I was very excited to try the spicy fettuccine but I feel that it could have been creamier and had more fettuccine flavor and not the overpowering spice flavor- someone else in my party ordered a burger and said the patty was dry and the bread wasn't that great. First off the food was ok ... not great but decent ... we were about a group of 20 from out of town looking for a nice lunch .. they told us that we would have to put the entire order on one tab because they don't know how to split the bills , this is the manager telling me this . A group of 20 ??? Like figure it out it's not that hard . So we decided to all sit at different tables , and they refused to do it that way as well, one lady , the manager taking orders while her husband the bartender stands alone at the bar . Me , not wanting to wait an hour for a beer got my card and headed to the bar for a beer . I asked for two tall beers from the tap and he said no , to go back and sit down and she'll take my order for my drinks , I said I'll order one from her but I don't want to wait may I just order one from the bar pay for it now , and then I'll get more drinks from my table when she makes it around to our table with looked to be at least 20 more mins , he said no it's to complicated and he refused to let me buy a beer from the bar as he was serving other customers from the bar . I don't get what was so complicated about it , seems to me like they push to have everything on one bill on purpose maybe for better gratuity or tips any ways doesn't matter , the customer is always right and I've never had an issue buying a beer at the bar of a good restaurant while waiting to be seated or if I had a table , I mean even Apple bees can get it right ... they just seemed real sketchy or just plain dumb . Tonight is my husbands birthday. He chose to have his birthday dinner here and watch the warrior game. While we were still eating the manager JD turned off the game at 10pm sharp. My husband looked at him and said man you trying to tell me to get out or what? JD said "I'm not telling you to get out but we are now closed." So rude! I don't think we will be back again. It was so rude the couple eating behind us looked at us and said wow that was rude! Can't believe JD is a manager at a restaurant. Drinks were good. Well I would have LOVED to try the food, however when I walked in on a brisk Wed night the lobby was full of people waiting for tables.. I walked into the bar and looked around the place and there was about 20 empty tables? I asked the hostess - can we just go sit in one of the 10 empty tables in the bar? And she said "Sorry those are for dinner guests".. I said we want some drinks and appetizers? Seriously? The place is half empty?.. She said 15-20 min wait - the kitchen is backed up so we are making people wait to space it out.. Annoyed we walked right out and over to Red Robin, where we were seated quickly and had a beer in our hand before even 5 minutes went by.. Went in at around 9 on a Friday night. The host told us there was about a 30 minute wait, but that was okay. We only had to wait about 15 minutes. We were then seated at a nice booth by the bar. The only thing that I didn't like about where we were seated was the obnoxiously loud drunk people at a booth closer to the bar, but hey, it was Friday. Our waitress was Courtney, who was the sweetest! We ordered a beer and an appetizer and got the drinks at 9:30 but didn't get the appetizer until 9:45, which is when we finally were able to order dinner. Time is going by very slowly. It's now 10:20 and we still didn't have our food. One of the managers, Anna, came to our table and very generously apologized. She let us now that the restaurant had only been open about a week and a half and that another server took our food to a different table. She said that we would have our food right away and that they were taking 10% off our tab and giving us free dessert (SCORE!). When we finally got our food, my Monterey Turkey sandwich on homemade focaccia was BOMB! My partner got the three cheese & spinach ravioli with Alfredo and a side of clam chowder. The ravioli was alright, but the clam chowder was better than anything you can get in San Francisco. All in all, this place was a little overpriced and the service was understandably slow. Also, I think we were the only table that the owners didn't come and schmooze at, which is both a good and a bad thing. Would we come back? Absolutely. The atmosphere is great and the food was good. So after my review the manager messaged me and urged me to try it again. Well decided to give it one more go at 11am and yet again horribly disappointed! Lunch was me my grandmother and my son. My son ordered the kids pizza. We ordered a small chicken combo pizza to share, 2 side salads and two 16oz Blue moons. Now I will say at least this time there was a different hostess and she was friendly as was our waitress. The side salads were fine nothing great nothing