Burger.... but the flavor just never made it to the end zone. Not a good night. We waited beyond our reservation time watching the empty table that was eventually ours. The server pointed to the table walked over and put down the menus and left. No treating. I have not been here is over a decade and now regret that decision! Best prime rib I've had in PGH. I ordered the 12oz Prime Rib which is only served on Sundays. I requested medium rare and it was cooked to that exact temperature. The meat was very tender with a warm pink-red center. To my surprise, there was not as much fat as one would have guessed, which was fantastic. The seasoning on the bark and creamy horseradish stole the show. It is what separated it from any other prime rib I have ever had. My wife and I had a dinner reservation, arrived 30 minutes early but were seated promptly. Our server Evan L was very attentive. Our glasses were consistently filled. He had extensive knowledge about the menu and how many items were prepared. Bread service, soup and salad, and our entrees were also paced well, everything arrived in good intervals. Could not have been more pleased with the service and hospitality. For a date night at a nice sit down, getting out for just under $100 before tip was fantastic. I should note that neither of us ordered drinks. Some items were very reasonable like the soup of the day ($5.50) and my entree ($45.50). My lone knock was the $10.50 Cesar salad. I loved the warm bread, and my crab bisque was delicious. I ordered a caesar salad for my lunch, but there was hardly any dressing on it. I feel like my salads at home are better lol. Obviously, the salad is probably the worst thing to order at a steakhouse, but i was still surprised by how unflavored it was. That's my only complaint! For my birthday that fell on a weekday, I was passionate about having a coffee crusted steak for lunch. I was initially sad to see Ditka's coffee crusted steak was only on their dinner menu, but to my delight they were able to make the dinner item for lunch! The waitress was so kind! I was so pleased to enjoy the Coffee Rubbed Delmonico. In lieu of green beans I swapped Crispy Brussels Sprouts! For starters we had Mike's salad and the Sherry Crab Bisque. My husband enjoyed the Vodka Rigatoni as his entree. We were gifted a sweet treat for dessert and ordered a cappuccino to pair! Ditka's is quiet at lunchtime and their lunchtime prices are comparable to any other restaurant in the area. I know restaurants are busy on Mother's Day but Ditkas always runs out of prime rib so early in the day. They advertised it on their Mother's Day menu so I made a reservation for 4pm because that's all my mom wanted as her gift. The waitress so bluntly told us they ran out at 3pm. Ruined our gift. It's not easy taking mom out of her nursing home but we did it just to be disappointed. A few months ago, we brought her here at 4 and they were out of it as well. Maybe they should not advertise it for dinner. I don't know how much earlier I want to eat than by 4pm. Perhaps they should save some from lunch so they can serve some at dinner. Just poor managing. It would never occur to me dine at Ditka's, but I was entertaining some out of town colleagues staying by the airport, and our originally selected destination was unexpectedly closed. So off to Ditka's we went. For a Monday night, I was fairly surprised by the size of the crowd. Most tables were occupied - a hopeful sign. Restaurant was generally clean, albeit very dark, I suppose befitting an old school Chicago steakhouse. As for the food... I've always believed a great steak has more to do with getting a high quality cut and then getting out of the way (ie don't overcook it or get too fancy). On that dimension, I had a fine NY strip. Cooked perfectly medium-rare, with a nice outer sear. The Caesar salad I started with was serviceable. A bit smaller than I was expecting and nothing super interesting, but it did the job. Sides were decent. I'd say don't sleep on the jalepeno hash browns. That was the surprise of the evening. And the brussel sprouts weren't too bad either. Finally, service was solid. Timely, attentive, but otherwise invisible (in a good way). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole evening. Wound up being the perfect place to host a last minute work dinner. read more

Had family visiting and called in advance to make a reservation and was told only the bar high top table was available for a party of 8 that evening..let me preface this by saying we are local..eat at Ditkas all the time..service is normally excellent and food very good..so this was our 1st choice when family visits.. After reserving the bar area table, I was called by Ditkas themselves to say they had a table for 8 in the dining room instead..so we changed our reservation to grab that round table..easier than bar stools and a better choice to visit and talk..well our 6pm reservation time came and went..we're sitting on the side asking every 15 minutes if the table was ready..no one approached us to let US know..6:15, 6:30, 6:45 now it's 7pm..one HOUR past our reservation..the 8 of us SHOULD haze left but where at 7pm are you going to find a reservation for 8 people..it seems someone either overbooked that table, or didn't leave enough time for the group of 8 already occupying the table. It seems it was more of a priority to let this group just sit and chat and chat while we waited..management didn't want to inconvenience the other group but it was ok for us to stand around for an hour..no one asked if there was anything they could do for us to right this wrong..WE asked for one round of drinks at the bar to be comped..when we finally did get seated, management did send over some appetizers..by then we were so beyond hungry! Our waitress was sweet but unprepared for 8 "hangry" customers..I was beyond embarrassed in front of family. It will never be my choice for restaurants for my family again! read more

An incredible steakhouse that offers complete decadence. Everything from the starter to the entree is packed with flavor. The chef delivers an incredible presentation that does not disappoint when it lands on your table. We come here often and we always start with the Mikes salad. My go to is the Parmesan crusted cod which with the rice and green beans is the perfect combination. The turtle ice cream pie is also magical. Restaurant is clean and orderly and service was great! Tip: best if you have a reservation. I tried this Ditka's location a couple of years ago and really didn't think it was worth the money nor worth re-visiting, so I hadn't until recently when a friend who'd never been wanted to go, so we went... four of us as a business dinner. The server was OK and the venue is nice, menu is decent too. But their execution of the food isn't very good. I started with their crab bisque and it was tasty, but wasn't hot, like soup normally is. We got their large nachos to share and the beef in them tasted interesting, but these were also not hot; in fact, they were somewhat cool. For my entrée I tried their twin filet medallions with crab cakes. The mashed potatoes were very flavorful, but cool. The green beans were tasty and hot. The filets I asked for medium, but they were well done. I couldn't even eat the second was, sa it was too tough and dry. I cut into it and showed the server and she acknowledged and asked if I wanted new ones, but at that point, it wouldn't have mattered, it's very easy to get this right in the first place, they need to do that, rather than try to make up for it afterwards. This is a pretty popular restaurant owned by a pretty popular man. From the initial greeting with the hostess, the workers were super polite and courteous. The food was phenomenal. I had the lobster mac & cheese which blew my mind away. That was followed by the steak which was made exactly to my liking and well seasoned. I ordered the steak as a recommendation and I'm very glad I did. I skipped out under desert during this visit because the food was plentiful and filling. Actually, even the bread was delicious. I usually like to order cocktails but given that this was a steakhouse, I went with the wind. I did not realize we remember what it was called but even that was good and it came as a recommendation from the staff. They know they are talking about.
