Located at Fremont East District on Las Vegas Blvd and Fremont Street
    Marites D.

Istanbul Mediterranean 2 is located at Fremont East District. You'll find them on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Fremont Street, next to Griffin. There's garage parking available on 4th Street and Fremont. Inside is bright, spacious, and clean with plenty of seating for a table, bench seat, and outdoor patio. Atmosphere is relaxing and has good music. Menu offers a nice selection of appetizers and sides, doner and shawarma, istanbul specials, and fresh from the oven. They also have breakfast items, pastries, desserts, drinks, tea, and coffee. I ordered Cigar Borek (4 pieces, $7.95), which is a Turkish appetizer made of thin phylo roll and inside has feta cheese, it was delivered soft, bland, and not even crispy, I'm not sure if I would recommend this. The rolls did come with a side of baba ganoush dip. Baba Ganoush ($6.95) as an appetizer is good and tasty! The smoky eggplant has a generous blend of yogurt, menu says there's garlic too but it's very subtle. Mediterranean Greek Salad ($14.95) was a disappointing dish, it was very sour. I was expecting whole ingredients like fresh tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and crisp onions but the salad was oddly prepared with so much marinated tomatoes that made it overly saucy, as in salsa-like consistency, texture was like pico de gallo, onions were soft, and capers made it even sour, it was so bad. I had to ask for another plate to pour out the excessive sauce, I would not order this again. The only good ingredients were the crunchy cucumbers, feta cheese, olive oil, and pomegranate sauce. For refreshment, I tried Turkish Tea Cup ($3.95), it's served hot and unsweetened, very soothing, and comes with refill. They even have assorted baklavas and cakes for dessert. I tried Pistachio Dream Cake ($7.95), this one's good! Consistency is like a chocolate mousse cake, soft and creamy, has a layer of frosting with sliced almonds, topped with pistachio crumbs, so Yum! Service from Joseph and Chef Hakan is very kind, welcoming, polite, helpful, and friendly! Though I wasn't impressed with the Cigar Borek and Mediterranean Greek Salad, everything else like Baba Ganoush, Turkish Tea, and Pistachio Dream Cake were all good plus service was exceptional! Even when it was busy, the attentive service with table being cleared of plates and drink refill made up for it, everyone in the staff is pleasant and so nice!

No wait when I got there, as they just opened. Food was delicious, and service was good. They were out of a few items but I don't mind to come back to try them when in stock.

Istanbul Mediterranean is a must try. The first thing I noticed was how clean the space is, especially with the open kitchen and food prep area. Everything looked fresh and well kept, which made a great first impression. I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good, but the gentleman at the register was patient and helpful. I went with the rice bowl with the beef/lamb combo, and it did not disappoint. It came with rice, salad, perfectly seasoned meat, and three pieces of bread. Every part of it was delicious and super filling. The meat was sliced just right, the salad was fresh and crunchy with lots of color, and the rice was fluffy with added noodles that gave it great texture. The sauces really brought it all together. The tzatziki, xzander, and chili sauce were all flavorful and paired perfectly with the dish. The vibe here is calm, comfortable, and honestly a nice change from the chaos of Fremont Street just steps away. It almost feels quiet because everyone is focused on their food. That is how you know it is good. I almost forgot about the lemonade served in a cooler mug, get it, it's refreshing, perfectly sweet and not your ordinarily lemonade. The complimentary tea at the end was the perfect touch to wrap up the meal. Highly recommend.

