I knew that couldn't be the problem so I took it to Autobahn Davis for a second opinion. Gene was awesome! I honestly didn't think they could find the solution since I was trying for days (unplugged my brake fluid sensors, tried holding up the parking brake pedal, constantly adjusting my turns to see when it would appear). It was driving me crazy, but they managed to find the issue in less than 2 hours! Turns out my aftermarket CarPlay wasn't properly installed to hide the wires lol. The first time I got off his lot, it started beeping again, and Gene took it back the same day and solved it again. The time he took to solve my problem was less than the time it took for the other mechanic to even diagnose my sensors as the issue haha. Good to know nothing was actually wrong with my car. I appreciate Gene for walking me through the process too, he showed me what he discovered behind my head unit, and it was a mess. He taped off all the exposed ends from those wires that the person who installed it for me didn't properly do, and I haven't heard a beep since! I also had one of my headlight bulbs replaced, and Gene also did that pretty quickly, plus it's been working well. This is my first car, so finding a reliable mechanic in Davis was really important to me, and Autobahn Davis definitely met my expectations :)

We were warmly greeted by Brian that morning. He took us around the back where the car was and assessed the damage. We were upfront with him that the car is old (10 years old) and not worth much. If the cost of repairs exceeded the approximate value of the car then we would want to just scrap the car. I appreciate how transparent this shop is. (Price for labor is clearly posted on the wall.) Brian was upfront with us breaking down the estimate for what would be bare minimum repairs he would do for safety if it were his own family car. This was just from what he could see before taking it up on the lift to inspect the underside. It was already running up close to our budget to replace two wheels, two tires, fox the front bumper and an alignment. So even though it meant we would not want to spend the money on the old car he was very understanding and we never felt pressured. He even asked to make sure we were okay from the accident, offered water/coffee, and spoke to his boss who offered to let us keep the car parked on their property for a couple days for free since it could take some time to sort these things out. They are good, honest people. If I were ever in a situation in that area again I'd love to give them my business and highly recommend them.

This is an average of 1 and 10. Fine repair work that was done quickly. It felt like the front office was most interested in profit rather than fairness. The first time I walked in they were quite busy trying to grow the franchise. The next three times there was no receptionist. I once waited on hold for 25 minutes and driver to the office only to find three people in the back working on whatever. It felt like I was overcharged when they realized no insurance adjuster was going to review the bill. A revised bill had an hour added to prepare an OEM item. An odd thing to overlook but perhaps it was an honest mistake. I will look elsewhere for body shop work in the future.