bad. The pizza however is a joke. It's seriously all puffy bread. It's honestly a terrible pizza. Now for this small pizza we were charged $14.95 insane considering it's ALL bread. Blue moons were $5.50! Okay, first of all I do not order steak from takeout! But covid and all of that, we are left with small choice. I love my steak rare to medium rare and it's as if they knew that my steak would cook a little extra by the time it got to my door! (30 min after ordering) The steak was beautifully cooked, and since they ran out of New York I was upgraded for free! My kids ordered spaghetti which they loved and their chicken tortilla soup was hot and creamy and delicious! I have only had Pete's during the pandemic and have spent literally hundreds of dollars on my orders and I cannot wait til i can go and get the full dining experience! Their staff is so wonderful when they call about anything they run out of or have to replace! Ordering out is one thing, ordering out from Pete's is comforting, delicious, and makes you feel like you're out on a date night right at home! Absolute worst service I have ever experienced. 1st trip our pizza sat under the heat lamp for over 20 minutes (I saw a pizza sit there not realizing it was ours). The server who hopefully is not working there anymore as she looked at our pizza a few times without serving it, said she could remake it. At this point we had been there for an hour and were late getting back from lunch. We had it boxed. The 2nd time we didn't even get to order drinks after being seated then ignored by the wait staff. At one point what I assume was our server walked past us twice without acknowledging us, then decided to come back to get our drink orders after we started getting up to leave. We went to Red Robin and had great service by Michael who was attentive and personable. Save your time and frustration and go next door to Red Robin. Great Food Great Service!! My wife and I were planning on going to Red Robin for a nearby dinner and a movie since our Anniversary fell in the middle of the week. We thought we'd try out Petes instead, and we're very glad we did! We were greeted at the door, by who we found out later to be an owner Sonny. Once we told him we were there for our Anniversary, he personally served us himself. He was very personal, and was very easy and fun to talk to. The atmosphere was great for a date night, family dinner with the kids, or a couple of beers with the guys. My wife and I ordered the steaks. They were Delicious!! No steak sauce needed. Dinner was great! Prices were good and the triple layer chocolate cake was amazing. The staff here is Not friendly. All the employees seem like they just got hired that day and are clueless. The prices are outrageous for what you get. When my family goes out to eat we want to be greeted by a friendly welcome staff and server and all we have been is greeted by rude people. The first time they forgot to bring our drinks before the food came. No apologies Just excuses. I would think people would be thankful to be back at work but instead it's almost like a chore to be there. We've been coming here on Tuesday nights for Yolanda the bartender! She is the greatest with communicating with the customers and keeping on top of all the orders and getting your drinks to you! My favorite here is the Ale House Chicken and the Caesar Salad! However, the owners have never been friendly, we could be there 2 hours go out to my car and return and the wife would welcome me to Pete's even though she had passed through the bar she never even notices her customers! I am a restaurant owner myself and that is the most important business advice I could give is to acknowledge your customers! I watch everyone that works there and agreeing with a lot of other comments, your staff is not on top of their job! We'd eaten here several months back and although the service was good, the food tasted like something you'd get at the local grocery store freezer section. The cotton candy martini was very good though. Thought we'd give it another try. We tried the cinnamon bread knots. Pretty good but no "icing" dip to go with them. They did however, offer chocolate, caramel, or strawberry dipping sauce. The pizza was good but they included toppings we requested be left off. The salad with balsamic vinaigrette was your standard bag salad many restaurants serve. The dressing was thick but good. The chicken dumpling was made with a broth, not cream base which was fine. The dumplings weren't the best and it tasted like Progresso or any canned soup. The service was fine. Driving home from Lake Don Pedro with two hungry kids and had to stop with boat in tow. We were apprehensive based on fellow yelpers reviews. My son and I had a mid western raised cattle burger and fry's which were soooo good. The menu explains there is minimal processing and never frozen. They were delicious! My daughter and husband had pasta which they both devoured with rave reviews. This place is super good. Staff was friendly and everything was clean. Steak was ordered as medium and came well done with no seasoning and almost impossible to chew. The ranch dressing was bland. I ordered the caesar salad with chicken. The chicken tasted precooked, and again, no seasoning. The croutons were stale. Dressing was a little too thick (almost like putting pudding on my salad) but the flavor was okay. Appetizers were greasy and soggy. Almost inedible. Again, no flavor. We just threw away probably $40 worth of food. Flavor, quality and freshness needs to become a priority for Pete's, or it won't last with the competition. There are several better places to eat in the area. read more

