The first time I went, I got a blueberry matcha. The blueberry syrup they had was pretty weird tasting, very chunky and not flavorful. My friend who tried it agreed. However, I also got a smoked salmon bagel which was delicious!! The second time I went, I got a strawberry cheesecake matcha. It was definitely better but again -- something about the fruit syrups taste off to me. It was almost....rusty/metallic tasting if that makes sense? I couldn't finish the drink because of that weird taste. The matcha itself is good though. I know that they make the fruit syrups in house which is why I feel bad giving a mid review but they have tasted off both times I have been. Definitely will come back to try the non-fruit drinks though and I'm sure they are better! read more

I've heard excellent reviews about this place from friends and was excited to see them on my coffee crawl card, which gave me $5 off my drink and also meant that I would be certain to get here in May to enjoy it. It's a small shop with a really nice selection of drinks and light bites. I always like to check out seasonal specials, both coffees and matchas. Today they had a chocolate banana bread iced latte and I was feeling more in the mood for a matcha so asked if they could make it that way. They did and it was absurdly delicious. Good quality matcha also. I had my two small dogs with me from stopping at nearby Woof Gang and asked if they could stop in just long enough for me to take my drink and go and that was fine. I look forward to stopping by here anytime I'm in the area! Pro tip: we were parked on Spirit Street which always requires meter payment, even on Sundays. We had already done that when I noticed that the garage by Choolah is even more convenient and I know from experience the first hour there is always free. Recommend parking there! read more

Just opening up a few months ago, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this cafe! Their specialty drinks are all very innovative, with fun fall and festive flavors and other unique ones, all with healthy, natural flavorings which makes it stand out from many other coffee places in the area! The cold brew was great, they use redstarts roasts which always hit, and loved their seasonal cold foams. The staff was also super nice as well as the space, which is a bit small, but shaping up to have a really homey and relaxed vibe. We came here on a weekend morning, and this place was bustling. While we did secure two seats, there was a constant flow of people in this small storefront. Maybe not the best place to work or chat. I got a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant. The cappuccino was average, and the croissant would have been better warmed. Service was friendly and prompt. I did appreciate the Pittsburgh themed art on the wall. They also have a unique selection of snacks for sale; ranging from canned anchovies to mushroom supplements. Their specialty cold drinks seem to be their main selling point. I might come back and give that a try when it's warmer out. read more

So glad I heard about this place on Instagram.... otherwise, I might not have found it! While tucked into a "spot" in the alley, it is right between two major roads in the East End and not hard to get to.The space was inviting and the barista was super personable and guided us through the menu. So cute!!! When you walk inside the smell of the aromatics is phenomenal. I absolutely love that everything is made in house and all the syrups are naturally sweetened. They even make some of their nut milks in house!! They have a great selection of seasonal drinks.
