They have lots of interesting candy, including a whole bunch of unique and "gourmet" gummy bear flavors that you can purchase by the pound in bulk. I picked out two of each flavor that sounded interesting (including some cocktail flavored ones) and also got a bunch of tiny mini gummy bears (I can't resist those). I also got some 3D gummies which I had never seen before (but when you think about it, it makes sense so why do You not see them more?). I tried to be mindful of my bag weight but I didn't see any scales anywhere so it can add up quickly. The store isn't just candy, they also have fun/cute/silly/quirky gifts and gag items, toys, pins, apparel, etc. Really fun place to look around. I ended up spending around $30 on my gummies, some Japanese kit kats, and a little pin. I'm glad we stopped in but I wouldn't need to go every time I'm in the area.

They have several flavors of individually-wrapped full-size pralines and offer boxes of three (and it's a beautiful box) at no upcharge. They also carry some non-praline items like local hot sauces and spices. All the items are priced incredibly affordably, especially compared to other praline and gift shops I checked out! I stocked up on a bunch of items here to bring back home as gifts and personal treats. The woman working behind the counter was lovely. She overheard me expressing interest in one flavor of praline and promptly cut one up for me to sample, and she also noticed one of the pralines she picked out for a box was broken and immediately switched it out for another one. Definitely make a stop here if you're looking for souvenirs or just to sample some famous pralines.

Another plus is the location--it's just a short walk from Bourbon Street, making it an easy stop while exploring the French Quarter. Definitely worth checking out if you're in New Orleans.

I thought I didn't like pralines, until I tried the ones from southern candy makers. The pralines are buttery. They melt in your mouth. The pecans are huge. The original creamy is a classic masterpiece, but the chocolate one is just as divine!