I gave a three because the food was good but the service could use some re-training. I had to get out of my table and find someone to refill our drinks. Our server came to our table obviously told she needed to refill our drinks, she had a Sprite ready and pitcher of water in the other hand. She looked bothered that we asked for service, except we hadn't seen her since she took our order. Runners brought our food out, and we'd been out of drinks for awhile. We ordered(from Wisconsin), through door dash, for my husband's uncle in California. We had many conflicting confirmations from door dash about delivery, and the food was never delivered. We called the restaurant itself and they were incredible. Tiffany was so great. She tried tracking our food down by calling door dash herself. By this time, hours had passed, and she knew the food would be old even if it was delivered. So, Tiffany said the restaurant would remake the order and deliver it themselves at zero cost to us! My husband and I have both worked many years in the food service and customer service industry. We greatly appreciate the way our situation was handled. This restaurant, and especially Tiffany, went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that appreciates exceptional service. Wow, words just cannot describe so here goes a try. My mother and I ate there during the July 4th weekend of this year, it was OK, not amazing. My wife and I have a rule of two, we try any place two times regardless of the experience and if it fails to meet the expectations a second time were done (I know grammar, but its a mobile phone so sue me). Anyways, the second time there is for my wife's birthday celebration. We ordered a 16 ounce beer, water for the table, a cocktail for my wife. Right off the bat, the waitress is like oh well they accidentally poured you a 24 ounce beer. OK whatever bank error in our favor. The calamari was chewy, but passable, everyone loved the cocktail sauce. Shortly after receiving the salads the main courses start to show up. My wife got the house chicken, my mom the shrimp linguine and I, the pastrami burger. The house chicken was tiny, one scoop of probably freeze dried mashed potatoes with maybe, and I mean maybe a whole boneless skinless chicken breast cut over it. My mom had six shrimp to like 1.5 lbs of pasta, really? I immediately complained to a bus boy who was taking our appetizer plates about the size of my wife's portion and the fact that not only tiny, but my burger tasted burnt, despite the fact I asked for some link (spoiler alert, there was none). He was like OK cool let me get the manager, so this guy comes over I tell him hey man the menu is misleading on the house chicken, the portion size is super small, he immediately apologizes gives my wife another menu to pick something else from. I tell him my burger tastes burnt (which I had my wife try and she agreed). He offers to have it redone, OK cool. So I fell him and my mom's got like 6 shrimp for her whole plate he says "sorry bro but that's just how its made". OK cool whatever at least it's edible. My wife orders a mushroom jack burger instead. A bit of waiting for the replacements, but not too bad, and the replacements arrive, yay! My wife lifts her bun to discover sauce, a hamburger Patty (overdone, she asked for some pink like me), and monterey jack. No mushrooms. 5 minutes later a guy walks buy and drops off her mushrooms. She looks inside the ramekin, tilts it and oil pours out, gross. Mind you we still haven't seen our actual server in some time. She finally walks over as I receive my redone burger, still burnt and over cooked. She gets the manager, I explain to him the Monterey mushroom or whatever you want to call it, states in the menu, mushrooms smothered in Monterey Jack. I ask him does that seem smothered in jack? Then she pours out the oil from the mushrooms and he begins to explain oh well its garlic butter that's what we do all our sauteing in. No sir its not, its oil. He says well I'll comp the burgers and the chicken dish. OK whatever we wait for the bill. 30+$ for an appetizer shrimp linguine and a cocktail as well as a 16 ounce beer. Umm no no thanks. Avoid at all costs terribly overpriced for what you get. read more
