Magnificent omelettes, a regular selection of breakfast items, and some other things for brunch and lunch on the menu. And of course at the counter, you will find delicious donuts. Beverages our self serve. Plenty of seating at high top tables, there are about a half dozen booth along the wall. There is some individual counter seating available near the kitchen, and a covered outside patio which also has seating and has sides for the cold months. Restrooms are at the back of the restaurant. Parking lot in the front which has only a few spots, but it is relatively easy to find parking along the side streets nearby. friendly staff. Don't forget to tip!

One of my favorite casual breakfast spots in Columbus! When you're craving those classic breakfast/diner vibes, DK Diner should be one of your go-to's! Everything here is awesome, from their classic donuts to their skillets and hash to even their donut sandwiches! The service is great & the portions filling; you've got to give them a try if you haven't been!

This is my second time here. I will say parking is always a challenge here. Plus the fact they seem to always be busy. That's a good thing! I had the timl breakfast which is 2 eggs, 2 toast, 2 French toast, 2 sausage, and a pile of home potato's. Plus Bry works here and since I'm Deaf and she signs it feels like home. Good food good coffee and good service.

Such a charming neighborhood diner; Makes me want to move to Grandview! Drinks are self service; seat tourself at any clean table. Wait tines are estimates per the big sign outside. The entrees were phenominal! I ordered the pick two combo. 1/2 Delux grilled cheese (tomato, bacon, cheese, sourdough bread) and a cup if soup..I ordered today's special- Buffalo Chicken. It was loaded with shredded chicken and hot sauce. Blue cheese crumbles and a saltine cracker cooled it down perfectly. Highly recommend! Mine came with house made chips. I added a side of f ranch; the chips were just ok. Next time I'm upgrading to the onion rings. Huvs ordered "The Beef" with hand cut fries. Served on a hoagie bun, this sandwhich was loaded with provolone cheese, carmelized onions and gaarlic mayo. He selected house cut fries. Think thin cut fries like you'd get at the fair. Hubs liked them. I thought they were ok. (Sorry, I wasnt big on the sides.) Breskfast is seeved all day. The lunch menu is available after 10:30. Speaking of hours, DK Diner closesat 3:00 on some days and 9pm on other days. Ve sure to check their website before coning out! They are best known for their pancakes. According to the menu, they make a donut batter pancake. DK Diner also has a donut counter. We picked up some to go. Our teenaged son will orobably snuff them out when we pull into the garage and that'll be it. No donuts for us :) We are excited to return; there us so much more to explore!

This was a really cool diner to make it to. I love how coffee is self serve and the donuts are really delicious! I loved the vibe of the inside, very homey and unique. There aren't many tables inside and Parking is limited in their lot but I feel like there is street parking available. Overall, I'll definitely be back for some donuts!

We enjoyed our meal at DK Diner. It was very busy, which is to be expected on a Sunday morning so I recommend getting there early. It is pretty small inside. That being said, we got a table earlier than our quoted wait time. Our food came out fast and hot. Prices are pretty average. They have diner classics and some unique offerings as well. One of meals did come out wrong but we didn't bother to say anything as it was still good. I had the Jam breakfast sandwich which has bacon jam and smashed sausage, highly recommend! If you have a sweet tooth, definitely try a house made donut too!

This is a small venue, made larger by the outdoor patio which was too chilly this September morning to enjoy. The servers are friendly and the service is prompt. One of them even knows ASL which we appreciate. I had the pancakes and bacon. The pancakes are rich and delicious. They don't really need syrup. And the bacon is a generous serving. Enough to share.

We lucked out on a Friday during Lent and there wasn't a wait for DK. Got the fish & chips and sat on the patio - zero complaints! They have really good dill-based tartar sauce and the coleslaw isn't too mayo-y. The fish is different than previous years, but it filled me up and tasted good. Not a terrible value at $14 with a huge helping of French fries. Hostess/waitress was very nice! Only complaint would be a little effort to make the patio itself a bit more welcoming. It's full of leaves and feels a lot like an afterthought. It's still way better to have patio seating than not, but it could be a great patio. Right now it's mid.

