Wow wow My husband and I went here just yesterday for the what's becoming their infamous unlimited snow crab on Wedn evenings. Yes, they were busy. The staff really busted their butts though! I admired how hard everyone was working and still remained so friendly and with how many table turn overs and crab they were serving, that's hard to do. MAKE A RESERVATION, if you can. We were seated immediately and had food on the table in 15 mins with a reservation. The crab was perfect and the sides were yummy, got the brussel sprouts and hush puppies and they were great. We sat outside which was great. It was a slightly warm evening but they have two big fans running that helped a lot. We will definitely be coming back not just on Wedn but again to try out the other menu items. read more

Food quality is overall good, however service takes away from that. Went for their ayce crabs and struggled to get refills. They have a policy of only one additional leg per reorder. So you sit there and wait forever to get the next reorder it only takes minutes to eat one crab leg. In addition they struggle with juggling all of the service and create a ton of extra dishware. Bar really seems to struggle not being able to get out drinks or beverages. Bartender is assigned to outside tables, which makes absolutely no sense. In addition when you get the all you can eat, the refills are only on the protein. It would be nice if they did it on the sides. And cost them a lot less for a guest to fill up on sides versus crabs. Either way it might be worth going on a non all you can eat night. read more

Dropped in for a yummy bite to eat last night. We were greeted and seated with a super friendly staff member. Our server was spot on with service. The owners checked on us a time or two. The pictures online do not do justice for how nice and well they have remodeled and decorated. The back wall is covered in family photos that brings a lovely sense of happiness. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and the charcuterie board. Our daughter ordered the kids chicken strips and fries. The food was delish! We will definitely be back! The service was great but the food now do much. The fried green tomatoes would have been great if they weren't cooked so hard. The sandwiches are all cut into 1/3's for sharing. The pimento cheese bacon burger had 2 slice of bacon cut in 1/3rds. The blackened shrimp po-boy had 6 medium shrimp on it so there was way more bread than shrimp (not a po-boy as that is made with French bread & has LOTS of shrimp on it) they should change the name to sub or sandwich. Then you wouldn't expect one thing and get another. I'm glad I didn't order the low-country boil as I'm sure it doesn't have much seafood either. Very happy to have another solid restaurant in the area. Tried the cedar plank salmon and the fried catfish sandwich. Both dishes were ample in size and flavor, and cooked perfectly. They allowed us to swap sides without issue. Server was friendly and owners very kind and engaging. Prices were fair and menu was decent. It's not all seafood so there are some alternatives. We were really excited to try Dive after viewing recommendations on Cherokee Connect FB page. The draw of an AYCE crab leg event was a really good enticer. We experienced several hits and a really big miss. For the Ambiance, the decor and the beach vibe were really nice. Super atmosphere, and super comfortable. Very tolerable noise level. The restaurant was super clean. As to the service, we were greeted right away with a smile. We had reservations for 6p on Saturday, but would have been seated right away without one. They were almost full when we got there and had folks waiting when we left. If you are going on an AYCE night Wednesday or Saturday, you should make a reservation. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. We didn't have to ask for refills, take out containers, or the bill. She was on the whole time. Now the food; I'll start with the good, my SO ordered a shot of Jack. Super affordable @ $8, it was a large shot too. For the not so good; we started with the Shrimp and Crab dip with crostini. There might have been three chopped up shrimp in the whole skillet. You'd be hard pressed to find any crab in there. It was mostly cheese and whatever else the base was. It was pretty bland too. At $15 take a pass on this one. We don't eat a lot, so all you can eats and buffet aren't really a draw for us. That said there were folks really enjoying that AYCE crab leg item. For us, the SO had Fish and Chips which is his go to at most seafood places. It was not good. Not sure how old the fish was and the texture would indicate that it was overcooked, but when I snapped it in half the fish has a glassy appearance indicative of not being cooked thoroughly. Kind of odd really. I had the low country boil, as it came with the snow crab legs and I was really wanting to try those. I immediately took a bite and started with the sausage. It was spicy and delicious! Unfortunately, it ruined the rest of the pot. The potatoes, corn, shrimp and crab had no seasoning or flavor. Tasted like it was just boiled in water. I've never had a boil that didn't have some sort of seasoning like Old Bay or Crab Boil added in. It was disappointing. Also the crab, it stuck to the shell. It took a lot of work with out any reward to get any of that crab meat. It would be hard to believe they were just having a bad night. As a cajun, I've come to expect a certain quality and level of seasoning in my seafood. Dive just didn't meet the bar. read more

