I am gonna be calling the Board of Health on this place. I went in there to get a nose wax and the woman who was doing my service. Just started putting your fingers in my nose, no gloves on. She tried putting some weird wax in my nose and then putting some kind of a piece of tissue inside to pull out the hair. I am literally disgusted and had to push her off me. She did not speak any English so I walked out. NEVER EVER TRY THIS PLACE. I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE IT ZERO STARS. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. read more

I called in last minute on Sunday's morning and luckily they took care of me at around 1.5 hours later . It was perfect for me since I need to arrange babysitter for my kid. Gel cat eyes style has been on my bucket lists since " forever " till today I''m so happy to get it done . Karen did my gel manicure and Kim did my Spa Pedicure. I love their services, it was quick, professional, and a marvelously beautiful. I would love to come more often if I live close by because all of the ladies are very nice . Place is neat and they have COVID protectors which allow the beautification process to commence at a reasonable distance - (not that this is going to be a deal breaker) I only mention because you guys Amy care about that. Prices (lowest) is $9/10 for a nail polish change (hands / feet) Most expensive $70 for the Galvanic facial. So as you can see prices are reasonable. Today I got the Gel Pedicure ( 45) Regular manicure (16) Brow wax (15) Chin (12) Wait there is a life hack!!! DONOT I repeat donot allow mail salons drill of your Gel manicure. Let them use an acetone to soak then a tool called "The fisher " to scrape the gel off. Learnt that from Karen, here. I really enjoyed my time here peeps! Will be back! read more

Let's just start with nails. I see uneven polish after it's done. I didn't want to talk to them about it, because they made me uncomfortable, I will talk about that in a bit. The polish started to chip and peel that very next morning. By the third day, the polish is just so bad that I have to remove it on my own. Frankly, painting my own nails lasted longer than that. Ok, uncomfortable. They speak their own language among themselves which is fine, usually, until they started looking at me. Even staff who are not working with me started "check me out" after they talked in their own language with each other. They usually have a weird smile/laugh afterward "checking me out". The discomfort was just very unbearable. I really wanted to leave. I am not brave enough to ask "What the hell are you looking at?" or some other way to ask why they are looking at me. Also, I read some other users' reviews. Yes, they are rude. I witness how they treat people walking in, and the staff answering phone calls. I am not going back for sure. I was in desperate need of a mani pedi at the last minute and a friend recommended Karen at Dj nails. I called to make an appointment later on in the day and they were more than happy to help me out. Karen was all booked but luckily she said if I could come half an hour earlier she would be able to squeeze me in. I got gel nails and a pedicure. Karen did my nails and she did a great job! She was very careful and gentle. As for the lady who did my toes unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was very kind and friendly. As someone who is a newcomer I noticed when a customer would come in they all greeted them. They even knew the ladies by their names which means they always come back. I have never had a problem waiting to get a pedicure here as this place is usually full with folks. Except for today. I was happy to see that there was only one customer getting a pedicure and there were two other staff sitting in the spa chairs on their phones/laptop. Everyone smiled at me when I entered as I proceeded to pick out a color and told them I was here for a pedicure. I sat and waited to be directed to one of the five empty spa chairs. Ten minutes went by as I sat and watched the unbusy staff chill and chat amongst themselves. I waited five more minutes before I asked "uh, how much longer before I can get a pedicure?" And the one staff who was working on a client said "I am almost done...soon." Uh, seriously??! What was the job of these other two staff?? I am a regular customer and have seen both these women work on feet! Why, with no other customers, am I sitting for now over 20 minutes to get a pedicure?!? I got a snarky look from one of the staff so I got up and left. Why should I pay to be ignored? Was this racism by these two?? How come no one, the boss or anyone, was professional enough to come up to me and explain why those two just sat while I waited?!? I am getting so sick of this type of poor service and lack of respect for those of us who are trying to support local establishments. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. I was hoping to pamper myself and have time to relax, but I was mistaken. The lady doing my pedicure kept cutting close to my cuticles and filing my skin instead of my nail. The manicurist did an ok job at first. But then it just got worse. She cut me a few times and didn't care. The next day, my top coat started peeling off, and nails were not smooth. You can see the uneven look to my nails. I've been going here for many years. Looks like a lot of new technicians. I had made an appt. For my daughter, a friend and myself for 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Stopped by this place for the first time to get my first set of acrylic nails and was horribly disappointed :( I got medium length almond acrylics and ended up with crooked nails, 2 bleeding cuticles, and a bloody pinky finger. I've attached pictures of the sloppy work with the unconnected white lines and sheer base coat which shows both my real nail and the glued on acrylic nail. The undersides of my nails were packed with leftover acrylic and nail polish. For $46, it wasn't worth it and I'm going to go elsewhere to get the same design and get it fixed. read more

Been coming here for 2020 and have enjoyed my visits, staff is attentive, nice and they keep the station extremely clean, plenty of street and rear parking spaces. With Covid they have done an excellent job in having safety glass and mandatory mask wearing to both staff and visitors. They are very gentle with the pedicures, you hardly feel a thing, comfortable chairs that massage your back. Very pleasant experience. My Toes are happy for sure! Walked in on a Saturday morning because the reviews were based on full sets (acrylic) and gel manicures. I just needed a pedicure. I walked in at 9:15am and was greeted by a woman who seemed occupied with her cell phone. Sadly, I stayed but regret it. This has to be my top pick for long lasting, affordable gel nails! Van (my beautician), was sweet, knowledgeable, and a perfectionist. I asked for a certain type of design on my gel nails. Not only did she clarify by drawing it out on a napkin first, but she made sure that I liked it on one nail before continuing on the rest. She also did the pedicure, which was off the chainizzle. I wanted to see how long the gel nails would last before writing the review. Its been 3 weeks!! I just started chipping at the tips. Being that I have thin nails, this is quite the feat. Even in other shops, I have had chipping with gel nails as early as 2 days. The gel mani and spa pedicure ran me about $52 dollars. One lady did my manicure and the other did my pedicure. Neither spoke much english. Pedicure lady was very meticulous and paid good attention to the details of my toes and the end result was decent. Only complaint about pedicure was not enough time on my heels (the main reason I get a pedicure to begin with.) Got a gelish manicure, which turned out pretty, thought my right ring finger was stinging. My friend and I entered DJ nails shop today , August 5th, 2021 around 3:00pm to ask for a nail repair. The nail tech in the front of the shop to the left was very rude and unprofessional. Upon entry to the nail shop the nail tech gave us a frown as if she was bothered by us even walking in. When we asked about the nail being repaired she rudely with a loud sharp tone replied " We don't have no time for your nail repair." Honestly this place is a joke. I went here based on a friends recommendation. I asked for a full set with gel with black tips. First I stated that I wanted them short with fine tips and she said no she'll file them down and cut them, again I wanted them short. she scrapped me a bunch of times with the tool, then she placed the acrylic nail and made it show my real nail underneath the tips were not painted evenly and were very thick and runny. Almost like she put on too much glue and it didn't dry properly. After 2.5 hours I left with my very poorly looking nails that were meant with my birthday. When I went back the next day to have them fix it, I was talked about and laughed at. The lady kept stating she was sorry and didn't understand and I had 2-3 different ladies help me.