Yelp Review 2026 #34: In my most recent trip to Türkiye, what stuck to me the most aside from the amazing food was their hospitality. Every restaurant I went to, I was treated like family that enjoyed feeding me. I felt that same hospitality this morning when I went to Istanbul Mediterranean at their Fremont location in Downtown Las Vegas. The place is easy to find. It's just right behind the Fremont sign - the same row as all the restaurants and bars like The Griffin, Commonwealth, and Le Thai. Lots of paid parking in the area. It's a small, cozy, nice and clean restaurant. Order and pay at the counter, they'll give you a number, find a table and wait for them to bring you your food. Next to the counter is a glass case of more Turkish treats you can get: borek, baklava in different shapes and sizes, simit (it's like a Turkish sesame bagel), pistachio chocolate cake, devil's fudge cake, red velvet cake, and Turkish drinks like ayran (yogurt drink), and salgam (fermented black carrot juice). I wanted to try so many things to see how it compares to what I had in Türkiye. DONER BOX: Chopped Doner with lettuce, tomatoes, sumac onions, signature house sauce and white sauce on top of fries. You can add feta for extra $. I had the best Doner in the streets of Istanbul where they shave the Doner instead of chopping it. But I understand why they chose to chop it for this dish - it makes it easier to eat like carne asada fries. The signature sauce is tangy. The fries were hot and crispy. They really fill a to-go box with fries and Doner so don't let the $26 price tag scare you because this can feed up to 2 people. This is not something I saw being done anywhere in Istanbul but it's good though. 4.5/5 BEYTI DONER KEBAB: Doner with tomato sauce and yogurt wrapped in lavash. Tasty shaved Doner. Lavash is an almost-paper-thin, light bread so, it's not a heavy wrap. By the way, when you get any of their Doner, your options are beef and lamb or chicken. 4.5/5 BAKLAVA: I'm a huge fan of Hafiz Mustafa which has the best baklava and Turkish desserts in Türkiye - and no baklava from anywhere can compare. So, to test Istanbul Mediterranean, I got a variety of baklava. Sadly, they didn't have chocolate baklava which is my favorite. I'm pleased to report that theirs is pretty close to Hafiz Mustafa! Light, crispy top layers of phyllo, lots of nuts in the middle, and the bottom is soaked in syrup. 4.5/5 I asked if they would consider adding manti to their menu (with an Armenian pronunciation) so I had to repeat myself. They said it's hard to make so maybe not. They gave me several rounds of Turkish tea for free even a cup to go which was very nice. I'll definitely be back! Tip: if you're lactose intolerant, don't mess with the yogurt drink! I tried it when I was at Turkish Airlines Lounge because I was bored. It's an acquired taste. It's like salty sour milk like runny ranch dressing. It made my stomach hurt the entire flight. Never again.

We were Downtown and passed this place and had to try it. I love wraps and doners. The restaurant is beautiful with very comfortable seating and also very clean. We ordered a sandwich and wrap and both were very good. I've never had pickles on these types of sandwiches before and they worked very well together. On the wrap we also added feta and in my opinion it overwhelmed it a little so I won't do that again. All the desserts we tried were very good as well. One thing they need is an ice machine. Hopefully they get one soon and there are restrooms in the back.

Stopped by on a busy Friday night. Staff were super friendly and explained the menu to me. They recommended the flatbread so I ordered that and a rice pudding. It was all very delicious. I like that you can see the oven and the food being made. Would visit again.

This place has great service. Hot, yummy food and great staff. They hustle the food out to you and make sure you're all taken care of. At first I was getting jealous bc we didn't get the "Turkish experience". There was a distinct difference in the service given to the speakers of the language but we just asked and we received the "Turkish experience". We were given Turkish coffee and tea after our meal. It is tiny inside but our party of five made do. The meat is so good and that spicy sauce for the kabob was at a level 9. We all enjoyed our food.

I was too excited to take pics of my amazing food LoL. Now I know why Turkish is proud of their Coffee, Turkish Caffe is DIFFERENT.

It was my first try for Turkish food, and it was AWESOME! I love Turkish breakfast especially the bread and Kaymak were heavenly tasty. And the eggs were totally different level of egg dish. You must try Pide and Turkish tea. And the best was Turkish Caffe. All the services and atmosphere were amazing It is worth to visit again. I love to have my go to place at Las Vegas. I hope this will open in my town.

Wow, the Beef & Lamb is absolutely incredible here. Tzatziki is off the charts, and the service was excellent. 10/10 one of my new favorite spots off Fremont. Great for dinner or a late night snack. UPDATE: Came back for a late night snack. Can't get enough. Super delicious.

We had a wonderful breakfast here! The breakfast plate was delicious, and the cheese sucuk pide was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We never regret coming to this place, it's always a great choice! Highly recommend!

    Chocolate Baklava - so good!

It had been a while since I tried somewhere new on Fremont, so I decided to take a walk and see what had opened recently. I noticed Istanbul Mediterranean, which has taken over the space where a chicken burger spot used to be, and since it was such a beautiful day, I decided to pop in and try a wrap. As soon as I walked in, I was directed to the cashier to place my order. The menu was simple and easy to read. Some items were new to me, but each one had descriptions underneath, which made it helpful to understand what was included. While waiting to order, I noticed the dessert case and immediately spotted chocolate baklava. I knew right away I had to try one. I ordered a chicken wrap in lavash, a bottled water, and of course the chocolate baklava. The person who rang me up was very friendly and gave me a number for my table. While I was waiting, he came by with a small glass of tea. I told him I didn't order it, and he smiled and said it was just for me to try. Such a thoughtful touch! I happen to love tea, and it was piping hot and delicious. Soon after, my wrap arrived. The chicken was flavorful and appeared to be in a tomato and paprika style sauce with a slight smokiness and a gentle kick of heat. The fresh vegetables--lettuce, cucumber, and onions--added a nice balance. I might ask for a little more onion next time, but overall it was a satisfying wrap. The real star of lunch, though, was the chocolate baklava. It was rich, sweet, and packed with chocolate flavor--honestly so good I could probably eat several of them. The restaurant itself looked nice and welcoming, and the service was excellent. I'll likely come back again to try the gyro, since that's one of my favorites. If you're exploring Fremont and looking for a hearty Mediterranean wrap or gyro, this place is definitely worth checking out. Njoy!

