He knew we wanted something interesting and we got to play with the tiles in the store until we were 100% satisfied. Dominic was nice too, but we mostly saw Brett on Saturdays. His team did leave floor finish stains on the baseboards and my kitchen quartz counter walls, so heads up, don't forget to ask them to use painters tape if you're getting your hardwood floors sanded and refinished. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. They subcontracted the work without asking and sent over a two-person crew that did not speak English, making it a challenge to communicate. They made several pattern match mistakes on the ceiling and which I had to ask them to correct. They made pattern mistakes on the wall as well, and even though I gave them the correction, they only followed the correction for one of the panels, the other two are mismatched. Plus they used adhesive on self-adhering paper which made it impossible to remove without a major hassle. Unfortunately, the poor workmanship wasn't the only problem. They were unresponsive to our complaints then threatened legal action in a way which inflated the agreed cost. While half the job turned out ok (with my help), the other half needs to be completely redone.
