They gave me their going rate for spring replacement over the phone, which I found more than reasonable. Upon getting my address, they said they had a tech that would be going by my town on the way to another job; they reached out to him and asked him to stop at my place first. The Tech arrived with a van that appeared to be well equipped for any type of job and got right to work. He was pleasant, professional and efficient. He had the springs swapped out within the hour and even took the time to lube all parts of the door for smooth operation. Received and paid for the invoice at the end of the job, price was exactly as quoted. I will gladly do business with Rainer Pacific Garage Doors again and I won't be shy about recommending them to my neighbors.

His team does a fair amount of incidental damage too. Damaged finish on floors. Left us to re-install electrical fixtures and other things removed from walls. Leaves clean up from every step to the home owner, lots of blue tape and cardboard to remove. Also locked me out of my house. Super expensive. But I guess it kinda looks ok when he's done. UPDATE: he designed and installed this shower door with a light switch half inside/half outside of the shower. Clearly against code, dangerous, and looks idiotic. Only solution is to put the switch in the other room (awkward) or have to hard-wire it always on and use a smart-bulb to control the shower light (very awkward.) He also didn't seal the new blank cover, leaving it still open to water hitting the live wires (dangerous.) Looks like I will have to finish this part of the job myself. Hoping he comes back to re-do the tile, but at this point not trusting him to get anything done right.

He explained things to me like a normal person, because hey, I'm not a plumber. Setting up scheduling to get the re-pipe done was smooth from talking to the Colletts. Moving on to the day the job started... cue Nick the Plumber. Nick became the person of my dog's adoration, who cares that I feed him. He was thorough in explaining the plans for each day, communicating changes as they arose, cleaned up each day, and ensure my dog wasn't ignored and got all the pets he needed. The permits were handled and the inspection was flawless. The only hiccup was when it came to the Sheetrock/drywall to close up my walls with another company. I expressed my concerns and issues I was having with the Collett team and they addressed the issues right away. Nick came out to check things, redo some work, and Cameron stopped in after the job was done. Having such a large job done on your home is costly and stressful from any company. I called Pierce County Handyman for reinstalling 4 outside corner sections of baseboard and adjusting 2 transition pieces that had been installed improperly previously. They scheduled me for a visit about a week later so an estimate could be provided. Then a day before the scheduled visit, they asked to reschedule it due to a personal reason. I agreed to reschedule. They showed up on the second appointment and provided me with a service quote and a proposed service date. I got back to them 2 days later confirming the service and was informed the previously proposed date was no longer available. They then proposed a new date in the morning which I agreed to it. 1 day before their schedule service date, they call asking to reschedule from morning to afternoon, which I also agreed to. Then on the date of service, they texted me 2 hours before their scheduled start time to attempt to reschedule for a different date. I let them know that I had made plans for the work to be done that day and that if not possible, then to cancel the whole thing. They weren't able to come out and the service was canceled at my request. A total of 3 weeks and a half went by with multiple service days agreed to and subsequently rescheduled on Pierce County Handyman's request. In the end, no work was done...
