It's true, the buns are underwhelming and dry. It's not as bad as I feared from the reviews: not like an old dinner roll, but airy, like the inside of a stale grocery store croissant. The interior is pleasant and the customer service is pretty good. Decent coffee too. Probably won't ever order one of those buns again. When you think of something like the texture of a great cinnamon bun it feels like such a missed opportunity. I wonder why the owner hasn't tried to improve this. read more

This place is really good for their açaí bowls, drinks, and pastries, but not so much for the buns. The topping on the buns is good but the buns themselves are kinda of dry and really just a big lump of bread. But their açaí bowls are soooo good and they have great muffins and danishes! read more

Fancy coffee shop with average coffee. I got a nice vibe from the shop as soon as I entered, especially I couldn't help but notice the golden color chairs. I got a small mocha and a choco chip muffin and both costed $11. I really felt that was expensive for average tasting coffee and a muffin that tasted as if it's from a grocery store. What a cute new addition to the Main Street of Oakland. I got Turkish coffee and one of their savory buns. The storefront is small with several tables where many people are working for school or employment. Seating is sparse because of the popularity but that's a good sign. My Turkish coffee was amazing, and to my surprise was legit. Many places just put a name in things to sell but this appeared to be the real deal. I was more impressed with the coffee than the bun. The bun was fresh and tasty, but not super filling and I was left slightly wanting more. My friend got a sweet bun and said it was delicious, so maybe I just need to try another. Nice spot for a coffee and a sit for a spell. I ordered two latte's...one when I arrived, and one when I was leaving. Both times the cups were not filled...and that's a bit disappointing. Excellent coffee and espresso drinks with all sorts of choices from flavors and milks. Great food- sandwiches and entrees made to order are delicious. "Famous" breakfast sandwich and Chicken pesto sandwich are excellent in different ways. Their house made buns are delicious- sweet and yeasty. Food orders can be a little slow during peak times but worth the wait. read more

Start your day with a tasty speciality coffee and some fresh baked brioche, either as a cinnamon "bun" or as a breakfast sandwich (more menu items to come). My friend has the breakfast sandwich, and said it was delicious, she said the brioche was buttery and soft. Only complaint, the meat to bread ratio. I had the Evening in Roma and a caramel latte there is about a $2 discount for getting them both, and it made a great combo. Like the breakfast sandwich, the amount of brioche was a bit overwhelming but I've never had a "cinnamon bun" quite like it, a brioche roll covered with cream, and dulce de leche. I could only get through about half of it, and skipped the biscotti (It looked to have nuts and I'm allergic so be sure to ask, it's not completely clear what does and does not have nuts on the menu). I wasn't as in love with the brioche, but I would count the caramel latte among the best I've had. The place itself has ample seating (multiple comfortable seats, a plus over others) and a great vibe. Service was pretty good and pricing okay, more than Starbucks or Dunkin but the quality did seem to be better than either. Worth checking out! read more

C-U-T-E. This place is unbelievably cute and tasty!! I stopped by to pass the time before a class and was welcomed by such a chill, cozy environment. The person who took my order was friendly and even warmed my pastry up even though I didn't expect it. There's a little station off to the side for water, napkins, and anything else you'd like to add to your drink. There's also plenty of space to spread out to work or clump together as friends on the sofa/cozy nook at the front of the shop. At first I thought this place was amazing but today I came in for my usual breakfast sandwich and coffee and was so disappointed. First the girl who took my order was extremely rude. She was condescending and repeatedly rolled her eyes at me. I could even hear her talking about me to a coworker very loudly. Then I got my food and was extremely disappointed with what I received. It was the smallest portion of eggs/ bacon and not worth what I paid. Luckily the owner was nice enough to remake the sandwich to where it looked more like what it usually does. Although the whole sandwich ordeal was an inconvenience, what upset me the most was how outright rude the cashier was. I will not be coming back and would not recommend. read more

This is a cute little spot to grab a coffee or a quick bite. The decor is very pretty and hip. While we didn't get any drinks the food left a lot to be desired. Both of our breakfast sandwiches took about 15-20 minutes and came out cold. I don't really care about the time at all but super confused why the food was cold. The egg sandwich seemed to be a mass produced patty; something that's frozen and you heat it up. The buns they sandwiches were on were very tasty though. We also got the açaí bowl which was fine; a bit icy. Maybe we just went on an off day; I'd give them another chance! read more

I had been waiting for this place to open for a hot minute, and upon arriving to campus this year I was hype to see that it finally was. The atmosphere is super nice to catch up with friends or do homework and the staff was very friendly. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was very good, but pricey. It was about the same price as a drink that you would have gotten from Starbucks, but at a much smaller size. I love this coffee shop! The decor is so cute and has European vibes. The flower wall and the pink chairs are perfect for pictures. The coffee is honestly the best coffee in Pittsburgh! I ordered a lavendar latte that was so creamy and delicious. They make many of their syrups in-house (including lavendar). I also ordered a Capri Chicken Pesto bun and a Sweet Paris. I have never tasted a bun that is fluffier or more delicious than this bun! Capri Chicken Pesto was absolutely delicious, and the Sweet Paris was just on another level. Divvy coffee & buns. Not what we expecting but alas, we are now full of our buns. My friend and I both got lattes. She says and I quote, ".... it's good." I say, "it does the trick." Better than Starbucks that's for one. When it comes to the buns- they had no cinnamon buns, so that was mildly disappointing as I for one am a huge fan of C-buns. Anyway, she got the sweet Paris and I ordered the rio carnival. I don't know what I thought a dessert bun was but it definitely wasn't that. We assumed (but you know what happens when u assume) that they'd be filled? Or warm? But they were the Upside down version of a Panera bread bowl. I was glad the rio carnival came with icecream. Definitely needed that moisture. Overall- we ate the whole bun so can't complain too much. Weirdly got better as it went on. The workers behind the counter were also very nice and ready to answer questions. My only advice is while the wooden cutting boards are aesthetically pleasing, it was difficult to keep the topping and bun on the tray. Best of luck to this new business!!
