My friends and I had lunch here recently and it was really good. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. She was great. My friends both had one of their flatbreads which they enjoyed. What a great place. Great service too. We recently moved to Lathrop, and we are so happy to have just discovered this plaza. This restaurant was recommended by my brother, who lives in Manteca. Here are some of the foods my family ordered and enjoyed Calamari- we all enjoyed this, and we all agreed that if we ever came back, we would get this again. The garlic was not too overpowering, and we would order this again next time. 10/10 Seared ahi salad- my mom finished the whole thing. She loved every bite! The ahi was served over Asian slaw. My mom said the slaw paired well with the ahi. 10/10 Chicken bacon pizza- my hubby loves this pizza. He got full after two slices, and he took the great to go. He finished the whole thing for dinner. Chicken sandwich- my dad only ate half of it, but he said he enjoyed it. Their servings here are pretty big, so he took the other half to go. He's an amazing cook, I requested to meet him in person and took a picture with him - that's how AMAZING my steak was. Both steaks were cooked medium rare and it was perfect! It was juicy not too salty with their seasoning and it was just the way we liked it. The garlic mashed potatoes we ordered with it was also creamy and pairs perfectly with our steaks. As much as we wanted to finish it, I guess hunger came and went while we were waiting and we had to take some home with us. I'm not one to complain though. Our server was so nice and checked up on us and she took care of us that night. I won't expect any fast service here though. I just wish they should minimize their menu to the foods that were a hit so that the staff that shows up won't get overwhelmed. Just my two cents in. I Love Pete's, and I fully understand the struggles of staff not wanting to work or finding a team to work with. These are challenging times. I want to make a recommendation that may be of help. 1. reduce your menu (temporarily) and have only items that sell over 80% acceptability. 2. contact the local unemployment office in your area. 3. contact the local high school (ASB) and create a training program and high students who can work. Most can do so at peak hours for dinner. BUT YOU HAVE to TRAIN them. 4. Remove the sign and replace it with new staff on-site; please be patient in training. It also had an extensive bar menu. We opted to order from the Shareables. It was an order sliders & chicken wings for us. The four spicy chicken sliders in pretzel buns were hot but didn't burn. It was perfectly completed with a slaw in Asian dressing. The garlic parmesan chicken wings had a crunchy crust & soft chicken meat inside. We paired these with a flight of four 6-oz glasses of bear: Stella Artois, Guinness, Pete's Larger & Pete's Ale. The flight was only $9.99! We decided to head out for dinner after a long day at the football field. We thought we'd grab some food at DJ's Brewery Restaurant and spend some quality time together as a family. But boy, were we wrong! Due to the high temperature in Central Valley, we decided not to cook inside our home and instead enjoy a family dinner. However, we never expected that the restaurant would be so hot with no air conditioning running. It was packed with customers, probably thinking the same things as us. Is the owner, more concerned of his high energy bill instead of providing Air Conditioning to his customers. These are also not great conditions to the working staff that provide great service even tho they were visibly over heated as well. read more