We arrived at the DK Diner on a busy brunch time and waited for about 15 minutes for a table. No one greeted us on arrival. After watching other patrons go to the host desk and provide their name in the queue I followed their lead. After being seated we were quickly greeted by our server who took our order and instructed us on the self service area to pour our own beverages. I had coffee and my wife a Dr. Pepper. Food preparation was quick especially given the volume of diners. My spouse ordered a turkey club with fries and I had a Spanish omelette with potatoes and rye toast. The turkey club was pretty good and the accompanying fries hot and crispy. My omelette was big. It was filled with sausage, onion, green pepper, and a sparse amount of cheese. The potatoes were crispy and hot. The rye toast was served dry; no butter. It looks like the service at the DK Diner is mostly self-serve since after bringing our meals to the table we did not see her again. The space inside and out is dated, even old. It appears to be a heavily favored spot among regulars possibly explaining my perception of self-service. The food here is served fast. The serving sizes were more than ample. The taste was okay, slightly above average but nothing to rave about thus the four rating and not a five. Would I eat there again? I think so.

I was following this TikTok foodie reviewer and he talked about DK Diner so I gave it a try. At first glance you could see it is a popular and busy neighborhood spot in Grandview Heights. Fortunately we got a table right away. But no waitress acknowledged us or came to our table for 10-12 minutes. The one who I thought was our waitress was actually the outside hostess who was flirt-gushing over some guy in the next booth for a long time before she noticed a long line of people waiting to be seated. Finally our waitress arrived after a long wait. I looked over the menu and I decided to get the same dish the reviewer raved about, the chorizo DK hash. My wife got the pancakes made from doughnut dough. Once our food arrived the chorizo DK hash looked good but as I got into the plate under the eggs and avocado, the chorizo and potatoes was a burnt mess of hash. Not really edible so I left half of it on the plate. My wife was not impressed with her pancakes made from doughnut batter. She said her Pearl Milling Company pancake mix (new name, same great Aunt Jemima mix) at home was better. Nothing special. So disappointing experience. Maybe I'll give this diner one more try with something else before I decide whether or not to add it to my go-to places to eat in Columbus.

    Teny Breakfast
    Samantha M.

DK diner is one of my favorite spots in Columbus to grab a bite for breakfast. I've returned a couple times and even showed many of my friends this spot. So, I thought it would be a good idea to treat my father-in-law to breakfast there on Father's Day. Unfortunately this last visit fell short due to the service. To preface, going in I figured it may be a little busier than usual bc of the holiday but it just seemed like an average day. Our waitress was just alright and we felt like we were being rushed when we were trying to spend quality time with our family just like everyone else. She never came by to check on us until she dropped off the bill in the middle of our meal. It ended up leaving a sour taste in our mouths, especially for the first timers. I'll definitely reconsider suggesting this place again.

Wow! Don't know how I hadn't heard of this place before now. First time for breakfast and everything was delicious!! The servers were all friendly and helpful. You're now in my official rotation! YUMMY!!!

Some doughnuts to start, the coffee is self-serve and tasty and the drink & food menus are worth your while!

So this used to be a Donut Shop that had late night breakfasts back in the day (way back, like late 1980's) and was a favorite spot in the Grandview Hts neighborhood of Columbus. Well, I was back in town for my daughter's travel softball tourney at Beekman Park on campus, and needed a place to meet up for breakfast with a couple of old friends & fraternity brothers. Thus we found DK Diner and I didn't recognize the place until halfway through Brunch! Awesome place and still owned by the same family. Great drink and food menu and don't get me started on the doughnut bar offerings! Fortunately for me, it was a calorie cheat day and I took full advantage! Highly recommend, the wait staff were friendly, quick and efficient! Were happy to explain their offerings and were patient with my stories! And the setting is comfortable and inviting, but eclectic and fun! Enjoy!

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer my questions and explain the different flavors. I tried the Chocolate Old Fashioned and the Brown Butter Brûlée French Cruller. The Chocolate Old Fashioned had a rich cocoa flavor and a dense, buttery texture. It wasn't as sweet as I personally prefer, but that's because I'm used to donut shops that make their chocolate donuts extra sugary. If you like a more balanced chocolate flavor, you'll probably enjoy it. The Brown Butter Brûlée French Cruller was my favorite. It was light and airy with buttery, caramelized notes. I actually think it would be even better warmed up with a cup of coffee--it reminded me more of an after-dinner dessert than just a donut. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Between the friendly customer service, the unique flavors, and the charming atmosphere, I'd definitely come back to see what seasonal flavors they have next.

I'm only taking a star off because they were quite expensive. I understand that these are specialty donuts and the menu is rotating, but it's hard to justify spending almost $15 for two donuts.