Family owned and operated, Kipp even stopped by our table to visit (not just to make sure we enjoyed our meal, I mean really talk to us) We enjoyed his story how he got to open this restaurant and how his sister is his partner. We wish them the best on this new journey! We were sat right away on the lovely porch. (Fan and TV, quite pleasant) Thanks to the previous owners we just love this place so we felt right at home. The server, Paula, was super nice and very friendly. We ordered the Shrimp Martini (great flavor) presentation might need some attention. We split the salad which was bursting with flavors! Peaches and pecans with mixed greens and cheese. We even split the chicken and waffles ask for extra syrup. Very flavorful and definitely a shareable dish. Wish the fries came in a basket to keep the hotter, the tray might have sucked some of their heat. All in all, we enjoyed our visit! Oh the lemonade cocktail was yummy! Finally checked out this place our waitress was so loveable and funny. The food was good. We ordered the shrimp and crab dip it was rich and decadent, the grouper sandwich and catfish sliders. The sliders were delicious. I wasn't a fan of the seasoned cheese grits but our amazing waitress switched them out for the roasted corn it was so good! For dessert I tried the ocean blue cake it was moist and creamy. I'm glad we went. read more

Wife and I decided to try it for lunch today. We were both pleasantly surprised. The decor is upscale beach and the restaurant very clean. The waitress was on point and service great. I had the fried pork chop sandwich with fries and it was excellent. My wife had the grouper sandwich and again excellent with a large piece of fish. I tried the peach old fashion and thought it was good. Wife had a gin and tonic which was so-so their gin selection was limited and low-end. Bill for two drinks and two sandwiches with fries was $52 before tip. Overall a great experience and we will go back. I would rate 4.5 stars but the service and friendliness of the staff was well above most restaurants. read more

I really want to like this place. The owner seems very cool. But this was our second time here, and the food is just incredibly average. We had a party of 4, and nobody was 'wowed' by anything. One of us had the she-crab soup and didn't care for it at all. Shrimp and grits were meh at best. I ordered a blackened chicken sandwich and they gave me fried. To be fair, they refuted the order and brought out a blackened chicken sandwich, then when I tried it I was sorry they did ... very bland with no Pop at all. We love Dive! The fish is fried perfectly, crunchy on the outside and flakey on the inside. They give you so much food that I always have a lunch the next day - BONUS! Their cocktails are strong so watch out. There are a lot of fun beachy drinks. The citrus shrimp is amazing. I love the coleslaw (wish they gave you more). Can't wait to go back. Inexperienced management, do what you will with that info. We came for Mother's Day with a 1:15 reservation that we made weeks ago. We were told upon arrival that the table shouldn't be long. Well an hour goes by and after speaking to the hostess multiple times we realize the same table was promised to us and another party of 10. We waited for almost an hour and a half WITH A RESERVATION. We finally asked how long it would take and found out the party of 10 currently at the table was just seated at 12:45. Simple communication could've avoided all frustration. The kids meal was shrimp and it came with the shell and tail still on it, which is not appropriate for a kids meal. and literally only five shrimp nothing else no extras no sides nothing. At all cost, I would recommend skipping this place. Not enough time to list the downsides. Spent $100 overall and honestly feel like I got robbed. Luckily we're not overly hungry; otherwise, we'd be looking for another place to actually finish with dinner. I had to ask for the andouille sausage that was supposed to be part of the meal. First time visit with my friend on a Wednesday for the " all you can eat crab leg special". We had a reservation and were seated within a few minutes. We told our server that we wanted the crab legs and each ordered a bowl of the she crab soup. The soup was good but it was just warm and not normal soup temperature. After about 20 minutes or so we received our first order of crab legs and sides. The hush puppies, cheese grits and coastal salad were very good. The crab was too salty and the drawn butter was salty as well and garlicky. Some of the clusters were over boiled and the shells and meat were mushy. I wouldn't know how the food is because the restaurant "wasn't able to accommodate us" I called around 2pm on Saturday asking if I could make a reservation for 9 for 4:30.. I was told no they were booked.. which is fine, but I was also told I could walk in but there may be a wait. After we all got there we were told they couldn't accommodate us..