This new restaurant is amazing. The Turkish food is delicious, plentiful and reasonable. Anja, the manager is very friendly and very helpful. She suggested several dishes that we really enjoyed. For a party of 6 we add the Meze Trio, Istanbul Salad, Rice Bowl (Bulgar, lamb & beef, hummus, veggies, bread), Iskender Kebab, Lahmacun (Turkish pizza), dessert called Layer of Taste (4 baklavas). We also received their complimentary tea! We look forward to going back. Zane, the owner also stopped by, very nice gentleman. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations but we arrived about 5:45 pm on a Thursday evening and were fortunate to get 2 tables joined together to accommodate all six of us. Anja, a huge mahalo for welcoming us!

I've had Greek food that was more flavorful. Greek food tends to be a bit pricier than others so I have a higher standard. I can brag on a few things. The restaurant was very clean and cute. I loved that they had TVs and we could watch the World Cup game that was on. You order your food up front, pay, grab your drink, and then sit down with your number. They bring the food out to your table. I love the CocaCola freestyle machines. Unfortunately this one didn't have any diet or zero options other than Aha sparkling water. That was a bit disappointing. They do have canned Diet Coke along with some interesting Greek drinks in a refrigerator. I ordered the gyro plate and my son got the falafel gyro. We both got the feta fries. These are really delicious. There was so much feta and herbs on the crispy, coated fries. My portion was great on my gyro plate. The salad was pretty but the Greek dressing was very mild and lacking in flavor for me. The same with my gyro meat. It was just okay. When you mix beef and lamb, it creates this delicious flavor and I just didn't get that here. The tzatziki was very bland to me. It was almost just straight yogurt. My son's falafel pita was very good. It was soft in the inside with the slight crisp on the outside. It was a large size pita and filled up my teenage boy. The desserts sounded delicious and the baklava in the case next to the registers were phenomenal looking. We didn't make it that far to get to have dessert. Since my son loved it so much, we will be back. I will try a different plate next time and hopefully be able to get dessert also.

This review is for Las Vegas Restaurant Week…read more This restaurant week set meal was truly amazing. It's been a long time since I've been wowed by a restaurant. I highly recommend everyone try their lunch. The price is incredibly reasonable, and the food quality is top-notch! For an appetizer, a whole fish entree, and a dessert, the Restaurant Week special is only 40 bucks! Even if you can't make it out to taste the food during Restaurant Week, their usual lunch prix fixe (with the same dishes) is only 45 bucks. Compared to the Mayfair Supper Club I just went to, this place handles their fish remarkably well. It perfectly retained the tenderness and juiciness of the fish, and the skin and edges had a bit of charred, fire-roasted aroma. It left me thinking with great satisfaction: this is exactly how fish should be prepared--simple! The octopus appetizer was also incredibly tender with absolutely no fishy taste. The kitchen's grilling technique and heat control are just exceptionally well-handled. I also quite liked their dessert, Greek yogurt and candied orange peel. I think using orange peel has an advantage: even though it's been candied, it still retains the natural bitterness of the peel, so it's not overly sweet. Speaking of olive oil, the olive oil at this place deserves a shout-out too. It has a very strong grassy aroma and a distinct, pleasant bitterness with a sweet aftertaste. We also added an order of their signature appetizer, which is thinly sliced zucchini and eggplant fried and stacked into a tower. It was seriously so crispy and delicious!!! And very eye-catching! This dish is great for sharing, though it did get a little greasy toward the end, since it is fried after all. This single appetizer costs a whopping 41 bucks! It's even more expensive than the Restaurant Week set menu! But it's super eye-catching and tastes great! Oh well, let them have my money.

We were deliberately scammed. An extra $100 item was added to our bill, apparently hoping we…read morewouldn't notice or question it. This was not a simple mistake--it appeared to be a deliberate attempt to overcharge customers. To make matters even worse, one member of our group suffered severe food poisoning after eating here and had to be treated by emergency medical services. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. We strongly recommend checking your bill carefully and avoiding this place.
