I ordered 3 items to go for dinner on Wednesday (11/01/2017) - Chicken Makhani, Kadi Pakoda and Aaloo Ghobhi (Potato and Cauliflower). Chicken and Kadi turned out to be good but to my horror Aaloo Gobhi was stale and stinking. The moment we opened the container it was stinking. Fortunately, we did not feed that to kids. I can not believe that they gave us stale food. It must be few days old. Will never go again. My advise to every one is to never go to this restaurant as they serve stale food. We have had takeout from Divine Curry twice and we absolutely love their food. Their Samosa is the very best I have ever had (of over 30 years of cooking and eating Indian food). Their breads are delicious and you get generous portions of them. Being a vegan, I greatly appreciate the menu that has vegan options. They are nice people, with terrific food. I went to an event yesterday where these guys were catering. I bought a samosa and a samosa chaat which was tiny. Turns out, the samosa was stale, and smelled awful. I complained to one of the servers who gave me a horrible attitude. He told me that his food didnt smell, insulted us, and asked us to leave. He practially swore at us. To further add insult to injury, I actually got sick from this stuff, it clearly wasnt fit to be served at such a prestiged hotel in Princeton. This restaurant frankly has a CRAP buffet. The food and service was not what we expected when we saw the 4.5 stars on Yelp. First off, the bill for 4 adults and 3 kids was a startling $135 and that was with a firkin FATHERS DAY DISCOUNT. The owners are very very stingy. That's almost $20 per person. That is outrageous. Fine fine... if it cost $135 the food should be good..right? Well no. The food was BULLSHIT. First off there was no paneer in the PANEER DISH and the food was sitting out for over an hour. Only the naan was good. That is not what I expected from a buffet that costs $20 per person even for the kids. DONT GO HERE FOR THE BUFFET and if you want better Indian Food just google the recipe at home and make it your self because you'll enjoy it more and you'll get better food. read more

Divine Curry offers a great variety of dishes, including many vegetarian options. The veggie pakora was a tasty starter, not at all greasy like many places. Our two entrees, Shrimp Nirgisi and a chicken dish in a green sauce (yogurt based) were excellent, interesting spices, with just a hint of heat. The owner is very helpful in describing dishes. We definitely want to come back for the Wednesday dinner buffet. Don't forget to BYOB, nearest liquor stores about 1 mile away. read more

They are listed at the top of the restaurants that offer delivery in the area on Yelp. Hence I placed the order to be delivered since I cannot pick up today. The restaurant called and asked me to pick it up since they can't deliver. When I said I can't and that's why I ordered delivery, they asked to to cancel the order "where ever you placed the order". The worst part is that they were extremely rude about it. It's completely their fault, at least I deserved a sincerely apology for putting me through this situation. This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to. I have ordered here numerous times. I had chicken tikka, curry chicken, nan, tandoori chicken, and other entrees. The food is fresh, contains high quality ingredients, and is consistent. I would not recommend eating at the actual location because the restaurant has really bad ventilation. If you want to smell like Indian food by all means eat at the restaurant. I personally do not want to smell like food, so I would not eat in the actual restaurant. read more

But we didn't get the dal and they said the chutney they gave us with the crackers before we placed our order was the chutney it was referring to. This place is the GOAT. I've had a variety of chicken tikka masalas in my life and nothing compares to Divine Curry's dish. They balance natural sweet flavors and spices to create a master piece. This place has many good features, but its weekend buffets are what serve me the best. On Saturday and Sunday every week, they have a huge assortment of Indian Food, even more than they have on weekdays. What I like most about it is that the food is always different every week. Most people don't know that even though they serve North Indian food for the most part, in their buffets, they put all different kinds of food. Food is pretty good however service was awful. Took 40 minutes just to place our order. Parts of the order never came including the rice, Naan, chutney, glasses and even plates. This Indian Restaurant is the first tandoor and curry restaurant in Hillsborough and it opened in December 2009. Located in the Kingsbridge Center, which is near the Hillsborough Municipal Building and Library, it is in the space formerly occupied by a Tex-Mex restaurant. There's plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. The Indian theme decor is pleasant and the wait staff was courteous. Reservations are suggested, especially on weekends, as it is a small restaurant and popular. My husband and I dined there on a Sunday night and had a good experience. The garlic-flavored naan bread we shared was freshly baked and extremely delicious. I enjoyed the chicken korma and the shared vegetable korma. We were pleased that the basmati rice is included with the entrees, which is the norm in our experience at most Indian restaurants in central New Jersey. The Mango Lassi drink was very good. Our entrees included the vegetable biryani (spicy but good), the lamb curry (which was ok), the sag paneer (very good) and my favorite, the chicken korma (best dish). Mistakes happen - but it's how a business handles its mistakes that distinguish it from run of the mill to exceptional. I will never go back to this place again, not because they made a mistake but because of the way they mishandled it even when the "manager" agreed that it was there mistake. What happened? We ordered tandoori platter for 2, naan variety, salad, masala tea and something esle (can't recall). The waiter asked us to confirm 3 times that we ordered the tandoori platter. We confirmed. We waited. Alll others sitting around us (arriving later) were already eating their meal - while we waited. 35 minutes later we asked when we would be served, the manager said he knew that we had ordered the tandoori platter, he heard us order it, but the waiter never put the order in. OK so why didn't the manager check to see why? He said he would have it out in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, he said the kitchen was busier than he thought and it would be another 10 minutes. We asked for the check and left. They actually accepted our payment for the tea, naan and salad (the salad lettuce was rusted -a left over from the lunch buffet?). The bill for this was not much - that's not the point, the point is that the waiter and manager didn't take appropriate action and follow up on our meal, and since it was not served, you would think they could assume the costs of the few trivial items we did receive (most of naan was uneaten and cold as we were holding off waiting for the tandoori platter). They could see we were rightly upset - not one apology! not an offer to return for a courtesy meal on them. I guess they don't need our business, but their attitude tells me they don't care about their customer's experience. Be warned! Never again here for us. read more

Every time I visit NJ, Divine Curry is a must go destination on my list. I wish I could somehow take them back to CA with me! We heard that they had a new management in place and went there to try it for the first time. When we entered the restaurant we came across the most unfriendly lady that you can meet. (May be she was thinking that if she smiles a acts friendly they will be taxes by the government.) She had a look like " Why the hell did you decide to visit us today!" The quality of this restaurant is pretty much next to nothing. On more than one occasions, the restaurant failed to provide vegetarian options in the buffet and denied an order of food saying there was no staff in the kitchen. The food that was in the buffet was cold and bland and not properly cooked, and the one manager there seemed indifferent about our concerns about the food. Usually their food is pretty good even if the selection for the buffet remains the same. My mom went there enough that they know her by name. She recently had surgery and is currently housebound. She made an arrangement for them to deliver lunch to her daily (she lives about 2 minutes away). They never delivered and refused to answer the phone for her. Finally I called and they knew why I called immediately. He told me there's a $35 minimum for deliveries despite the fact that she was never told this when placing an order for delivery. He said they can try to deliver if they're not busy. How is that helpful for somebody who's stuck at home and needs to eat? Eventually he asked me what I expect him to do and hung up on me. Their food is adequate but their customer service and sense of human decency is terrible. It's bad timing as Bombay Wok opened up in the same town and has much better Indian food. read more
