After going to my previous nail salon for 5 years & 3 months, they recently closed (sold it) and my most favorite, manicurist quit doing nails. I decided to give this place (opened 7 months ago) a try since I've been passing by it everyday and it's near my house. I'm so glad I did and if I could give it 10 stars, I would. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner, David, whom I was going to request to do my nails & toes based on Google reviews. He asked what color I liked and brought over a whole book of nail colors and all the color palettes for me to choose from. So many colors! The other manicurist, Tina also brought over a stylus for my phone (to keep), how thoughtful! I opted for the color Fiji by Essie for my toes and South Beach Pink- ANC powder for my nails. David is like a perfectionist, he took his time making sure all my nails were clean & even, listened to what I wanted and did such a meticulous job on my nails and toes. The price here is significantly more than what I paid at my previous salon but it's worth every penny. Not sure if they do complex nail designs or acrylic here but they do dip powder, ombre and glitter designs for sure. The pedicure+callus eliminator I received from David was the best I've ever had. Not to mention, the foot, leg and mini neck/ shoulder massages were amazing! I was asked if it felt good, I nodded with a huge smile, meaning absolutely. I truly felt like I was being treated like a princess while I was here. I was offered water & everything. The salon itself was super clean and David was as friendly as one can be. This salon was one of the few nearby that had reviews mentioning chrome gel nails. Once I heard (and confirmed) the $30 price tag, I just had to see what all the fuss was about (for less than what other salons quoted me in Queens and Long Island)! I went today on a very rainy day, so that likely explained the complete lack of other customers. Not an issue as I got plenty of extra attention. I parked outside the salon - one hour parking is allowed between 10am and 10pm. The chrome application is super odd! Everything is the same as color gel leading up to the chrome application process. It's put on by a smudge stick of sorts, and actually stays on (go figure!). It looks cool, but I don't get the more expensive cost for these. My first issue here (and one star deduction) was that, at some point, some of the chrome polish came off my right hand's ring finger during the UV light drying process. He had to do a little redoing which led to some tiny bubbles on the nail that I noticed upon leaving. It's a slight imperfection that is likely not visible to others, but I can see it, and it's driving me slightly crazy for now. I'm sure I'll get over it. The other big issue is for me (and second star deduction) is that this is a place that dropped a surprise charge ... at the end. I don't like not being told this sort of thing upfront. I approached the counter and he quoted me $35. When I asked why, he said it was for the previous color gel removal. I understand some salons charge this ridiculous extra charge, but $5? And why wasn't this told to me BEFORE he started removing the gel? It's unprofessional and comes across as just plain sneaky. It's also the sort of thing that makes me not want to return to a salon, because it just doesn't leave a good impression. read more

I have an awesome nail tech but the spot she's at is always crowded so you feel a bit rushed. Tina took her professional time on my feet. She allowed me to soak for about 10 mins, my glamor mag, US mag and I. Along with the usual services, they offer chrome/mirror nails at $30 and the new ANC no UV light, orderless no fan calcium and vitamin enriched nail technology (French)$45. David's technique with my hands was a bit brusque but he was equally professional and friendly. I got chrome and though the pictures may not capture the mirror effect, I am extremely pleased with their work. It's also a very sterile scene happening here. With all that AND free wifi! Yeah baby, I'll be back. Thank God my family is now on this side of town. Update: One day later and my nail colour starts peeling. I got mad. I called David, I explained what I was seeing and offered to send him a picture, his immediate response was "come in tomorrow so I can fix it". Wow! I am beyond tickled! This is the second time I come and leave 100% satisfied. I got a gel mani and regular pedi. I wish the gel mani selection was a little more extensive but it's really not that serious. Probably the worst experience I've ever had going to a nail salon. I called yesterday and made an appointment for a manicure with acrylic and gel polish on top and a gel pedicure. Before getting off the phone I wanted to confirm how much each service would cost. I was told $60 for the nails and $30 for the gel pedicure. I get to the salon early for my appointment, I was told go pick a color I said wait I wanted to do a acrylic with gel polish he disgustingly takes my hand looks at my nails in disgust. So I said "is there a problem" he said "how long do you want these and I didn't know you wanted tips" so I said "it's fine if you don't have the time it's okay, but is there a problem"? The nice woman that was preparing for my pedicure intervened and said no, no, he just gave you a price over the phone $60 so I said "how much would be it for the tips"? She said $70. So I said " no worries, a ten dollar difference isn't a big deal" he still seemed annoyed so I said "if there's no time I can leave and go somewhere else" the nice woman doing the pedicure said no, no. Then he looked at my toes in disgust to as I sat down in the chair, other then leftover gel nail polish they weren't even that bad. Overall, my experience was awful and very uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the nice lady doing my pedicure I would of walked out and given another establishment $130! David was rude and seemed annoyed that "he had to do work today". My nails came out horrible, even my husband said he's never seen anything like them. There were dents in almost all of the nails from when he applied the chrome! I walked out of there looking like I had claws attached to my fingernails. Needless to say, immediately came home and filed them all down after several people told me I shouldn't of even paid for the service considering how awful they looked and the service. The woman that did my pedicure was great, she was very kind and even ran out to my husband and two kids to give them lollipops. My pedicure came out great. Sad I won't be returning as she was so nice! She definitely should be running the business because David has an attitude and is so incredibly rude. read more

Best nail salon I have ever been to. First of all, the owner and wife are the kindest most personable people you'll find in the local service industry. I walked in for the first time 30 minutes before closing and they were extremely welcoming and friendly. Wait time is minimal and they work exceptionally well, taking their time to give you perfect nails.
