Man! I have memories of when I was younger, visiting Mexico and having the best al pastor tacos I have ever had in my life.. Coming back to the states and not being able to find the same flavorful al pastor tacos I had in MX, this place was pretty close. I ordered via Ubereats one night and was blown away by how good their tacos are. Had 2 al pastor tacos with just onion and cilantro and 1 steak carne asade taco, which was quite delicious as well. Huge tortas!! I had been stalking this restaurant to open like a lion stalks his prey, for I knew that once they opened there would be a cornivore's feast. I had been to their Cermak location a couple of times and was always pleased with their food. Can you belive that 2 days passed by without me noticing that they had opened. Memo Ochoa comes with about 7 meats and cheese and pineapple, very good indeed. I also tried the ahogada. Come here if you are hungryyyyy! Portions size are BIG! Place is clean and bright. Everything we had was pretty good. I had the La Memo Ochoa and thought all those ingredients mixed together would be weird, but it worked. Only thing is, I can do without the hot dogs. Horchata was nice and tasty. Waitresses didn't really check on us though. I had to go up to ask for water and to get the bill. They were friendly and nice though, just not very attentive. The food was very tasty and fresh and the portions were so big I waddled to the car and from the car to the couch. My torta had four meats, egg, pineapple and a lot of other things I couldn't identify, but were just as tasty. I would say the sandwich was the size of small cat and reasonably priced at $8. The salsas were all housemade and the pickled peppers were also quite good. Be sure to ask for those. I would highly recommend this restaurant and encourage you to go with an appetite! This is not your typical torta place. They have about 50 different tortas and they are huge. You can probably share one with a friend. There are so many ingredients that they can put on the tortas such as eggs, hotdogs, milanesa, cheese, ham, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, pine apple,etc. The girls at the counter are very nice. The only two negatives about this place....they only take cash and worse, they don't have a landline telephone. Dona Torta does business on a flip phone cell phone. So, if you phone in a order you get a very bad connection, the calls drop or they don't to the phone in time and you get voicemail. But I still gave them 4 stars because the food is great.
